“I went in on 4th of July for the first time and tried an iced la banda (lavender) cappuccino at the awesome Robin's suggestion. It was creamy and perfect for the summer day, and Robin was so kind! I took my friend back the next day and we got an iced cortado, an iced orange despadura, and an iced.. vanilla latte! Yeah. Another customer suggested adding mocha to the orange, and it was HEAVENLY. I was skeptical of orange in coffee, but no, I was wrong! There's a reason why the despadura is the most popular drink! The other baristas are equally nice, and I just like the vibe there in general. We found a nice place to sit outside. I think the only suggestion I'd give is to make the coffee display in the center of the shop a bit smaller so people can get around it more easily. Unido is so cool. ☕️🌸“

“As a Central Asian who grew up with a similar culture and cuisine, I can confidently say this is the best Middle Eastern restaurant I’ve ever visited.
We sat at the bar, where the two bartenders provided great service.
The dishes were creatively presented and rich in diverse flavors. The Pita with Mushrooms and Hummus was our favorite.
The Frozen Halva Bar is, without a doubt, the most unique and delicious dessert I’ve ever tried. The combination of chocolate ganache, sesame, and halva ice cream blended perfectly. Thank you, pastry Chef, Evyn.“

“The staff was very friendly, helpful, and overall amazing. The person who helped us gave good recommendations. Some of the things were a bit overpriced for what you’re getting, but they did have interesting food and drink options.
Parking is horrible, but that’s to be expected in Union market. there were a lot of people doing work on their laptops but other than that, there was a pretty good amount of space to be seated if you could find it.“

“I DREAM about the blueberry pancake pie. I went to a show at Pie Shop last night (love the venue upstairs!) and got a slice of the bb pancake and- I have rarely been so happy.
Great staff, great rooftop and GREAT PIE!! Worth every penny of the $9 per sweet slice.“

“Came here for coffee and breakfast. I ordered bacon and eggs, wife ordered a croissant sandwich. Hers was better than mine. The small hash brown patties came soggy and almost undercooked. The eggs were fried nicely. The toast was supposed to be sourdough, but it was more like a thick cut of white bread and under toasted, probably because it's so thick. Bacon was nice. I had a cappuccino and it was acceptable, but not good enough to finish. This is a really clean, nice, professional coffee shop with a lot of working professionals stopping by. Good atmosphere and a solid go to spot.“

“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!“

“My family and I ordered couple of bagels, and breakfast plates. I personally ordered the western omelet, my older son got the breakfast plate, and my wife and other son got 2 bagels with cream cheese. Taste wise, everything is good, we enjoyed our meal, what really stood out was the price. The previous day, we had Star Bucks, 4 drinks and 2 croissant which came out to around $60. Here, we had breakfast for around $30 and 2 of the plates are fresh cooked meals and tasted great. The food tasted so good, I only remember to take a picture of it 1/2 way done.
While the place was small, there were at least 3 tables to sit larger family of 4 to 6.“

“Great place: friendly staff, good drinks, and excellent service.
I loved the vibe in this café. It’s the kind of spot where you can read a book, work on your laptop, or meet up with friends.
Jesse had a great attitude and made a perfect matcha. Thank you!
The music selection was good, and the volume was just right. I usually leave cafés if the music is too distracting, but that definitely wasn’t the case here.
This one’s officially on my list of favorite cafés and recommendations 🤍“

“Great spot for a quick bite or coffee break. From savory to sweet, the menu has plenty of options to choose from. The blood orange hibiscus was refreshing but needs a tad bit more sweetness for me however the chocolate mousse cake was super light and filled with flavor. Highly recommend.“

“The fam and I stopped by here after a trip the Postal Museum (review to come on that for those of you who follow...aka my wife) and were really impressed. Coffee shops are a dime a dozen in the city, but good coffee shops can be pretty hard to come by.
Ebenezers was a breath of fresh air both metaphorically in the sense that it's a beautiful shop and had a really refreshing, open atmosphere, and literally because they pump the AC inside and it felt great coming in from the muggy outdoors.
The coffeehouse itself it's surprisingly spacious. On the main level there's a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. When we came (early afternoon) we were able to walk right up to the counter to order and had no trouble finding a spot to sit. They also have a basement seating area that had a lot of seating, but it looks like they open and close that for private events, so not sure frequently it's available. Nevertheless, it was open when we were there.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They took our orders quickly and we were able to just sit down and wait...and wait...and wait some more. I think there was some issue with the espresso machine because the barista kept pulling shots and then smelling the coffee that came out. After doing this a couple of times he called over another employee and did the same thing with him. After a brief consultation they didn't do anything to the machine, pulled the shots for me and my wife and handed them to us.
I'm not really sure what that consultation was, but I've got to say, that little demonstration didn't give me a lot of comfort about what we would be drinking.
Nevertheless, putting that behind me, we grabbed our drinks, went outside and started sipping. Honestly, they were both great. I ordered a latte and it was wonderful, my wife ordered a lavender iced latte which was also quite nice. Maybe the barista pulling shots was just THAT exacting, who can say for sure?
All in all, this is a great spot to stop off. It's really close to Union Station, easy to walk to and a nice place to sit down and do some work. I'll be coming back and hoping the espresso machine is cleaned by then.“

“Very nice little cafe with excellent coffee and food. The breakfast sandwich hit the spot, hot and freshly made with scrambled eggs, cheddar, spinach and soft, not too heavy ciabatta bread. The staff were super friendly, and as an animal lover I was happy to see Chez Lily is dog friendly too. I saw a cute little pug come in while I was there.“

“The perfect spot to have lunch or a snack. The shallow pools that we have seen many of our visit add tranquility, and the light beaming in from the HIGH glass ceiling (roof) makes the place joyful. Then you have the choice of two marvelous museums: Portrait (more than pictures - a little history thrown in) and Art.“

“In a time when history is being erased, victims are being forgotten, people are being demonized, and racism/fascism/nationalism are being glorified, this is the resource we all need to reference! This site is amazing. The people at the museum are knowledge laden! The Belfer Academy is second to none! Please! Go to them to learn what we need NOT be doing!“

“I stop in here from time to time for late breakfast or lunch while at work and each time I leave with exactly what I ordered. Very consistent and affordable spot that used to take only cash and now takes card - which is nice. Some limited outside seating is available but this place is mainly a takeout location. Menu has all the standard breakfast items and they are available all day. The biscuits and gravy are basic but hit that homestyle taste for a bargain. I've never ventured outside of their breakfast food but I have no reason to doubt it's quality. If you need a quick and affordable breakfast/lunch this is your spot just south of DuPont Circle and by the Farragut Red Line Metro.“

“The dining area is small but I think that’s why it has express in the name. Other than that the food was delicious! Food was served in to go boxes which made it perfect to take the leftovers home (so much food!). We got the shrimp and grits, French toast and the egg and biscuit! Would go back!“

“Great place to lock in and get some work done. Very spacious with a bohemian aesthetic, the music was a vibe, service was quick & easy
The iced matcha latte with oat milk was perfect and not as earthy as I'm used to it tasting - it paired perfectly with the chicken Caesar salad.
I think they have social events and a DJ some days; if so, I look forward to checking it out“

“A place very popular with public employees who work in the area, all with their good identification badge around their necks.
Places frequented by workers usually guarantee good food at reasonable prices, and the Atrium Cafe is no exception.
For a bagel with cheese, an egg sandwich, a yogurt with cereals and berries and a large coffee we cost $18: less than 10 dollars each.“

“Food was great, but service was poor. The waiter kept forgetting things. He was very distracted. Also they asked on open table if this was a celebration i told them yes. My daughter sweet 16. They didn't even acknowledge it. She had on a sash and everything.“
“I’m not even a coffee drinker and this is probably Georgia best places for coffee although it is very very expensive. I don’t want to pay almost 8 dollars for a small coffee iced coffee that’s a bit absurd it was about $7.50 for a small size CrazyThat already made the drink before I knew it. The price was so I just went on with it and ordered it. I had known beforehand that it was seven dollars and some change I would’ve not ordered it. It is good very very very good coffee but that for eight dollars.“

“The wife and I are visiting from Texas and Tatte is just up the street from our hotel. Stopped in for breakfast on Day 1 and will be back every day of the trip. Service was friendly and the atmosphere and food were excellent. The breakfast sandwich on sourdough is amazing! I know I need to branch out and try some variety, but the breakfast sandwich is calling me back.“

“I usually don’t like writing a negative review so I’ll start on a positive note. I highly regard Tatte especially when visiting the City Center location. Disappointed in Tatte at this location. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was not good at all. It took over 20 minutes for an egg sandwich to get ready so I thought this must be good but something was really off and tasted weird and smelly. Bread was hard too. The almond croissant was ok at best and it was smooshed and flat. Only the coffee was good (and if it’s fresh you usually can’t mess that up anyways) Wasted $21…not sure if I’ll go back there.“

“$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. If I lived close by, I would probably come here every day ??♀️“

“Take my advice and try EVERYTHING on the menu. My highlights: the bulgogi and bibimbap, shrimp basket, chicken fingers, chipotle wrap, woodstock dream, anything off their breakfast menu, caesar salad from the food bar and don't forget they have happy hour during the week (2-3pm) for specialty coffees!! All the ingredients are fresh and delicious, great environment for big groups, outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Potomac, and very friendly staff. It's always poppin' around noon FYI.“
