“Delicious food! My friend and I went here during our DC trip. We liked it so much we made sure to go back the next day before our train left. We went back in line and ordered twice each time we went. On the second day, our cashier/server from the first time recognized us and said hi! The chicken in the amba chicken pita is INCREDIBLE“

“One of the best coffee shops in DC and definitely a favorite of mine. I find myself coming back all the time. The orange raspadura latte is a must, and they have the best carajillos in the Union Market area. The customer service is always great, too.
They also have a really reasonably priced happy hour, especially for DC. Great coffee, great drinks, and consistently a good experience. I haven’t tried any food yet but can vouch for the drinks. Highly recommend!“

“This place is the best. Customer service, hospitality, and atmosphere is on point. Pies are to die for. I saw the Tan & Sober Gentlemen here and had the best time meeting the manager who is DC/MD born and raised. Will be coming back for more pie and shows!“

“Decent sandwich and lunch place. Was pretty busy when we stopped in and there wasn’t a ton of help behind the counter. Felt bad for the folks that had been waiting some time while food delivery orders were prioritized.
That said, the food I got was pretty great. The salad was a little too oily but it was priced pretty fairly for the amount of salad I got.
Overall a decent place. Would stop by if I was looking for a safe lunch option.“

“Very quiet & intimate place. Everything was clean & easy to access. The service from Jennifer was so welcoming. You know how it feels to when you go visit relatives you haven’t seen in a while? That’s how Jennifer made me feel. We had a brief interaction but I felt at ease talking to her. The food was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered the catfish & grits. The steam & favor coming from the meal was breathtaking lol. If I return to DC I sure will be back. Also, try one of their homemade drinks. The 14 Carat drink was delicious.“

“OMG! My favorite place for juice, smoothies, avocado toast and acai bowls now has SOUP! Just had their potato squash soup, and it was better than my homemade soup (which is also delicious). Will be visiting often this winter for soup, cappuccino and "stay away cold and flu" juices. Sooo happy to have healthy options close-by!“

“Staff and baker were both so kind and welcoming to all who walked in. Some regulars they clearly acknowledged. It didn’t matter what one purchased. And calmly efficient to get everyone in/out. Patrons were also so wonderful, clearly a neighborhood gem. DC is still a city of people trying to hurry along, so I am not expecting lingering and community chit chats. Also around it are few hotels. Now the baked goods, one of the best chocolate croissant, orange scone and the banana chocolate loaf (I slathered it with some peanut butter for protein and that made it even more elevated). The egg sandwich with fresh focaccia a mist try on the spot. I would totally nominate them for an award. No fancy baked goods but that is why it is such a gem.“

“Quick, pleasant, and otherwise attentive, staff members at Colada Shop on The Wharf are consummate professionals. Even when I haven’t yet ordered, and am in line, staff prepares my order [they know my preferences] and swiftly checks me out. Coffee and food are delicious. Wonderful.“

“We visited a Tatte's in Boston and loved it, so we were so happy to find one in D.C. while visiting on our family trip. Great Hot Tea, Coffee and pastries. Croissant 👍 A little loud amd high energy but has lots of seating areas including outdoor.“

“Meeting of three friends for brunch. We arrived ahead of our reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. The server was polite and professional, but seemed to have too many guests to serve as he was slow to serve us. The French toast was lukewarm warm and unexpectedly crispy. The milk for my coffee was curdled but they replaced it with a fresh cup. The location was convenient for us and overall thermosphere and food were pleasant.“

“Had a phenomenal honey lavender latte with oat milk made with a house syrup. I would say the latte is on the sweeter side depending on what your preferences are I wouldn’t order this if you don’t like sweeter drinks. However I really enjoyed it iced on a hotter summer day! Very refreshing! And the coffee was superb.“

“Cute spot, good oatmilk cappacino, and fast food made on order. They have a lot of bread options and turkey bacon or sausage as we as the regular ones. Limited seating in winter but enough and looks like a fun patio for warmer weather. It's in a a neighborhood and good for people watching and just being a part of daily routine of DC.“

“My wife and I visited here several times during our trip to Washington DC for breakfast.
We both enjoyed the coffee and the relaxing atmosphere.
Two times I had ham and cheese omelets, and one time my wife had a sausage egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. The meals were very delicious and you can see them preparing the meals too.
The dining room was very clean and quiet enough for conversation.“

“This has been my go to place for lunch when in DC. I love the sampler platter with food representing the cuisine of the different native cultures in various geographic areas of the continent. They reflect how the peoples incorporated the available fish and animals and the types of grain and vegetation into their meals. Not inexpensive but a cultural as well as a gustatory experience.“

“Pretty good for a greasy spoon if that's what you're looking for. Not overly priced compared to most DC cafes around here. Atmosphere is a little on the downside but quick solid breakfast fair price hits the spot if that's what you're looking for. I like argue before per agency stuff“

“Went here after a visit to the National Gallery of Art. It’s literally a 3 minute walk if you exit towards Constitution Avenue.
Excellent coffee. Likely one of the best lemon filled donuts I’ve had (and it was a mini, so guilt free). And I had a really delicious ‘toast’ w Brie, apples, fresh thyme and something a little spicy (hot honey?).
They have a full menu of breakfast and lunch items. Great addition to the area. Highly recommend for a quick bite, coffee, or a little treat.“

“I never write reviews but I need to write one!! Breakfast was very tasty and had amazing flavor even if it was just a typical breakfast. Vanilla latte was so good, definitely a must if you like a sweet coffee with strong flavor. Will definitely return again when I come back to DC!!!“
“This location is very nice. Especially the outdoor seating facing the street. The staff here is excellent, nice and helpful. My chai was pretty good and it's cool that they have a few drinks on draft. I haven't seen that in many coffee shops definitely a neat feature. I didn't try any food so my review is only regarding service and drinks.“

“We stopped by this place after visiting the Bible Museum. The salad bar and hot bar foods were fresh and nicely displayed, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We had the bibimbap and pho from the deli bar — both were amazing and so comforting for the cold DC weather. Highly recommend this place!“

“Atmosphere is 6 stars. 90s / 2000s R&B jams wtih background video. Great food: the wraps are really good; steak & chimichurri bowl/wrap my favorite. The coffee is good and crazy cool selection of different coffee mixes if that's your thing. I bring my dog during the workday and he enjoys the ambience as well.“
“A great breakfast and lunch spot in SW. Food is very good and on the larger portion size. Reasonably priced with a large selection, suitable for anyone's taste. Extremely quick service, small seating area - perfect for: order, grab, and go.
I live in the area and this is a good spot to go when I am hungry and not sure what I want to eat.“

“Exceptionally delicious sandwiches. I have no quibble with their size. One is hard for me to finish in a sitting. I dream about the tasty bread, but the fillings are also top tier and wonderfully balanced in terms of flavor. I go whenever I’m in DC, and never had a bad sammie yet.“

“This bakery café is absolutely amazing! One of the best things is that you can build your own salad and choose exactly the toppings you want. We ended up selecting a lot of different ingredients, and even though there were two of us, the portion was so generous that we could hardly finish it.
The vegetables were incredibly fresh and there was a great variety to choose from. They also offer delicious soups—we tried the chicken vegetable soup and it was outstanding.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and worked very efficiently. It’s a great place whether you want to grab something quickly or sit and enjoy your meal inside or outside.
The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this café to anyone looking for fresh, tasty, and satisfying food! 😊“

“This is my second favorite tatte, after city center, only because it does get a little bit more crowded since it is a third of the size. But they do have ample charging at the bar, and there is outdoor seating that can be in the shade for many hours of the day. The service is good, and the staff is very friendly and competent. The managers seem nice and seemed to treat the staff well. Food comes out fast. No complaints.“
