“I love the atmosphere of this place. When you enter La Cosecha, you’re welcomed by a variety of restaurants and small local businesses — it feels vibrant and creative.
But I’m focusing on Café Unido, because this coffee comes from my home country, Panama. So every time I’m in Washington, I have to stop by.
The space is filled with beautiful natural light coming through the large windows facing the street — perfect for enjoying a slow moment with a cup of coffee. The aroma and flavor are exactly what I expect from good Panamanian coffee: rich, smooth, and full of character.
I believe they could take even more advantage of how special it is to have a Panamanian coffee franchise in Washington — it deserves to be highlighted and promoted more. I truly hope they open more locations around the city so more people can experience it.
I tried the Caramel Latte, and it was delicious. If you like my pictures, give a follow on IG: @framinizingdiary“

“Food was yummy (breakfast pita) and their chocolate cruffin was even better! My latte was more milk than espresso shots. The service was great and everyone was kind! They did forget one of our food items so I had to ask, but they solved it right away and the worker in charge of calling food helped us find a spot to sit. That being said, the atmosphere is kind of hectic, it was SUPER busy, which this place is popular so it makes sense. Seating is super limited and it seems like they have more people going for food than to sip on a coffee and work so there were a handful of people sitting with laptops at huge tables working while tons of people ordering food didn't have a place. Feels like they need to just kind of lean into what they want to be and have a order first system then get seating. Other than that, inside is a vibe and very aesthetic!“

“Decent sandwich and lunch place. Was pretty busy when we stopped in and there wasn’t a ton of help behind the counter. Felt bad for the folks that had been waiting some time while food delivery orders were prioritized.
That said, the food I got was pretty great. The salad was a little too oily but it was priced pretty fairly for the amount of salad I got.
Overall a decent place. Would stop by if I was looking for a safe lunch option.“

“Their menu lists 4 sweet pies and 2 savory. I went yesterday and they had all but 1 the Bruiseberry I took the other 3 sweet ones home to taste and they were all great. The sour cherry was our favorite. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-06“

“Cute spot, good oatmilk cappacino, and fast food made on order. They have a lot of bread options and turkey bacon or sausage as we as the regular ones. Limited seating in winter but enough and looks like a fun patio for warmer weather. It's in a a neighborhood and good for people watching and just being a part of daily routine of DC.“

“Quick, pleasant, and otherwise attentive, staff members at Colada Shop on The Wharf are consummate professionals. Even when I haven’t yet ordered, and am in line, staff prepares my order [they know my preferences] and swiftly checks me out. Coffee and food are delicious. Wonderful.“

“Simona Cafe in NoMa is a gem. Keith and Corey delivered standout hospitality, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely personable from the moment I walked in. The coffee is high quality and tastes as good as it smells because I’m picky like every other human with opinions lol
I ordered the Nova and it was the perfect breakfast bite: fresh, flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I wanted without feeling heavy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the kind of place you actually want to sit for a bit instead of sprinting out with your cup.
Highly recommend Simona Cafe. I’ll be back, and I’d absolutely point friends to this spot!“

“It’s a wonderful experience! The food, drink, and dessert are all prefect. Moreover, there is a great thing I must need to share: Although I fall down suddenly in the store, which is basically my own fault, the manager comes to kindly check if I’m okay super quickly. Additionally, he professionally asked if I need any help and offer some towel and some bread to comfort me. That’s the kindest and most professional manager I’ve ever met in America!“

“I come here regularly to work or just grab a drink, and it’s easily one of the best coffee spots in the area. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you’ll notice a lot of regulars who enjoy coming here. There’s plenty of seating (including a large downstairs area!) so it’s one of the few places nearby where you can reliably find a spot to sit and get some work done.“

“I had a great experience at this breakfast coffee shop. From the moment I walked in, the customer service stood out. The staff genuinely cares about making sure you have a good experience, and they take the time to listen to your order and make it just right.
What I really appreciated was how personal the service felt. If you’re not sure what to order, they’re more than happy to give suggestions and help you find something you’ll love. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food and coffee, and it shows in the final product.
The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is thoughtful, and the food and coffee are excellent. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Highly recommend stopping by if you want a great breakfast and a team that truly cares about their customers.“

“I got the vanilla café latte and it was seriously the best latte I have had in a long time. It reminds me of a latte you would have on vacation outside of the U.S. And the customer service was also top-tier. The cashier was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The cafe environment itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable.“

“Milk & Honey really impressed me today!
From the front staff to the cook, everyone was pleasant and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely love what they do—nothing but smiles all around.
I placed my order online, and unfortunately one item didn’t show up on their end. Even so, they took the time to try figure out the confusion and made sure I received my missing item without any issues.
Customer service like this is hard to find these days. Location was clean and the ambience was everything.
Everyone was kind, patient, and professional.
I’ll definitely be back!
Thank you,
From CT“
“This location is very nice. Especially the outdoor seating facing the street. The staff here is excellent, nice and helpful. My chai was pretty good and it's cool that they have a few drinks on draft. I haven't seen that in many coffee shops definitely a neat feature. I didn't try any food so my review is only regarding service and drinks.“

“Went there for the first time and was very surprised. The sourdough cream cheese donut was excellent. The matcha latte was great too, very good latte art. Not the greatest fan of the cherry cake donut.
We came back a second time the next day and tried their coffee, whilst it doesnt taste as good as Australian coffee, its definitely one of the better ones in the USA that we’ve had. We tried the mocha donut and it was fairly good, lil on the sweet side. But the sourdough donut was excellent again, highly recommend. Overall great place to chill, study, have good donuts and decent coffee.“

“We stopped by this place after visiting the Bible Museum. The salad bar and hot bar foods were fresh and nicely displayed, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We had the bibimbap and pho from the deli bar — both were amazing and so comforting for the cold DC weather. Highly recommend this place!“

“Great food! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Only thing is you have to go at an off peak hour because it’s so full with people on laptops, so it can be hard to get a table and gets loud. Not a reliable place to take a meeting. But if you go at a time that avoids the lunch rush it’s amazing.“

“The overall experience was amazing, the food was great, and the service was perfect. The only item that I would offer a recommendation on is the kids' menu. It offered only 2 items, leaving most kids without something simple like eggs. The menu offered bacon or French toast, but no eggs, which seemed really interesting. Overall, my food and drinks were great. We would most likely go again in the near future.“

“I love the food at EllaRay’s Cafe. I go there every week. I usually call my order in and pick it up in 15 or 20 minutes. I prefer the vegetable platter and an extra side of beans. The portions are enough for two meals for me. I love breakfast there also. Glad I discovered them.“

“Stopped for breakfast while on vacation in DC. Staff was friendly, restaurant was clean. We just ordered simple breakfast sandwiches, but they were prepared fast and tasted great. They do have an extensive menu and pricing for the area was very competitive. Wish I would have found it the first day and not on our last day.“

“Take my advice and try EVERYTHING on the menu. My highlights: the bulgogi and bibimbap, shrimp basket, chicken fingers, chipotle wrap, woodstock dream, anything off their breakfast menu, caesar salad from the food bar and don't forget they have happy hour during the week (2-3pm) for specialty coffees!! All the ingredients are fresh and delicious, great environment for big groups, outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the Potomac, and very friendly staff. It's always poppin' around noon FYI.“
“What is it about these Atrium Cafe line cooks where they just absolutely murder (in the best way possible) the bacon, egg, and cheese on toast? It never fails. The egg: perfectly folded. The cheese: melty AF. The bacon: 8 miles high of crisp. These are the heroes I need at 8am.“

“I got a mozzarella chicken sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in months! It was condensed, warm, and delicious, and kept me impressively fueled for 6-7 hours of walking and museum going! The price was also good, at around $10-$15 for the sandwich, which was well worth it. They also had a lot of drink options and dessert options. They looked really good, but I didn’t get a chance to try them.“
