“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“We visited it during the July 4th celebrations! There was no wait time, the place was well lit! We were looking for only plant based options so we found this place, ambiance was good. It’s not a massive place, it has cozy and comfortable vibes. The staff were very polite and generous.
We had one falafel bowl and make our own bowl! I loved the chimichurri sauce, it was amazing.
Beet roasted-lentils were great as well.
Overall, I loved the food. It was so filling! Everything was perfect in that mix!

They have clean washrooms as well and they were spotless!

“Washington rang me up and was so kind and you can tell he loves taking care of guests at Maman. The vanilla cloud cookie was so yummy along with Oprah’s fave - kitchen sink cookie. Such a treat if you’re looking for a mid-day lunch, coffee or a snack. They also have craft cocktails and a happy hour. Definitely check them out!“

“I will always seek out a Levain! Their gluten free, vegan chocolate chip with walnuts is incredible. The chocolate melts in your mouth, no matter how long these cookies have been at room temp. It’s small inside the store so just don’t plan on having room to sift down inside.“

“We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

We had a swirl margarita which was really good, and we ordered two dishes to share and the sizes were pretty good for two people. Their guaca with chips is also really tasty! “The food is good, but I’m gonna have to remove stars because of the customer service. 😕 When I first entered, I wasn’t greeted. The associate just stared at me, as if to say “I don’t have all day. Are you gonna order anything?” She had the most stony expression… It was only my second time here, so I was quite sure I had not had any negative encounters with anyone. I was trying to get suggestions and ask questions about certain things, but every time I asked a question about something, the server just dumped it in the bowl. He never answered the question. When I got to the cashier, I apologized, because I wondered if I had done something wrong. But he just referred to me as “diva,” and tried to assure me that nothing was wrong. I told him I didn’t appreciate being called a diva. I just don’t like being treated like I’m a problem when I haven’t done anything. I gave two stars for service, because my first experience was so amazing! I don’t know what happened.“

“Great cold brew! We saw this coffee shop in a few locations around town during our visit, and were excited to stop by and try it. The cold brew was delicious - I definitely recommend having one if you like iced coffees. The hot drip coffee was also great! The decor is cute, and there’s plenty of seating. My only constructive critique is that the team members working didn’t greet us when we walked in - they just looked at us…which was really awkward. When we engaged them by asking questions and ordering, they were nice, so that was a good thing. Coffee and ambiance were great, so I’d visit again next time I’m in DC. I recommend!“

“The line at chipotle nearby was so long at lunch I decided to give this a try and I’m glad I did. I asked the staff for their help in building a bowl since it was my first time and ended up with a delicious chicken bowl with half rice/half veggie base. Yum! Lots of great flavor and love the sauces on top too!“
