“We had an early dinner before attending a performance at the Ford’s Theater. We made reservations through Open Table and were immediately seated upon arrival. The service was great. Our server recommended several dishes that we loved. There were abundant vegan and vegetarian options. Chilorio de Res tacos were mouthwatering as were the Hongos en Milto ones. In fact, every dish we ordered was delicious. One dish (chilaquiles) never arrived from the kitchen but we were pressed for time so we opted to have it taken off our bill instead of waiting for them to prepare it separately. Dessert, Cafe de Olla, was phenomenal. Pics are only some of the items we tried. Great atmosphere for date night and a milestone birthday celebration. Highly recommend.“

“I love this place. But every single time I order via DoorDash they forget 1-2 items. I think it’s because of how their receipts print out… it’s hard to understand. I wish they’d fix this but honestly it doesn’t even bother me as much as it should because the stuff that DOES arrive is THAT GOOD!“

“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

“Cookies are pretty decent, but their operation is slow as heck… don’t even think about going on a Saturday or Sunday or around any holiday if you hate lines and waiting. I mean this should be a cookie factory line, what are we doing!! I guess Georgetown cupcakes and other places in Georgetown have the same problem but still... They should also make the lemon cookie a permanent cookie! Their best cookie in my opinion, but it is seasonal.“

“Always a pleasure to come to the Taberna! Extra interesting restaurant week menu this time around. I had the artichoke main -- unusual, different, good. Tasty Tempranillo crianza. Espresso was just right o finish off relaxed meal. Fun to sit in the more cozy back room on a cold day. Small quibble -- would have been nice to see a hot soup on the menu.“

Customer service is truly exceptional here. Servers check in at all the right times, ensure everything is to your liking, and make you feel valued as a guest without being intrusive. It’s rare to find hospitality executed this consistently.

“Wow! My tastebuds went into overload! I ordered a BLT sandwich recommendation from our server (who was great!) and it was the best I’ve ever had! So juicy and unique! “The service here was EXCELLENT!! Me and my boyfriend’s order was taken by Thomas I believe and he took FANTASTIC care of us! I have traveled up from Georgia and he was very considerate and asking about us and making us feel so welcome! “We love Washington DC so my wife and I wanted some pizza. We were staying at the Embassy suites in NW so I googled pizza that was close by. Pizzoli‘s pizzeria came up. It looked good so we took an Uber there and the pizza was excellent. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and my wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed it. Made from scratch good. We were a little bit surprised in that it was a smaller establishment as we thought we were going to a place that had lots of tables, etc. This place has one inside table and five or six countertops to eat at and then they have several tables outside but as noted, the food was fantastic. Would certainly recommended, and we will be back home future visits.“

“We visited Sequoia the weekend after New Year's Day for brunch. The food was very delicious, with all items being fresh and there being a large variety of items. Although it wasn't super busy, none of the food tasted as though it was sitting. Our wait staff was extremely attentive, even providing us with warm towels and lemon to sanitize our hands, which I have only seen done in other countries, so I appreciated that. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing; we were seated by the window, which was nice. I had a unique situation which required manager attention, and the staff at Sequoia treated me with care and kindness. I really enjoy going to Sequoia and I look forward to my next visit.“
