“This has been a go to spot in college park for years now. Their pad se ew is delicious and fresh. Their pho is also great, however overpriced. Never really had to wait long for a table, and pho comes out quick. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.“
“I have not only travelled to Thailand, but studied Thai cuisine and also attended cooking classes. This place is the REAL DEAL!!!! Not your run of the mill pad thai place. More northern cuisine if you are familiar with it, think Chang Mai. Everything is out of this world, great bar and drinks, friendly and warm staff that attends to your every need.“
“I chose this establishment for my first Thai food experience, I had drunken noodles, egg rolls and Crab Rangoon. Everything was delicious and I’ll be making a return trip for sure.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu and the waitress will also ask if you would like it vegetarian.“
“I was contemplating between 4 and 5 stars here. I wish yelp had 'half stars.' Take out: I've ordered take out from here twice and have been very pleased with my experience both times. I had the pad see ew and spicy eggplant. Both were very good. Dine in: I came in for lunch yesterday and had a good experience. I ordered a Thai tea and pad Thai noodles. The Thai tea was delicious and the pad Thai was also very good. The pad Thai did taste slightly burnt but not so much so that i didn't enjoy the dish. Pad Thai 4/5 Thai tea: 5/5 Ambiance: clean. Service: good. It wasn't busy so there's one FOH person. He handled front desk, serving and to go orders just fine. He checked on me throughout my time there. Menu: they do NOT have a lunch menu. I read from previous yelpers that they ordered off the lunch menu, but unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu anymore. Other: i came in to eat and work, but right now they do not have WiFi. I was able to use my hotspot just fine. I will be back to try other menu items as i have enjoyed everything I've eaten so far.“
“I am visiting DC and will back to SURA for sure. Fun, great food and service. Went for happy hour, which was a plus. Can't say enough how good the food was. See you next year on our yearly visit to DC. The price per person did include “
“Thai food is slowly but surely becoming my favorite cuisine and I'm on a mission to try it wherever I travel! This wonderfully colorful atmosphere gives you a warm hug as you gorge down Thai Tea and some fluffy D.U.I (drunken) noodles! Warning: they give you HUGE portions!! I ate it all anyways.. :-))“
“UPDATE: We've had a few let downs with the take out and don't order nearly as frequently anymore. Nothing terrible, but just not as good as it used to be.Original: A staple of my take-out habit. Consistently delicious. Great place for a date.“
“Akeno is my new favorite sushi spot! Not only is the food amazing, but the people that own and run it are the kindest, most appreciative people I have ever met! We get great service, the ambiance is perfect and we have fun with the staff. If the truffle salmon is on the specials menu, do yourself a favor and ORDER IT! You can thank me later.“
“The chicken Khao Soi was delicious and easily the star of their menu. Staff were super understanding of my family being in a rush and made sure to get us everything we needed in a very timely manner. The restaurant itself is cute and a very cozy spot for lunch in dupont.“
“Just tried this new Thai restaurant and omg it was DELISH! We broke from our usual pattern of Thai dishes (pad thai and pad see ew) and tried the 100 Islands Seafood and full Branzino. Absolutely yummy and savory. We also had the meatballs and corn fritters as apps and the fried ice cream. We are stuffed and everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Definitely recommend this place! They have a big menu that offers the usual fare plus dishes familiar to the Thai town of Donsak (where the owner is from). Also such a cute little spot with great drinks! Five stars for sure!“
“I had the fried chicken fried rice and my friend had the drunken noodles. Both were generous portions and a good value. The food came out quickly and services were excellent the entire time, that glass of water was never left empty for long! I highly recommend this place!“
“What a place. Humble and kind owner greets you and walks you to your table. One of 8 in this small, unassuming and fantastic establishment. Traditional Thai menu, we had 4 apps and 3 main dishes. Everything was outstanding. Washed down with $5 Sapporo. Wow. Highly recommend you give it a try.“
“Served our multi-generational family of 6 delicious food at super speed on a Friday night with the most attentive & kind staff. Our party sampled the menu, having both sushi & Thai food. The vegetarian maki rolls were out of this world. The pad Thai delighted our pickiest family member. Everything was totally delicious. Highly recommend, perfect place to bring the kids & grandparents.“
“We love this spot for Sunday lunch after church. Tasty food, good portions, and great service.Parking: Depending on time of day & day of the week, but usually street parking on the surrounding streetsKid-friendliness: Easy for kids but maybe older than four or five years old.“
“Isshin has one of the BEST service in Adams Morgan. May is the woman who always helps me. I think she’s the manager. She keeps that place running swiftly and smoothly. During the pandemic, Isshin made every effort to keep their place sanitized and customers safe by using PPE and placing hand sanitizers all around. The staff works super fast to get meals ready for you. They always go above and beyond to offer excellent service. I had to order spicy shrimp rice and I was going to arrive close to closing time, May kept Isshin open until I arrived (5 mins late) to pick up my food. I only live 3 blocks away but once I was not able to pick up my food from Isshin. May immediately said, “if you live close, I’ll deliver for you.” And she did just that and as usual with a very pleasant demeanor and genuine smile. May and her team at Isshin make this restaurant one of the best in Adams Morgan. Thank you May and Isshin!!!“
“I love Beau Thai — it’s my Mt. Pleasant neighborhood go-to for takeout. The food is really good (especially the pumpkin red curry when it’s in season) and the people who work there are so nice! I accidentally ordered pickup from the wrong location today and they kindly remade the order for me here.“
“Regent is the best Thai food in DC. It’s our neighborhood spot but if it wasn’t we’d travel for it. When friends come from out of town it’s where we take them.I keep coming back so I’ll keep updating this review but for 2 years it’s been a go to and it’s been absolutely delicious every time. Regent Thai Cuisine, I love!“
“I had a light dinner...green salad and curry puffs. The curry puffs melt in your mouth and the salad is almost too beautiful to eat! Excellent service...and speedy since I was on a dinner break from work. I'll definitely dine in again.“
“I love this place! It's intimate, not huge and impersonal: so the staff really look out for their customers, who are very friendly. The Pad Thai is the best in town. I especially love their curries! Most of all, the dishes are authentic. I know: I've been to most of the Thai restaurants in the area. I even introduced my girlfriend to Thai food in this restaurant, and she loved it! The ambiance is delightful, very relaxing. The Convention Center is just a block away, so definitely check this place out if you've had a busy day there! I'm a Lyft driver and I tell all my tourist passengers to try this place out. Once I picked up the same passenger and they told me themselves that it was one of the best Thai restaurants they've been to.“
“Visited for dinner alone and sat at the bar. Cocktails were great, food was decent, but the service could have been a bit more welcoming.Servers were very nice, but as I finished the cocktail and appetizer I had ordered to start, the waitstaff started asking if I wanted the bill before I had the chance to review the menu for my entree order.Instead of feeling taken care of, it felt a bit like I was being rushed through my meal and to pay the bill so they could turn my spot over.“
“So tasty, what a gem!! I ordered the CURRY LAKSA NOODLE Soup, pictured. It can be all plant based - I asked for mushrooms, spinach and broccoli to be added/substituted for the chicken, and with no hesitation they accommodated me! I'm so pleased with this Union Station fast casual option, located on the second level. If you take the stairs opposite the Amtrak ticket counter, you'll find it with big open air seating. This dish also includes tofu, vegetables, rice sticks & egg noodle combination in a coconut curry broth, with bean sprouts, fresh! green beans, and corn. Amazing, and spicy warm. They have non spicy foods, too. I'll upload the current menu.“
“I ordered door dash from here because I was craving Thai food but I wanted to try a new spot ! They did not disappoint. I got the drunken noodles and it was sooooo good and flavorful. And for dessert I tried the taro roti. I fell in loveeee so crispy and the center taste amazing and not too sweet !! Definitely can’t wait to order again !!“
“Our go-to for the best Thai food in the area!! Everything is fresh, flavorful and delicious. The decor is modern and comfortable. We particularly like sitting in the booths. We generally have a good service there, but the last time we went with a party of 5. The waitress added an automatic 20% gratuity and then was incredibly slow and curt. We literally sat for 20 minutes before she even greeted us. Then we sat for another 15 minutes before she took our drink order. After waiting another 15 minutes we had to hunt her down to take our food order and then later for the check. It was the slowest meal I’ve ever had anywhere. Thankfully, the food was still delicious and we weren’t in a hurry, so I didn’t feel the need to complain. :)Parking: We parked in the garage right next to the restaurant for $6 flat. If you are facing the front door of resto, garage is immediately to the right. The street is one way, so have to turn onto it before the restaurant.“
“I tried the tofu pad see ew and it was amazing! Great flavor! The waitstaff was very kind and attentive!Dietary restrictions: They had very clear outlines of vegetarian options, and I was able to ask for them to not include eggs to make the dish vegan friendly. They also offer vegetable and tofu as options for their dishes.“
“New to the area, and was eager to find a local Thai spot. Had the pad se ew and crab fried rice delivered, and boy was it delicious. Not too fishy on the crab, which I certainly appreciated. Will easily be ordering from this place again. Thank you!“
“It's close to home, so this is the place I go when I want Thai food! It doesn't feel like the portions are small, but the staff is friendly and since I don't like vegetables, I always ask for them to be omitted, and they listen to my requests :) I always order Pad Kra Pao, but the regular flavor isn't that spicy, so if you like spicy food, order spicier. suggestion!“
“This is our local neighborhood Thai restaurant. It's a small restaurant with consistently delicious food! We come her once every few months, usually for lunch. We started with the spring rolls and yum beau yang (sliced steak salad). Both were great! Spring rolls were nice and crispy. The dressing on the steak salad is so good, tangy with a little spice) that I wish they would sell it in bottles! We shared the pad talay and pad sa ew with chicken. The pad sa ew and pad Thai are my go to there, and are both excellent!“
“we visited this place on 3/15/24 it was a short walk from out hotel. small quiet clean place. the server/hostess lady was very nice. she answered all our questions about ingredients in a couple dishes and made recommendations. service was very fast only a few mins between when 1 course was done until the next one arrived. the food was so flavorful and rich every bite was an explosion of flavor. probably one of the best asian noodle dishes ive ever had. i recommend the drunken noodles the spice level was perfect.Vegetarian options: all the dishes have a vegetarian or meat options very accommodating.“
“Delicious food (tender squid for example), ok speed (when in a hurry for theatre!), but service with a grumpy face in a super noisy environment. They have a huge patio (noise level outside is better; able to chat). Soft shell crab is great (sauce comes on the side so the crispy crab doesn't become soggy).Ginger lover seafood is also wonderful. The whole place was full at its seams on a Thursday night. Lots of guests in suits, probably the people working in nearby government offices. Tables and chairs aren't the best (may need attention) but the whole ambiance is casual so I guess in the end, thanks to relatively fast service, all is well that ends well.“
“I ordered takeout on a Friday night the customer service was great. The interior had a lot of the dining room area blocked off with tables similar to something you would see during covid restrictions so there's limited seating. But the place was fairly busy. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and promptly given my food that I ordered. The problem that I had was that the Thai chicken fried rice should really be called Thai onion and chicken fried rice. I had the biggest slices of onion in my Thai chicken fried rice! I have never had that much onion! Thick long pieces of onion throughout my dish. Some of my carrots were crunchy. I picked out most of the onions and ate the dish. That was the only con. One of the pros is that I got three spring rolls! I was really happy with that as I've never received three spring rolls and really appreciate that because I love them. If I try this place again I think I might try one of the curry dishes and of course order the spring rolls again. Over all 4 stars.“
“I first started dining at Sala Thai restaurant back in 2018 at the Minnesota Ave location, where I instantly fell in love with their chef fried rice and crispy calamari, among other menu items. When I moved to NE, I made the Rhode Island Row location my new go-to spot and have been a regular visitor ever since, indulging in their delicious Thai iced tea and sushi rolls almost daily. My absolute favorite dish is the Mei Fun (without pork or seafood), and I also enjoy their tofu with spicy basil fried rice, curry puffs, spring rolls, and an assortment of specialty rolls. Lately, I've noticed a significant improvement in their interior, menu offerings, and the quality of service, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend paying them a visit for a delightful culinary experience.“
“I'm loyal to this place. The only place in SE DC that makes delicious real Thai food. They cater to my food intolerance and allergies.Dietary restrictions: Simply let them know about any food allergies and intolerance so they may accommodate you or make recommendations.“
“Well, I ordered green curry, tom yum vegetable soup, and garden spring rolls. I put a special note asking for the green curry to made *extra* spicy and that I loved spicy and oh boy did they deliver. Weild caution making such requests haha but I've loved it. I got it with tofu, and for the record, love too how they made the tofu, it's super tasty,As for the veggie rolls, I found the rice paper wrapper thicker than what I'm used to, a bit gummy, and the peanut sauce--while having more texture than most others--def erring on the, "too sweet," end for me,The soup tasted like it was made with some sort of oyster or fish sauce, not saying that happened (and I'm not vegetarian despite how I'm presenting) and I didn't particularly like that myself, but seriously still good. That was less spicy than I was expecting. Regardless, all in all...Really good!!! I'd recommend this joint.Vegetarian options: I'm not vegetarian but like a lot of vegetarian food. Easy to order from this place for that.“
“My wife, our baby boy, and I went there for my 40th birthday dinner last night. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The service was FANTASTIC. The dishes and drinks were DELICOUS! We had the seafood salad, which was fresh and had generous portions of squid, shrimp, and scallops. Also, we had the chili basil fried rice with seafood, which had bright, fresh ingredients. We also had the tum yum soup, duck red curry, thai iced tea, and fresh lemonade. The red curry was delicous, even if a little watery and the duck portions were small. We ordered our entrees thai spicy, and they did not disappoint! Both were quite spicy indeed!“
“Loved the Vegetarian/Tofu panang curry and the cabbage/carrot salad I had for dinner at this place. Their home made chilli flakes was simply out of the world. They were really accommodative when I went to their restaurant at closing time, and still offered great service, allowed me to dine in and waited till I completed my dinner. Would definitely visit this restaurant when I am back in Arlington in the future.“
“Fantastic food. Like, subscribe, and smash that delivery button. So delicious. Order the drunken noods. You won't regret it. Now, this...**_Soliloquy of the Drunken Thai Noodles_***(The stage is dimly lit. A single spotlight illuminates a steaming bowl of noodles center stage.)***Noodle**: *(in a slurred, noodle-like voice)*Oh, woe is me! A tangled mess of rice and spice, swimming in the murky broth of my own existence. I, the humble Thai noodle, once firm and resolute, now sway like a drunken sailor on choppy seas.**Broth**: *(gurgling)*Noodle, why dost thou lament? Is it the fiery chili that burns thy delicate strands? Or perhaps the fragrant lemongrass that whispers secrets of distant lands?**Noodle**: *(swirling in the broth)*Nay, 'tis not the spices that trouble my starched soul. It is the fate that binds me to this ceramic vessel—a vessel that cradles the sorrows of countless hungry souls. I am but a fleeting pleasure, a fleeting slurp, lost in the labyrinth of taste buds.**Bean Sprouts**: *(poking their heads above the surface)*Hark! The noodle speaks truth. We, too, are but ephemeral beings, born from the soil, sprouting forth to dance upon this savory stage. Our crunch, our freshness—it matters not. We, too, shall drown in the broth of oblivion.**Basil Leaves**: *(rustling)*Yet, dear noodle, dost thou not see? Our destiny lies not in the depths of this bowl, but in the hearts of those who consume us. For with each chopstick wielded, with each slurp, we become memories—fragments of flavor etched into their souls.**Noodle**: *(twirling)*Ah, sweet basil, your wisdom transcends the steam rising from this cauldron. But tell me, when the last chopstick descends, when the final drop of broth is drained, what then? Shall we be forgotten, lost in the haze of drunken revelry?**Broth**: *(bubbling)*Fear not, my noodle friend. For even as the bowl empties, our essence lingers—a hint of lemongrass on parted lips, a memory of warmth on a cold winter's night. We are sustenance and sentiment, nourishing both body and soul.**Noodle**: *(swaying)*Then let us embrace our fate, fellow ingredients! Let us revel in the slurps, the stumbles, the laughter that accompanies our descent. For we are more than mere sustenance; we are poetry in a porcelain bowl, a symphony of flavors that echoes through time.*(The spotlight fades, leaving only the aroma of Thai spices lingering in the air.)*“
“I low key love this place!! I frequent a location closer to my home and love it. I was so happy to see this business at the food court within Wheaton Mall. So good!! I bought the Pick 2 w Spicy Chicken and Bangkok Shimp w SingaporeNoodles. It was so tasty, fresh and fulfilling. Hubby scooped the Pick 2 w Spicy Chicken and Grilled Chicken w Rice. We enjoyed the speedy and pleasant service received as well as the super reasonable price and fresh quality food. I am definitely looking forward to visiting again in the near future.“
“This is one of my new favorite Thai places in Silver Spring. I have a sensitive gut and onion and garlic can be a problem for me. So it was great to see that this restaurant has options to make many of their dishes in the jae style (which avoids these vegetables). Not to mention that their Panang curry was out of this world! So glad to find a place that I can eat at without worry that is also delicious. I want to go back a few more times before I commit to giving this place five stars, but I might be able to get there!“
“I was looking for a Thai restaurant in Dc.Staff was great, wonderful service Our food arrived very quickly. We ordered Bangkok seafood Curry and Pad see ewService was very quick and attentive even when it got busierWould recommend if u looking for good Thai food in the area Dc.Everything is very good“
“Love love love this place. The food always delivers. Quality Thai food, no matter what you order but I tend to stick to the Panang curry with Tofu. Sides are always great and I like to end with a mango sticky rice. The staff are always so nice too. Highly recommend.“
“I grew up with a Thai aunt but my husband is NOT familiar with the food so he basically let me run the show. I've been craving Larb for SO LONG and this place had it! We also got Tom Kha soup and street noodles along with some Thai beers which reminded me of lighter pub beers in England which was a nice blast from the past“
“Very solid Chinese takeout. The customer service was great and delivery was quick. I thought the food was good and the price reasonable for a causal, quick, Chinese meal when you don’t feel like leaving the house. It’s my go to for that scenario.“
“This is a neighborhood restthat also serves phenomenal Thai cuisine. No polish, no flash but a staff that treats you like a neighbor and a chef that put the Ka-Pow in the chicken Ka- Pow. I had an air bnb close by and ate here 3 times in 2 weeks. Each time something different and all fantastic. Make sure you get there before 7 for some happy hour deals.“
“As many times I've passed by this place, I finally decided to say "Why not". The food presentation wasn't bad, the taste was great, the restaurant was very clean with great customer service from the lovely staff. My only issue is that for this small portion, I paid around $22 for seafood fried rice. It felt like a free trial. I have another place that has a similar dish (Shrimp, Crab Salmon Fried Rice) for $25, and let me tell you, it'll last three days max. That's how big of a portion they serve you at that price. It'll also serve two people (depending on how greedy the second person gets. It's me, I'm greedy). I would only go back if they increased the portion, not the price. Overall, it's not bad.“
“My friend and I enjoyed the chicken Satay and fried calamari Appetizers. It was a good place for a very late lunch that day. The beverages were good. We plan to go back for dinner soon.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is ADA compliant since there is an elevator nearby.“
“Excellent Thai food! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too. The staff was very friendly and helped us out with what could be the good choices for vegan options. We ordered the Thai green curry and pineapple rice.Don’t miss the Thai green curry it’s amazing however you can skip the pineapple rice because it didn’t live upto the expectations.Street Parking is difficult to find but lot of paid garages nearby.“
“Great food .. we tried the restaurant for the first time .. got a take out. ..loved the food ,the green curry was amazing loved the flavors( would have preferred it to be little thick) the Massaman curry was on point .. .. one of the best Thai food I have tried in the area ( there are a few around ) loved the plentiful vegetarian option on the menu“
“This is probably the best Thai place in Maryland. Everytime I'm near laurel even if I am not hungry I purchase a meal! It is always clean. It is always good. I haven't tried anything here that isn't good. Try the masamaam curry and the crispy fish. OMG!“
“The delivery fee is a bit steep but the prices, quality, and freshness make up for it in spades! This is my new favorite sushi spot! The portion of fish is very generous, the rolls are fresh, the crab Rangoon is crispy (even delivered) and creamy, the shrimp spring rolls were well seasoned and had large shrimp inside, love it!“
“3.5 stars (3 for food + 0.5 for app service options) Ordered via ubereats so can't give a star for service as I didn't interact with the restaurant but I GREATLY appreciate that they allow you to make adjustments (spice level, notes for allergies, etc) in the app. More and more I see restaurants refusing to allow substitutions, adjustments, or notes on the item requested and it grinds my gears so kudos to them for customer order satisfaction. The package was also top tier. No spill cups for sauces and sealed drinks. I can dig it. Ok the food. Right now there's a BOGO deal for spring rolls so I took advantage. That was a no for me. They tasted like the frozen kind in the grocery store. Inside was unseasoned mushy vegetables. I'll skip that next time. Also ordered the shrimp bikini appetizer. Perfect crunch and nice size shrimp with a balanced sauce. $14 for five seems steep for the area but the little one really wanted shrimp and it satisfied. Had panang chicken for an entree and selected mild heat. Thankfully, the spice level delivered as expected. Sauce had a nice flavor balance (not too sweet nor too spicy) but I didn't get the ground peanut undertones that usually hit. Healthy slices of chicken cooked well (not overdone). I would order it again if Im in the area and hankering for Thai food. Is it top tier...no. Ok in a pinch? yep.“
