“Food is absolutely delicious! First time there I had the most meaty and flavorful crabs in a longtime. Fish sandwich was fresh and tasty, pasta was a little brothy and could use some thickness. My second visit there I decided to order a Cajun butter boil with crab leg cluster, Clams and sausage…OMG the best bag I’ve had thus far. The crab leg cluster was huge and the clams were not little necks but regular sized ocean clams! I was shocked by the irresistible presentation of my bag that I returned a few days later to grab another one. This place is so underrated and I will never partake in the mediocrity of neighboring seafood spots again!“

“Just in the area visiting family. Fish Friday is a GOOD Friday. I searched the web for a place near by and Fat Boys Crabhouse was in the vicinity. The order of fried filet whiting with one side of hush puppies was excellent. I added an order of coleslaw and key lime pie fir dessert. The fish was hot, crunchy, and well seasoned, prepared in fresh oil. The hush puppies were great! Not doughy or overcooked. I ordered, waited a minimum of 10-15 minutes. It was perfect. I headed home to enjoy my lunch.There was enough for my dinner as well. You are given 3 large pieces of fish with 10 hush puppies, both for $14.99 plus tax. The side of slaw is an ample portion for 2.99. The key lime pie was decadent! The meal was very reasonably priced. While waiting for my order, I noticed the many specials. Love to try quite a few of them! Particularly the fish tacos (Cod)!!When in the area, I certainly will frequent Fat Boys Crabhouse again and again!“

Chicken dishes at Outback, their sister restaurant, are $15 and here chicken dishes are now outrageous at $22-25 dollars for smaller portions. Spent more for soup and salad at dinner for 5 small shrimp than I would have paid for an excellent filet at Texas Roadhouse with a ton of leftovers. Used to be a favorite place of mine, but with gluten allergies and huge price increases these past 2 years find it difficult to frequent. Above average food for a chain at fine dining prices. “We came in around 8, so I expected to get rushed service. Boy was I wrong, Jake was amazing! He gave great recommendations (pecan encrusted salmon phenomenal btw) and he knew his menu up and down. As my 83yr old mom navigates cancer treatment and little appetite, her bright spot is the funnel fries and a cup of soup. “This is about a take out order so I understand I didn't get the full Memo's experience. Service was quick and polite. The food was ready when I got there. Once at home the food just didn't have much flavor. My fish still had bones in it. Appetizer was disappointing. I probably won't go back again.“

One of the things, I talked with her about was the newly instituted 'Better Bag Bill' in Prince George's County ? (since January 1, 2024.) The new law has enacted that applicable restaurants/businesses are allowed charge a minimum of 10 cents/ paper bag or reusable bag bought by a customer at checkout. I am for the bill ✅, but one of their regular customers (an old school, younger Black lady) was not, so she griped about it whilst she go her to-go order ??.Overall, however, I do have two cons: 1) I wish the crab cake was FRESH and not from frozen ??. I'm all about quality and not convenience - and 2) that coleslaw side was too SMALL as a side. It should equal the size of the french fries I had in my order ??‍♀️. “Great. As are all Bonefish Grill locations. Came here for lunch with a buddy. Was nice and quiet. Had a nice chance for a good long catch-up and meal.The waitstaff was great. Very attentive. “Went to Mike’s crab house from a recommendation I saw on Reddit of great seafood in Maryland.We got there at about 9:15pm and they happily welcomed us in. We ordered crabs and they said their cut off for crabs was 9:00 pm and they still let us put our order in. I can't begin to name the many items we have tried from regular everyday food, to Special food (specific days for each meal) such as Stew peas, Red beef soup, Seafood and more. The delicious menu selection makes us salvate every time! My fave is the Fry Chicken with Curry Goat gravy on the rice and peas ? my daughter is over the moon for the Stew Peas lol. The true and original selection of drinks they offer are to die for! Not to mention, when that Pineapple ginger hits your throat, it's almost like an assurance of a quick fix to any inflammatory response, common cold has to go away ?. Just recently my family tried the rum cake and they still can't get over how tasty and moist it is! To top it off, the staff is extremely nice and pleasant, the ambience and atmosphere is great and always clean ? and the hours are very convenient. “Visited with some family and honestly I have nothing bad to say. Came by on a weekend and it was not even crowded which is how I like. I love how each section has its own order station. The raw/seafood section is where you can get things like oysters, steamed shrimp, scallops, fish etc. The crabs and hot food is ordered at another counter around the corner in carryout section. I had the crab fluff and cucumber salad. Both were delicious. I prefer cocktail sauce with my crabcakes and things like fluff. I tried it on there and it was love at first bite. Crab fluff is like a crab cake fried in pancake batter. Very good. Tried the steamed fish, fried scallops, steamed shrimp and had a few raw oysters which were big and fresh, served with horseradish and cocktail sauce. We also had a pitcher of beer which I believe was abt 11.95. You can't beat the prices! There were tvs on and music playing but not too loud, just right. Bathroom was clean and so was seating area. We often saw workers come over and spray tables in between those dining and leaving. There are plenty of tables and even some outside seating which I'm sure will be perfect for a summer night of crabs. I'll be back for sure.“

“My wife eat out a lot and I have been to the crab shack about five or six times now. And pretty much every time we’ve gone the food has been pretty good. Sometimes it’s a hit and miss with certain things and sometimes some things are spot on all the time. This review is based on our last two visits. Crabs, of course are their number one thing… But this is based on other things we’ve gotten on our past two visits.On our first visit We ordered fish and oysters, and shrimp tacos. They were all very good except for the fish. A little overdone and you couldn’t even flake it with a fork and It was pretty tough. My wife got steamed oysters while I had gotten raw. The steamed were OK, not much flavor, and they were shrunk down a bit compared to my raw oysters. So we ordered another batch of raw oysters since she liked mine better than hers lol! Tacos spot on with banging flavor, I could eat them all day!On her second visit, we were a little disappointed. The oysters were great they were raw and as they should be fresh with no smell and pretty much melt in your mouth. However, besides that came with it were supposed to be corn and french fries. All you can eat. They didn’t have corn, and they shouldn’t have it on the menu because that’s what I was expecting to get until they told us it wasn’t in season. The other problem was that night only one person was running around doing everything. We didn’t get an all you can eat anything. The worst of it was the french fries. I’m a burger and fries guy and I love a good french fries. They need to be crispy, light, airy, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. These were heavy, oily, very greasy as if they were just soap and oil. I think that the fryer was not hot enough. I’ve made french fries at home and even when my french fries didn’t turn out as expected, they were still better than these. We did order a second batch just in case it’s better than the first. It wasn’t maybe a little less oily, but still felt like it was soaked in oil. Sad because I really was hoping these spies were gonna be good. Maybe next time! One thing I’ve learned about restaurants and eating out is that sometimes depending on who’s cooking or depending on how your food turns out. One night might be a bad night. Another night might be a good night, but you definitely don’t want reviews that are spotty you want them to consistent the fries should be cooked perfectly all the time then there would be no complaints. Haven’t said that, the next time I have some fries, I will definitely change my review as long as they are spot on and cooked perfectly.So my final words are, a great joint most of the time. They’ll go out in beyond for making you something that might not be on the menu. And they do turn out better than decent free most of the time.
