Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. “I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Don't let the exterior of the building fool you. Closed on Sundays. Visited on a Monday at 3pm and the door was locked, but opened very fast (they were on lunch break!). Let me tell you, the couple that own and operate this restaurant are the kindest, most amazing people. The husband took out order and served us while his wife prepared the sushi. Oh, and the SUSHI!!! Expectations exceeded, by far! Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Box, A roll of Spicy Salmon Sushi and a roll of Shrimp Tempura Sushi (shared by 2 people). “The pictures are not up to to date and they have much less options now. There's no more poke bowls, dim sum, or sushi. Just rice/noodle bowls, and pho.

I got a fried rice bowl with teriyaki chicken, and it was very good. You get to pick that toppings, just like Chipotle. It's a weird choice, but I added potatoes to it, and they were SO good. Great favor, soft and with crispy skin.

The serving sizes are big and I couldn't finish. I was just a bit disappointed they didn't have poke bowls any more.“

It is $15-20 a specialty roll, but they have really good portion sizes. Jai got our food out fast, was consistently swinging by to check in, and was prompt with the check. “This is only my third time coming here but each time gets better😭 I’ve lived here my whole life and only like salmon with cooked meat or cucumber rolls so I started making my own but now I get my maki combo with crunch and eel sauce and mind my business. Next time I’m getting roe added. This place is definitely a gem. The miso soup of good too. I tried the seaweed salad but it was too fishy for me (that may be a good thing to some). My mother loves this place too🥰“

“Their Tiger Roll is by far the best shrimp tempura roll I’ve ever had. So good I ate it twice in one day and I don’t live right around the corner either. Plus their prices are awesome, especially when calling in to pickup rather than using a delivery service. “Sushi Hachi is the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to; it was so good that my boyfriend and I went back two nights in a row. Their cocktails are great, and my personal favourite was the 8th street specialty sushi. The atmosphere and mood is calm and pleasant, and the staff and service is top notch. I have to mention our waitress too from the second time, Soko. She remembered us from the previous night, she even remembered which drink she had made me! And she took the time to make some recommendations for us, and brought us some miso on the house and was just the most pleasant and friendly waitress I have had in a while. Thank you!!! We will definitely be back again for as long as we are in/near DC.“

“The food was so amazing which is why it pains me to bring it down two stars. The service was nonexistent. The servers, all very young very very inattentive. Our server, a young woman never once checked on us or asked us if we wanted water. The person who served us our drinks eventually was different from her who took our order and delivered it, and the person who closed our check was different as well. A total of three different people. Of course, still tipped above the minimum as they’re young but the staff could use some training in earning that. In addition, it’s a bit expensive but very delicious and hope the tips go to those cooks!“

“I watched a co-worker having what I referred to as "a food fantasy". They recommended this particular location for its service and food. My waze directed me to the location which is adjacent to the JCPENNEY parking lot in a strip with 2 other businesses.I arrived midday and was welcomed by a pleasant woman near the door. Within 5-10 minutes my meal was prepared which was a combo of teriyaki chicken and shrimp with veggies, noodles, green onions, sesame seeds and extra sauce.The staff was very pleasant and appeared to work well together as a team. The portions were generous and I would definitely eat there again. After I got home I too had "a food fantasy". My vegetables were perfectly cooked, not hard or overcooked. The meats were tender, fresh and flavorable.I have since eaten at two other locations and have come back to this one for a new combo. This time I added steak and the next time I will add salmon which came highly recommended by many people.I would definitely recommend this location, the service and the food options.

The staff are really nice, I never have problems with them, they are very accommodating, and the food is always great. “I’ve been coming to super Japan for the past 5 years. Safe to say they never disappoint. The food is fantastic, flavorful and delicious! I tried the Korean version of their plate and I can’t get enough. Obviously the teriyaki chicken is the most popular but if you like spicy I suggest you try the spicy Korean chicken version. It has a kick to it and you taste the peppers. Thats what I usually get. Today I ordered the spicy Korean and as you can see in the picture the portions are great! the best in the area the quality of the food is A1.“
