“Showed up just before nine on our way through town. The place is quiet and unassuming, the facade is definitely worn, but the food is exceptional. It came out fast, piping hot and was delicious without exception. If you're looking to eat it in the car like we did, remember to ask for utensils. My only complaint is that we're three hours from home and can't make it a regular haunt.“

“We've been buying these dumplings from Costco for the past year and love them. We were so excited to find a storefront. The food was so good! We ordered the pork bao bun and the pork and chive dumplings. Prices were reasonable and the portions are perfect for sampling.“

“If you love noodles, you’ll probably want to check this place out. I really liked the atmosphere, and the service was great. That said, I wish they offered more than just noodle dishes. I ordered the beef noodle soup and was disappointed to find only two pieces of broccoli—was hoping for a few more veggies.
The place was packed during our visit, so clearly a lot of people enjoy the food. Personally, it wasn’t for me.“

“Finally found my Chinese spot! From VA to MD, this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had. Everything was fresh and hot! Prep time was quick, they were friendly even though they were busy with a slew of call in orders and pickups.
Tried the general tso, shrimp fried rice, fries, spring rolls and wings plus the blue lemonade. Everything was delicious and the price point is great as well!
I can’t wait to get back and try more of their menu.“

“This location has good customer service and the food is good. The egg foo young was no longer a favorite because it was not good. You can tell when a good cook is no longer preparing the food in that kitchen in the restaurant. Now it is much better. Just visited 3 days ago.“

“General tso's chicken was actually crispy. For once, I ate the entire chicken with broccoli dinner combo. Perhaps the best chinese-american restaurant for the area, but that standard varies with your taste, sauce preference, spiciness, etc ??♀️“

“Panda Cafe is the only Chinese restaurant I go to—and for good reason! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious😋. The staff are incredibly kind and polite, and the service is impressively fast. The restaurant is clean, and they package everything so well for takeout. I genuinely love this place. Thank you for the amazing service and consistently great food! I used to live 3 min away from here, now I live about 25min away but I still always come here💙!“

“The food was very good I was quite surprised how good it was. I ordered the buffalo wings, fried rice, steak & cheese & a triple mix drink. The buffalo sauce was on point & the triple mix was so bomb. My favorite new carryout.“

“If you’re looking for the best takeout in the DMV, this spot is it! Their mumbo sauce is hands down some of the best in the area—perfectly sweet, tangy, and packed with flavor. The fried chicken is crispy, well-seasoned, and pairs perfectly with the sauce.
I also tried the General Tso’s chicken, and it did not disappoint. Unlike some places where the chicken is overcooked and chewy, theirs was tender, juicy, and coated in just the right amount of sauce. Every bite had the perfect balance of crunch and flavor.
Whether you’re craving classic carryout flavors or just want to experience top-tier mumbo sauce, this place delivers. Fast service, great portions, and food that hits every time—definitely a go-to takeout spot in the DMV!“

“I’ve been coming to this establishment since I was 12 years old , I am 23 now. I’ve tried every food on their menu and it is honestly really really good. The customer service is 10/10 they really take care of me and my family for very long. They also make all the food fresh and reasonably on time. My favorite to go meal is the orange chicken white rice and 4 wings fried rice with mumbo sauce.“

“I ordered on UberEats yesterday after seeing a TikTok review on them. 10/10 would recommend. I ordered 4wings with mumbo sauce, shrimp egg roll, and shrimp and broccoli. Everything was bomb. Best mumbo sauce in the city hands down. I could tell by the color it was going to be fire! Wings were seasoned and good. Shrimp and broccoli was torch. Shrimp egg roll actually had a nice amount of shrimp. Everything was so goood. Only carry out I’m going to from now on.“

“Ordered through DoorDash and overall had a great experience. The chicken wings were seasoned very well—crispy on the outside and flavorful all the way through. The shrimp egg foo young had plenty of flavor and a rich, savory gravy. The tofu and mixed vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, and the fried rice tied everything together nicely.
My only real disappointment was the french fries—they arrived cold and stale, which stood out since everything else was hot and fresh. Still, the food quality was solid and I’d definitely order again.“

“We've been eating here for over 20 years and it has always been good. It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. The people there this week had a very limited range of knowledge about drinks (gin on the rocks got a blank look), but once you explained they happily made a very acceptable drink.“

“This place has definitely improved. It use to smell really bad but that has changed. The menu changed and for the better. The popcorn chicken is really good, as well as the orange and fish! The friend rice isn’t great. The mango chicken has way too much sauce. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this place.“
“We’ve had a hard time finding a go to Chinese restaurant in the area. We’ve ordered from here a few times, most recently moo goo gai pan and triple delight. Food was cooked to perfection (meat was tender, veggies were both soft & crispy), but lacks some of the typical Chinese veggies like water chestnuts and baby corn. Good balance of vegetables and meat, large portions.“

“The food is very enjoyable. Better than the others within a few blocks of this location. The egg rolls are huge but they do a good job with the pork so it's tasty. They use the same pork in the fried rice. I enjoyed the star-shaped crab Rangoon these are better than most carryout restaurants. The Gen Tso Chicken was sweet and crispy. Overall, I had a good experience and I'll order from them again next time I happen to want Chinese food while in this area.“

“I’ve patronized this place for many years and the food had been consistently delicious. For the last few months the food hadnt been that great but last night I stopped in and my order was amazing! Just like old times. Not sure what happened those last couple of times but I’ll be back again for takeout.“

“It's your typical urban Chinese takeout but I really like their dumplings and get them whenever I'm in the area. Gave it 5 stars because once they knew I spoke Mandarin, we really connected and reminisced about China ? two stars because of the bullet proof window and bars you have to order through and no place to sit and enjoy the food. But given the neighborhood, I guess I understand the security precautions.“

“Ordered this on Uber eats and was so pleasantly surprised on how wonderful it was. Lady called and confirmed what I ordered and made sure it was as I wanted. It was some of the best Chinese I've ever had. When I come back in the area I will order from them again“

“The soup is amazing!! The soup does have a hint of lemon flavor, with orzo rice, chunks of chicken, carrots, and other vegetables in it. The pork chop meal is really good, especially when Ms. Karimi submits my special request!! The orzo rice is extremely soft, very good, and flavorful. The roasted potatoes are dangerously good and seasoned well. On Gyro Wednesday the gyros are $6.00. The tzaiki sauce is excellent to the taste, and pairs very well on the Greek salad, pork chops, and best with the roasted garlic potatoes!!!
Parking: Pay extremely close to where you park, and when you park due to the varied parking restrictions in the city.“

Beef broccoli good- not the best I’ve had but certainly good and beef seemed fresh- small place a bit of a wait time but staff was nice, I was offered a free soda for my wait. “Memory lane. My old friend used to get food from here and share it with me. I didn't know that and didn't understand why she braved through the hood for this place until I left the DMV area. It's worth it. This was the first place that I was introduced to Chinese carryout food and mumbo sauce. Check this out: Mumbo sauce is a DIP for fried chicken wings and not a wet rub. The correct and best way is to dip your fried chicken wings in the mumbo sauce (like you dip your wings in ranch dressing). If you want to smother your wings in mumbo sauce, then that is your personal preference, but anyone or any place serving the wings to you already smothered in mumbo sauce is wrong. Mumbo sauce is pink and is supposed to come in a condiment cup (just like ranch dressing). Another thing: The wings here taste good on their own and better with mumbo sauce. Best wings in the DMV. Best mumbo sauce in the DMV. Best wings & mumbo sauce pairing in the DMV. I said it. I left the DMV years ago and there is no American Chinese carryout that compares to this place in my travels. Trust me, only NYC Chinese carryouts can dare compete. I only took off a star because of my ordering experience years ago. I brought my brother here to order carryout because I am not brave enough to go to the hood by myself, and the lady who took my order was rude, not nice, unfriendly, unwelcoming, the worst. It's as if I wasn't a human being. If I wasn't determined to have my brother taste the food (he agreed that it tasted really good), then I would have turned around and said forget it.“

“Wow! We got lo mein, chicken wings and mixed vegetables. Lo mein tastes like it did in the 90's. Last year, I had a sub. This is one establishment where the flavors never change. If you are familiar with the area, then you know what I'm talking about.“

“Panda Gourmet is phenomenal. The food is so delicious, and the prices are great. The string beans, eggplant, Mongolian lamb, and spicy chicken are key highlights. Seriously, the food is phenomenal.
One note: Panda Gourmet is really designed for family style. Come with a group, 6 or more so that you can get the variety and also share the dishes. If you're just ordering for yourself, you'll probably miss out on some of the best, since a dish that is literally 100% green beans/eggplant with nothing else is a very weird meal even if the taste is amazing!“

“This place is so fun if you love a variety of Asian foods, and this evening I happened to walk in on a fantastic live jazz band playing by the bar. Last time, we had Korean tacos and tempura, this time I’m having croffles, miso soup, and spaghetti. (I know it’s weird but it’s all so delicious)“

“The food is generally good in a pinch. These dumplings though? The dough is sooo thick it's distracting from the filling and the sauce. I wind up mostly eating the filling and leaving the dough. I get the steamed dumplings.
Kid-friendliness: There isn't anything inside specifically for kids, but they're welcomed into the building.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps to get into the building. Not accessible.“

“We travel to this area frequently and my children love the food at Panda Express anywhere we go. Although the food and service is always good, I want to especially brag on the service this evening. The restaurant made a mistake on my order that I didn’t realize until I was already back at my hotel room. When I called them, they immediately offered to fix the mistake by delivering the missed item to me and were at my hotel within 10 minutes which was AWESOME! Not only did they deliver the missed item but, an additional meal for my inconvenience. Would definitely recommend this location for the service alone.“

“This is literally the best Chinese food I have ever had. Their ingredients are clearly quality and they seem to make the sauces from scratch. They are only doing takeout still as a heads up, but for us that doesn't matter since we get them as a treat on our way back home from things in that area.“

“Hands down, the best Chinese food in DC! I've lived here for 6 years and just started going here and I've been back 3x in the past 2 weeks bc they have the best sesame chicken with white rice, and today I got the honey chicken wings with fries, I like a lot of honey sauce, they even put it on the fries for me. Ofcourse, I cannot forget about the half and half lemonade tea ?
Parking: Its located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking spots
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchair accessibility, and no stairs leading into the business“

“It’s a takeout restaurant with no seating. The ordering area is clean and well lit.
The customer service is really really good. They talk to you respectfully on the phone, which I really appreciate.
I ordered shrimp and broccoli as well as orange chicken and I really liked both. The shrimp are big and juicy and they give you a good portion. The broccoli is crisp and fresh, I actually ordered twice in a week. The fried rice is okay, I’ll ask for eggs and veggies in it next time.
They also have decent prices!!
I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese food, and they are yet to disappoint me.
I will definitely be back.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs so you can just roll right in.“

“I have been eating from Eastern panada for years my favorite Chinese food the egg foo young gravy is so good.. I drive to Lanham all the time when I am in the mood for Chinese food. “My go to chinese carryout place. Best place for chicken wings or other chicken pieces to eat as well and the fried rice. I tried fried rice from dozens of other carryouts and nothing comes close to their rice. Steak and cheese is the best and others dishes are great as well. Only problem is it's cash only other then that food is great.Btw ask for the hot sauce if you get fried chicken. The sauce is strong but goes well with the chicken!“

“I heard the chicken with mumbo and honey sauce was a must-try—and they weren’t lying. I live 49 minutes from this spot and I’ve driven there multiple times in just one month for those wings. As a DC native, I already love mumbo sauce, but that honey twist takes it to a whole new level. I always throw in some French fries, drench them in both sauces, and it’s straight-up BOMB. Honestly, that and the steak and cheese egg rolls are the only things I’ve tried so far—but they’ve been so good, I haven’t needed anything else.“
