We I arrived there was a lady in front of me ordering and she mentioned that she saw it in TikTok as well. We made an instant connection and the owner is very nice and friendly! “Showed up just before nine on our way through town. The place is quiet and unassuming, the facade is definitely worn, but the food is exceptional. It came out fast, piping hot and was delicious without exception. If you're looking to eat it in the car like we did, remember to ask for utensils.My only complaint is that we're three hours from home and can't make it a regular haunt.“

Spicy potato noodle soup with beef. my friend gave it a 8.5 very spicy he was sweating but he said it had tender noodles, tender beef that was season well.

pan fried rolled noodle. 8.5 noodles well cooked not too spicy for me where i could still taste the blend of the onions and spices.“

“It’s a staple on my list of comfort places to go. I usually deal with Stephanie and shes always courteous. The food is also usually consistently good.

Came in today and my order included 5 wings split. Tina made it a meal and I didn’t notice till I got home. There was a bit of a misunderstanding when I called in regarding it but she took my name and number and will provide a credit next time I’m in so that was resolved. This review is to keep them accountable for the next time I’m in the restaurant since I don’t know when that’ll be next.

“Panda Cafe is the only Chinese restaurant I go to—and for good reason! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious😋. The staff are incredibly kind and polite, and the service is impressively fast. The restaurant is clean, and they package everything so well for takeout. I genuinely love this place. Thank you for the amazing service and consistently great food! I used to live 3 min away from here, now I live about 25min away but I still always come here💙!“

“I love this place. No it doesn’t have the best ambiance being in a strip mall and the interior probably needs work. But they aren’t selling a dining experience, they are essentially takeout only which means they are selling the food.

The food is solid. I am a very picky eater, and I’ve returned to this place many times. It’s authentic and flavorful. They also give you large portions and they are not expensive. I used to drive to Columbia just for Singapore noodles because I didn’t know where else to get them done well.

So far I’ve had the singapore noodle, general tso, combo rice, and steak and cheese sandwich. i really enjoyed that steak and cheese! but i don’t like crinkle fries which is what they serve.

I’m so glad ive found local takeout that is GOOD! the woman who works at the front is very friendly and professional. I will keep going back.“

It is recently under new management and the way some items are prepared has changed, but still very tasty -- just a new twist on an old favorite. The one thing the new management needs is someone who knows their way around a bar. “I was browsing through Chinese places and I came across Lucky Star. I must say, that this place exceeded my expectations. In the past, Ive tried other Chinese places and the concerns I've had were the food isn't hot its always warm or cold and that the taste of the food decreased. So I gave lucky star a try and I got the Steak & Cheese sub with an order of fries. Upon receiving my food, the lady who is always at the counter is so kind and she greets you with a friendly attitude and she even recognizes returning customers which is also a plus. “General Taos chicken is delicious. Sweet and sour chicken was great. The wings are crispy diner wings, not Asian fusion like you’d expect but still good. Had pan fried chicken dumplings (EXCELLENT), shrimp fried rice, and steamed shrimp dumplings. Also the drinks were strong, first time having a blueberry margarita and I highly recommend. Wish they had egg rolls and not just spring rolls. Atmosphere could be better, maybe try dimming the lights? But pretty no-nonsense and straight forward overall including decent service. She opened the platter in front of me and put the sauce on the hot wings and fries in front of me so I could see it was extra. Crispy fries crispy chicken mild mumbo that’s not super sweet and it’s actually mumbo and not sweet and sour sauce. and not watery at all. Will definitely be going back.“

“On my way into DC, I got takeout from Panda Express. On the way back home, I stopped at Wok-A-Holic in Union Station. The latter was decidedly much better—Wok-A-Holic’s orange chicken and broccoli chicken were far superior to Panda’s serviceable but bland orange chicken and broccoli beef. The fried rice was just okay, but overall I was pretty satisfied with the quality of my quick takeout meal.“

“Memory lane. My old friend used to get food from here and share it with me. I didn't know that and didn't understand why she braved through the hood for this place until I left the DMV area. It's worth it. This was the first place that I was introduced to Chinese carryout food and mumbo sauce. Check this out: Mumbo sauce is a DIP for fried chicken wings and not a wet rub. The correct and best way is to dip your fried chicken wings in the mumbo sauce (like you dip your wings in ranch dressing). If you want to smother your wings in mumbo sauce, then that is your personal preference, but anyone or any place serving the wings to you already smothered in mumbo sauce is wrong. Mumbo sauce is pink and is supposed to come in a condiment cup (just like ranch dressing). Another thing: The wings here taste good on their own and better with mumbo sauce. Best wings in the DMV. Best mumbo sauce in the DMV. Best wings & mumbo sauce pairing in the DMV. I said it. I left the DMV years ago and there is no American Chinese carryout that compares to this place in my travels. Trust me, only NYC Chinese carryouts can dare compete. I only took off a star because of my ordering experience years ago. I brought my brother here to order carryout because I am not brave enough to go to the hood by myself, and the lady who took my order was rude, not nice, unfriendly, unwelcoming, the worst. It's as if I wasn't a human being. If I wasn't determined to have my brother taste the food (he agreed that it tasted really good), then I would have turned around and said forget it.“
