“The little ladies inside at the register are AMAZING, one of the cooks, an older woman, ALWAYS has smile and wave, another older woman is so very nice. Another younger woman i caught frowning at me 1 time.

It's unfortunate to the business that it is where it is otherwise the atmosphere. What get a higher for me?It's not the fault of the business.It's just it being located in fordsville. But the atmosphere is never a place of drama, so I would give it about a 3.8 just not a 4.“

“The food was delicious, ambiance even better and service the best.
Stopped in here for brunch with a 1PM reservation on a Saturday. Party of three. We opted for bottomless mimosas (pineapple and cranberry). Our waitress(es) were a delight and attentive - Shoutout to DeLo! My two friends opted for the breakfast burrito while I had steak and eggs. The potatoes were seasoned well and the steak was cooked to my preferred doneness. Since it's a bistro they did not have steak sauce - however they offered me other options which included a mushroom gravy type sauce which paired so well with the steak. I would return just for that combination. I didn't see too many reviews for brunch so I wanted to provide some pictures for that. It's a small space with cute esthetic. It reminds me of a nice remote working coffee shop vibe. I cannot wait to return!“

Our server was very kind and was very accommodating for my Mothers birthday. Only gripe I had was a 22% service fee for parties of 6 or more which is a little higher than standard.“

“​The food here genuinely hit the spot, but the surcharge and tipping setup at the end left a bit of a sour taste.
​We ordered a solid spread across the table:
​Steak Frites: Cooked just right, tender, and the herbaceous chimichurri sauce added great flavor. The fries were hot, golden, and crispy.
​Chicken Pasta: Rich, creamy sauce balanced nicely by the capers and fresh lemon squeeze, with generous portions of chicken.
​Caesar Salad: Crisp romaine, plenty of parmesan, and crunchy croutons—classic and refreshing.
​Ted's Tart: The nostalgic rainbow sprinkles with whipped cream made for a fun, sweet finish to the meal.
​The real frustration came with the check. Between the added service fee/surcharge and the prompt for standard tipping on top of that, the final bill felt disproportionately high for casual neighborhood dining. Hidden fees stacking up on top of regular menu prices takes away from what would have otherwise been an easy 4- or 5-star meal.
​Great kitchen output, but management really needs to rethink the fee creep.“

“Big Bear was the best wedding venue we could have asked for. Between the atmosphere, the staff, Bri Hartmann, the amazing Event Manager, our night was beautiful. Bri made us feel so important throughout the entire process, she kept us informed, listened to our vision, and kept us calm as we tried not to freak out about the weather. And even beyond the basics, Big Bear made sure that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. Big Bear was incredibly accommodating to the various accessibility needs of our guests, and never once made us feel like a burden. The venue is beautiful, especially in the spring and we got so many compliments about how perfect the space was for us, how delicious the food was (especially the cookies), and how well executed every detail was. Being able to have our ceremony and reception in one incredible spot was truly the icing on the (wedding) cake. Big Bear was prepared with a rain plan that worked for us and we cannot recommend it enough.“

“My friends and I went to Motorkat today after attending a play in Olney. Mikey was our server and was a stellar server. He was friendly yet professional. We came in with an appetite. We started with the smoked salmon and artichoke dip. The portion size was nice, and the chunky texture and flavor fit well with the Saltines. Next was the pistou salad, roasted sunchokes and the pork belly with creamy grits. The pistou salad was artfully plated and was soo good. The roasted sunchokes came with a miso ranch dressing and sesame seeds. It was so good and the mixed textures worked well. The pork belly sat on a bed of the creamiest grits I've ever had. The pork belly was tender, and the smoky tomatoes were a great paring and provided just enough acidity to cut through the richness of the dish. Still hungry, we ordered the flank cut short ribs and broccolini. The grilled broccoli were lighly tossed with chili garlic sauce, peanuts and basil. Divine. The flank cut ribs were Cumin scented and accented with a tart cucumber salad. They were fork tender and very flavorful. Our only disappointment was the scallion Pancake with pickled vegetables. We felt that overall then presentation was nice, but the Pancake was a bit thick and was a bit charred on the bottom. The pickled vegetables overpowered the pancake.. Out meal ended with mango sorbet. Overall, we loved the service Mikey provided, and all the staff was gracious. I highly recommend this spot for dinner. Thank you!“

“Food is good and menu has something for everyone. The best part is the staff. Anna is an awesome server. She has taken care of our family a few times and she always remembers us and our preferences. She is great with kids. The last time my daughter and I were there she had another table with a couple that had a baby. She took care of them seamlessly while juggling everyone else.“

“We used Sonoma's private mezzanine floor for an event for 30 people, and it was a great success. Hilary from the events team was very helpful in figuring out a setup / configuration that would work well for our team, and the menu prepared was exceptional with regards to taste, quality, and variety.

A huge factor for also choosing Sonoma is the proximity to Capitol Hill and many administrative buildings within DC. This was an easy walk for a members, and although it's right off a main street and busy thoroughfare, it was still quiet in the restaurant.

“Voltaggio Brothers did not disappoint. The ribeye was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned and creamy. The bacon on the loaded potato had a great flavor to it. The housemade ketchup was delicious. The Bananas Foster prepared table-side was a perfect conclusion to the meal. The waitress we had wasn't as present as I would have liked for drink refills but the gentleman clearing/cleaning tables was hustling. Very happy we visited and wish they had a location near our home.“
