“I consider Jackie and the crew at Hook & Reel Wheaton to be friends of mine. I work close by and pop in at the bar often. The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀“

“It had been a while since I visited and some things have changed, not all for the better. There's a robot server that brings plates from the kitchen and the novelty wore off quickly. The robot's return button is too far away and requires you lean out a bit far. The voice sounds like a very young little girl and grated on my nerves after it said "I'm going back now" for the third time. The service provided by the biologicals bringing drinks, picking up dishes, etc. was not diminished, although not having ingredient placed on the table was sorely missed. Payment is now via a portable card reader at the table, I don't care for having someone stand there and wait for you to choose a tip and sign the receipt. It's unpleasant having someone watch while you feel compelled to rush so you don't take time away from other customers. The food just seemed off that night, my tomato broth and my wife's mushroom broth both seemed off and lacking of the flavor we remember, also just remembered also we were never asked if we wanted more broth. Seems we'd have to ask for that via the tablet in lieu of a server. Broccoli and corn seemed fine, while the fish, shrimp, squid, firm tofu, and lobster balls seemed to be of lesser quality of poorer taste. The app on the tablet used to order has been changed. Several items, mostly refills, lack proper icons. I'm accustomed to using the images to make quick choices and the app seems less convenient now. Once you start ordering the items appear in a pane that opens on the right, taking away from the area used to display options. I prefer having my order being a separate tab. The list of available items is now a single scrolled list, with the buttons on the left being shortcuts.“

“This place has authentic Dominican cuisine. Very limited in their buffet options though. Their seasoning is very much like back home, so much savoring and delicious meals. It almost made me feel like I was eating out of my grandma's kitchen 😋. Highly recommend stopping by and getting a plate hear.“

Seafood In The Buff Wheaton Location had Superb Food that is very Fresh, Moist & cooked to perfection. We had THE BEST, I repeat The Best Fried Crocker & Shrimp Platter w/Cole Slaw & Broiled Salmon. “Another successful event held at Bushel and a Peck. This time we were in their smaller private room. They also have a fantastic, large private dining area, as well as outdoor seating. I highly recommend them if you are looking to book a private party or corporate event. Or just a date night or client meeting. The staff is great, the venue is beautiful and the food is amazing.“

“Nice place, the atmosphere is great, they have nice selection. I liked that they had pineapple juice, I tried their spanapokita comes with a salad its not too loaded like most greek salads so that was unfortunate but not too bad.(see photo). Spanakopita wasn't over loaded with grease like most places that was impressive, I had one of their desserts don't remember the name but sounded like gallerkopbuerko. The dessert was real tasty. I'll be back to try other things like their specials fish options especially.“

I had the rainbow soup dumpling, and there was congealed fat inside of it and the truffle one just was overpowering in truffle flavor and the flavors just weren’t quite what I was hoping for. “I placed a big order for Thanksgiving 🦃 and got around 50 wings 🍗 and fries 🍟. The wings came in 5 different flavors, and we were pleasantly surprised by the overall quality! With such a large order, we expected the wings to be soggy, but they were actually super crunchy and packed with flavor 😋👏.

The only downside was that the order came with just one container of ranch dipping sauce 😕, but the staff was really attentive, which made up for it 👍. The food was fantastic, and I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re craving amazing bone-in wings! 🔥🍴“

“We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Walrus as usual. Their shucking raw bar is the best. Seafood is always fresh and delicious. Their staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Aaron was no exception. We went for Chesapeake Oyster week and half price on raw bar Tuesday so we enjoyed a great meal at a fantastic price. Highly recommend, going back real soon.“
