“Hidden Gem (at least I didn’t know about it lol) I happened upon it and decided to give it a shot. I was the only diner so I had the place to myself.

Solid sushi without the pomp and circumstance. Volcano roll was good!

TIP: any oder of $30 comes with one complimentary can soda.

Any order over $35 comes with a complimentary regular (no veggies, no chicken, etc.) Lo Mein.

“I loved the vegan ramen, menu is full of other vegan options as well. The chef and staff are very helpful and can modify dishes to make it vegan. We got fortune cookies at the end as well but they said they weren't sure if those were vegan. The ramen came in a huge bowl with loads of vegetables and fried tofu, highly recommended!!“

“Highly recommend! The food was to die for and the service was great! No wait time and everything was decently priced! My favorite was the aguachiles especial with salsa negra. The tuna and shrimp was also soo good. Tuna taste fresh and they have so many different hot sauces to compliment the dishes. The fish taco was crunchy but fresh at the same time and the beef taco was wrapped in a cheese filling - wow! Cannot wait to come back! I didn’t try any drinks but will be back soon!“

The food was good, the drinks were strong, the place was clean, the environment was friendly, and Chole gives amazing service and a strong drink lol.

Now let's address the other reviews, my first impression of this place 2 years ago was not that great, but giving them another shot was worth it and I sat at the bar solo without my newborn and my former lmao. (We still love that person) And now I love this place lol - I will be returning.

“Food: food was great, only deduction was the chicken appetizer was extremely small for the price paid. The pineapple frid rice was really good but pricy at almost $23. About 5 pieces of juicy shrimp were in the dish as well. Kruba cashew chicken was good.

Service: got there as soon as they opened for lunch so seated right away and food was quickly delivered.

Atmosphere: nice but a bit dated. Many of the tables are uneven and no longer sit together flush. Ambiance was nice, Thai decor all around and wooden vibe.

Final impression: very good for a quick lunch in downtown DC and head back to the office. Might be added to a regular rotation in DC lunch adventures.“

“When I say moving to this area there are not a lot of fast food spots I like to eat in! This one here though I must say is one I will! The atmosphere for lunch was very nice and tranquil! No overly loud music just a nice little vibe!! It was clean and the service was fast! The gentlemen that help me was nice and pleasant! I got the lunch special and it was more than enough food!!! Since I have been in the area a lot, I started marking which rolls I have had & liked, treating the roll like like Pokémon, 'got to eat them all'. So far the only rolls I didn't like were ones with ingredients or cooking methods that I am not a fan of. Two of the specialty rolls are usually enough food for me since when eating in you get a small bowl of soup, a small appetizer roll, and a piece of cake. “I regularly order sushi from this restaurant and usually go for either the Shrimp Tempura Roll or the Salmon Tempura Roll with added cream cheese inside the roll. However, today was a disappointing experience. I ordered two lunch specials (which should include a total of four rolls) through Uber Eats, requesting the Salmon Tempura Roll with cream cheese inside the roll.

Unfortunately, I only received one lunch special (just two rolls), which I reported through the Uber Eats app for a refund. On top of that, instead of adding the cream cheese inside the roll as requested, it was just placed on top—which really affects the flavor and overall experience. Anyone who enjoys sushi knows that how the roll is made impacts the taste.
