“Service was friendly and efficient. Food was tasty. Burger was good but needed the preferred internal pinkness as was relayed. Also needed more of the skinny onion rings like in the pic. Looked like onion rings were from the bottom of the barrel. My husband's sausage omelet was good. The beer on tap was excellent.
The maintenance of the cleaniness was much appreciated. I've been to other Silver Diners and glad this is close enough for us to check out as a late evening option.“

“The Haymaker is a great cocktail bar and has some of the best and hardest working bartenders in DC. When we arrived, the bar counter seats were almost full. Three cocktails in and the whole place was packed with 90/95% having cocktails, our refills still came quickly. Why only 4 star? They have changed the food menu and not for the better. The dumplings are still great. We also had the quesadilla. My wife liked it, I thought it was generic. We both thought the loaded tots were a major fail, the 'load', what little there was of it, had all fallen off and was in the bottom of the bowl. The draft beer choice is also weak, with Goose Island being their premium beer. I hope they change up their menu for the better.“

“This is my favorite bar in DC. Burgers are outstanding if you want the bigger more American type burger compared to say a smash burger. The fries are excellent, and the beers are the best in the city. Duvel is the greatest beer ever, no one else pours them this good!“

To make the visit even better, the food was freaking phenomenal! Our waitress made our stay perfect. We indulged in a variety of brunch items, with favorites including the catfish nuggets and cornbread, alongside lamb chops(small lamb chops), deviled eggs, and fried tomatoes. For our entrees, the shrimp omelette, French toast, chicken and waffles, and catfish and grits were all exquisite. Despite a few minor mishaps, the overall experience was delightful, and I highly recommend this establishment for its delicious food. It was a nice touch when the chef personally greeted our table, adding to the warmth of the experience. Advisable to book your reservation in advance, I look forward to returning in the future.“

Every part of the sandwich is created in house except for raising the animals for the meat.Trying every sandwich at their launch party, every single one was delicious, especially with the housemade buns. However, my favorite was the “Chivito” with beef, ham, bacon, egg, and more. The “Ampburger” tastes like a gourmet Big Mac and it’s everything.Their wedge fries are crispy and nice. “I always smell the chicken from this place when I drive by. It smells wonderful, I decided to stop and try them. I got two pieces of chicken, fries, biscuits, and mumbo sauce. The chicken was crispy and juicy inside. The mumbo sauce was really good. The service was wonderful, especially since I didn't know what they had at 1st. The guy working the window was exceptionally nice and patient he helped us with our order(sorry I didn't get his name). I am definitely going to try them again. Thanks.
