“I came here for dinner during DC Restaurant Week. I was really looking forward to trying this place out because I’m a huge fan of their sister restaurant, Daikaya. We made reservations, but were kept waiting after we arrived. To the manager’s credit, he made us comfortable while we waited with a drink and apologized for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. We were seated upstairs next to a large diorama of…well, I’m still not quite sure what it was lol. The decor in the restaurant seems disjointed and not at all cohesive. I thought it was odd.We started with the arugula salad which was fine. I also had the Brussels sprouts which were very good. I had a slice of the Tonari pizza and my friend had a slice of the Mentaiko & Corn pizza. Both were super delicious! The corn pizza has a very unique flavor that’s hard to describe, but it works. We also both ordered the Mentaiko pasta which was equally delicious. For drinks, I had the Daidai, which has zero alcohol and was good; it’s pretty fruity but not overly sweet. They were offering dessert when we were there, and we both had an espresso affogato. All in all, I thought the restaurant was great. They had recently opened, so I could tell they were still working out some kinks, but I think it’s a great addition to the food scene in downtown. The prices are also reasonable. I would return!“
“I really wanted to give a 5 star review because the food was incredible, however the service was slow for the price point. Plus, the 4% surcharge added onto the bill is deceptive. Our waiter explained that instead of raising their menu prices, they just tack on the fee. However, it’s not clear on the menu what exactly this fee goes towards. Why not just raise the price by $2 and stop fooling customers?I’d come back for the food for take away or to sit outside- the inside was cramped and very loud.“
“We were in a Rush to find something to eat at the end of a very long day, and found this cute little restaurant that was said to have good gluten-free options. We were lucky to get seated pretty quickly on a Monday evening, and the waiter took great care of us. I had a nice gluten-free lamb bolognese, and the others at our table really enjoyed their dishes as well. The waiter was even able to bring out gluten-free bread for me. Allergen safety seems to be quite excellent at this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and nut free options available.“
“Oyster Oyster offers a delightful culinary journey celebrating sustainability and creativity. The menu, focusing on plant-based cuisine, presents a diverse array of dishes showcasing seasonal ingredients. Each plate is thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The service is attentive and knowledgeable.“
“JUST INCREDIBLEGreat concept with the way around drinks. You will be given a card which is linked to your Dankort. Then you put this card on at one of the 99 taps (beer, wine, shots, cider, soft drinks). Then you draw according to how many Cl you put in the glass.Their portions of food are large. Pizza super delicious. TRY THEIR MOZZARELLA STICK!“
“I'd come back for a slice. Located inside the Western Market on/near GW University. A little hard to find, yelp map doesn't match actual location (used google maps instead). Ordered a half margarita half pepperoni pie. Was hungry so ordered a slice of margarita pizza while we waited. The slice was awesome!!! The crust was crispy airy and delicious. Disappointed a little with the crust on the whole pie... it wasn't crispy at all... a little chewy. Tasted like two completely different pizza spots. Service was friendly. There was room for small or medium sized groups with seating in the back or out in the market place walk way. They had a large selection of drinks including beer/wine/etc.“
“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“
“I stopped by on a Wednesday for lunch based on the reviews I saw here. I was more than satisfied. The staff are friendly, the decor and atmosphere is clean, comfortable and stylish, and the pizza is fantastic. I wish I could give them more than five stars!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian toppings. They also can do dairy free if you are vegan.Dietary restrictions: They told me that they have multiple dairy-free options.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy street level access and handicapped bathroom.“
“This is our favorite neighborhood spot and a great place to bring friends from out of town.- Amazing pizza - our faves are the potato & smothered onion and we often get the special white too- Great drinks, they have good beers on taps and fancy cocktails- Awesome and friendly service. I also like that the gratuity is included and clearly communicated, makes everything feel more transparentMy personal hot tip is that I like the circle pizzas better than the squares. But they're all delicious!“
“Fantastic experience with Lauren Brooks-Soloman at Present Company Public House! She responded promptly to my questions, reached out numerous times to assist me with questions and provided outstanding customer service. I would work with her again at ANY time!!!“
“Inclusive EnvironmentWe order here all the time but today was different than any other. My daughter is a Special Olympics athlete & hearing impaired and the young lady behind the register told her she works for them and communicated with our daughter in sign language! We couldn’t contain our smiles. Any inclusive place we can find gets 5 stars from us.“
“Stopped by Minya's this week. Grabbed a ginger tea (amazing) and avocado toast. Both were delicious. The bread for the toast was locally sourced and the ginger tea was from their in house brand imported from Eritrea. Oh and surprise there is a beautiful SPEAKEASY downstairs! I will definitely return to try their derho (think Doro Wot) pizza and to visit the speakeasy. Excellent customer service and quality food. A must try in the city.“
“First time visiting DC came across this restaurant. Did not have a reservation so i was placed on a 20-25 mins wait list. I was pleasantly taken to my table by the manager after he noticed my discomfort with the host up front because he said he called our names and we didn’t answer and skipped our names and didn’t want to let us in. Overall, food was amazing the restaurant is beautiful, my waitress was very polite and professional. The only hiccup was the host! Needs more costumer service experience.“
“It was the best. The beer, whiskey, and pizza were great. But best of all was the service. Amber's response was divine. Amber's exquisite timing of serving food and drinks, her ability to judge the situation no matter how busy she is, and her always innocent smile. It was the best and the best time in all.“
“I recently visited Mia’s Italian Kitchen in Alexandria, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! The Chicken Parmigiana stole the show, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was intimate, creating the perfect setting for a cozy and enjoyable meal. I highly recommend Mia’s to anyone craving delicious Italian cuisine in a charming atmosphere.“
“Absolutely loved the place and the pizza. I got the honey Sriracha chicken pizza and they have a ton of condiments to add to your liking. Plus it was free ice cream day so they let me pick one as well. Lady behind the counter was super friendly as well. 11/10“
“I stopped by Old Town's Farmers Market, snagged a few goodies from Taste of Eurasia's booth. Tasty treats were the word of the day, but I settled on some egg and cheese pastry. This item was a delicious concoction of egg and cheese, making for the perfect breakfast. I really loved runny egg yolk in the center of the pastry.. yum!The next time I stop by the market, I am most certainly making Taste of Eurasia my go to stop.“
“We had a half vegetarian half tibs pizza. The crust is soft and similar to keeta.Toppings are high quality meat and veggies and come heavily loaded, you will most likely need utensils. They have green salsa and hot honey too.One pizza was 16 inches and was more than enough for 3 people.Just as good if not better than having a traditional Ethiopian meal.Limited indoor seating, lots of outdoor.Vegetarian options: Pizza“
“Great food, really the best pizza I've had outside Italy/Europe. The prices are ok for DC (read:high) but totally normal for good food here. The service was pretty good, but I feel the ambience is much better in their Brookland branch, this feels a bit more corporate/normal and at the same time less fancy.“
“Hands down the best pizza in the DMV area, and that’s coming from a New Yorker and pizza snob over here. The Old Town location has hot pies cranking on rotation, so they’re never out of slices of anything I’ve wanted when I’ve dropped in. Great vibe, great service, great pizza.“
“This is our go-to pizza place! We always get carry out, as they only have outdoor seating, but the food is always fresh, the staff always polite and the pizza is always delicious. Pricewise, it's on-par with other local pizzerias, but the quality is so much better. PLUS, I have heard their sandwiches are also delicious.“
“Was on a trip to the area in April and had dinner at the Shirlington location. I am still telling people about the best eggplant parmesan I have ever had! Everything was excellent! Definitely would recommend to people going that way. I only wish I had picked up something from their shop to bring home with me for another time.“
“The best pizza in the DMV, by far! Friendly staff, great service and fantastic drinks. We are regulars! There is always a wait to get a table, but you can order snacks and drinks and hang out outside while listening to pleasant music. Highly recommended! ?“
“Delicious food and gluten free options. I do wish the menu online was the same as the restaurant, it seemed there were more options for my friend than there wereDietary restrictions: There were lots of gluten free options, but fewer vegan options than I anticipated“
“I had such a lovely experience at Kabana. I went for Iftar and it was so calm and family friendly. They had an amazing spread of Middle Eastern food. Every single dish was so flavorful. There were so many people there and they had a ton of food on the buffet that they kept refilling. Severs also kept checking in on us so that we had a chance to order anything extra. A while after we broke fast we had hookah which was discounted and coffee. Everyone was so friendly. I would definitely come again and recommend to all my friends and family.“
“A first date cancelled on my 20 minutes before we were supposed to meet. My super sweet server consoled me and even gave me a free dessert. The whole staff was unbelievably nice, and my Monday night half price pizza was delish. I've also had the pasta in the past and thought it was great, too. Cozy decor. I recommend.“
“Our visit to Red Light Bar & Detroit Pizza turned out to be quite an enjoyable evening, despite a few hitches. The highlight was undoubtedly their pan pizza, which was delicious though a tad oily for our liking. The place was bustling with energy, a testament to its popularity, which meant we ended up sitting outside. Nonetheless, the lively atmosphere and great food made for a fun night out. If you're in the mood for some authentic Detroit pizza and don't mind the crowd, this spot is definitely worth a visit.“
“Incredible, fresh ingredients on the lightest, puffiest dough you’ve ever had. Charming atmosphere, super friendly and attentive waitstaff and the owners are on-site and working hard. This is a family-owned restaurant and they are a delight! Authentic Roman pinsa! Highly highly recommend!“
“I found Flames and Cones on line with rave reviews and all were correct. The pizza is the best I have had in a long time. All of the flavors meld together to perfection. The homemade sauce, the fresh garlic and spices sausage......I can not say enough good things about my experience. I am a new customer and will return.Job well done!“
“We popped in to the Hawk n Dove after a busy morning touring the Capitol Building. We were greeted at the door in a reasonable amount of time. It looked like the restaurant was full, but they were able to get us a table near the kitchen - which is always fun since you can watch the buzz of the kitchen and wait staff hustling out all of the food orders. There is a lot going on here - busy bar, sports, news and trivia televised on screens above the bar. Witty T-shirts and memorabilia hanging on the walls. Generous portions, and upscale healthy food options in addition to the normal pub grub. We noticed that other tables had opted for salads and flatbreads so we did too. The personal sized flatbread was the perfect amount for one person. Nice combination of toppings and a warm soft crust. Salads were perfectly seasoned and dressed. Everyone in my party was happy with their lunches. Definitely would recommend.“
“I went to try this place because of a friend of my girlfriend's was working. I came around lunchtime and got the MORNING AFTER BURGER as well as the SCHNITZEL BODEGA BREAKFAST SANDWICH. Both were satisfactory and gave me a good boost for the rest of the day. I am not going to mention how good or bad the service was due to the fact that we had a friend serving us, but in our case, we had excellent service. CR NoMa is a cute place to get a bite to eat if you are in the area and are looking for the quintessential neighborhood restaurant. A place without pretense, locally owned by people who know and appreciate the neighborhood and the people who live and work there.“
“What a wonderful pizza place! My friend and I stopped by for the first time yesterday for pizza and I got sausage and onion and he got one with tons of meat on it and it was absolutely fantastic pizza. Tasted fresh and delicious and the service was outstanding here. Veeerryy nice staff. I will definitely return if I am in the DC area!“
“My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. We really highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back!“
“Stayed at a hotel nearby and found the Hive Bar as we walked the neighborhood. We were looking for something fast and tasty and the pizza did not disappoint!! They were trying out a new menu (for the Super Bowl) so we snacked on popcorn chicken and tatters as well. Tatters are a favorite!!“The” Old Fashioned cocktail was amazing!! Our bartender was an expert and made this delicious drink delicious every time! The bar is accessible, with a bar and tables on the first floor, and an elevator to the rooftop bar. The pizza/food is delivered from &Pizza which is attached to the hotel.Street parking was easy on the weekend.“
“All of our appetizers and our two pizzas was a real food experience. The creations and presentation were outstanding. We had a large variety and each dish was amazing . The pistachio baklava cheesecake was over the top. Staff very friendly too❤️“
“Not only the quality is top notch, the consistency between their locations is even more admirable. I can go to any location and be happy. When you combine quality, creativity, knowledge, skills, the love and passion in what they do, this is what makes my stellina my home.“
“We came upon this place as we were just walking through the town, taking in all the views. Such a quaint town. This place loooked so cute so we stopped in and the pizza was soooo good. Super thin and tasty! The guy behind the counter was Italian and so very nice and he clearly cares about how the finished product came out.Totally recommend when in Georgetown.“
“The ingredients are top-notch, but if you like or are accustomed to picking up a slice of pizza with your hand, prepare to be disappointed and challenged here because the pies here are consistently limp amd soggy. I live across the street and the few times I have ordered takeout pizza from this place, I go home and finish cooking it in my own oven. It's pretty damn tasty afterwards too.“
“We'd been wanting to go here for a long time and finally made it out. This place is amazing. It has a nice cozy vibe and you're hit with a warm, lovely aroma or baking pizza as soon as you walk in! We got the Green Monster and The Shirley and both were absolutely fantastic. They have good beers on tap too.The dough is light, airy and delicious and doesn't sit in your stomach like a rock. Everything about the food is spot on.“
“The staff were all welcoming from the start. The food was AMAZING! The owner came to our table to check on our evening. We were very happy and I must say the Filet Mignon with balsamic glaze was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten at 3 star Michelin restaurants . The evening was important to us as we got engaged that day. I highly recommend this wonderful little jewel of a restaurant !!“
“It really doesn’t get better than Andy’s! Whether it’s date night with a bottle of wine on a Wednesday or late night slices on the weekends, it just can’t be beat. Their white pizza is incredible, as is the pepperoni (gotta add hot honey on it!) Such a neighborhood “
“Do yourself a favor and stop in at NY Pizza Grill! Nice atmosphere, clean most importantly, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. We ate EVERYTHING on our plates. I recommend the Blazing Burger and wings. Kids loved the brownies! Visiting from Hawaii and the only thing I miss is mainland food! Wish we could come back more often just for this place, we will definitely be back!“
“I was looking for a place to print a document and found a hidden gem. Fast service great atmosphere and fast service. The breakfast burrito I received was not only delicious but also very filling from just one and im not one to easily fill up. I will be stopping by here next time I'm in the area. Thank you for existing I will be back.“
“We had a wonderful dinner tonight! The Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Butter Chicken and it did not disappoint. Loved the cozy atmosphere and the service was great! We will be going back for sure!“
“Mumu is the greatest! The food is fresh and delicious and always has a special touch - like the deliciously seasoned potatoes on the side of the sandwiches. Also, the owner Jermaine is a great guy and always goes the extra mile. My favorite is the avocado caprese. You may think you’ve had a lot of avocado toast, but you’ve never had one as fresh and delicious as this one. Get over to Mumu on Langston Blvd underneath Moms - parking is easy, too!“
“Phenomenal pizza. We used to eat at PI Pizza before they closed when we came to visit. This is a hole in the wall and is a must stop if you are ordering pizza to go. This is some of the best pizza I've had and tops and will compete with any of the establishments in Chicago or St. Louis.Great price for the portions you get.Greatl blending of tastes. Each was very good. Customer service was exceptional. Wish this was a chain restaurant.I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.“
“Stumbled upon this little bistro after taking a red line shuttle bus following WMATA closures. The bistro was serene and inviting on a cold, winter day in DC. They had a great selection of outdoor, indoor, and heated patio sitting. The service and atmosphere were par for the course, nothing spectacular. The food, however, far exceeded my expectations.First & foremost, this bistro’s speciality is pizza — thin coal fired or Detroit-style. My wife is allergic to dairy but was blown away by the coal-fired vegan cheese vegetable pizza, which was decadent and perfectly balanced between the splendid vegan cheese, mushrooms, spinach, olives and house made tomato sauce! Note: they only do not do vegan cheese substitutes for their Detroit-style pizza.Their Sunday brunch sandwiches — in this case, the McBeasty — were superb, and the Caesar Salad was very fresh and had a unique house made Caesar dressing that tied in everything well!I can confidently say that this place takes #1 for best vegan cheese pizza.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza with options for vegan cheese. The brunch menu has mostly vegetarian options as well. Salads can all be changed to vegetarian or vegan.Dietary restrictions: This bistro has tons of vegan and vegetarian options, especially for their coal-fired pizza.Parking: Parking is limited to paid street parking and nearby paid parking garages. I recommend taking public transportation to this location.Kid-friendliness: The bistro has a kids’ menu and high chairs for babies/toddlers. The staff was very kind and considerate toward my family.“
“Walked in without reservations but they were happy to seat us at the bar. Cocktails were amazing and beautifully done, the bartender was great and very friendly! Food was delicious - we had the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and the carbonara and chicken piccata. Didn’t try dessert but the entrees were incredible and very authentic-tasting, would highly recommend!“
“Wonderful food and staff experience! Highly recommend. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We ordered 4 different pizzas to share between four people, and each pizza was uniquely delicious. The food presentation was beautiful, and our server was so kind. Five stars!“
“I placed an order online for four 18inch pizzas and two 2 liter drinks. The food was waiting for me at the prearranged time, but you could tell that it hadn't been sitting out all morning long. Fresh and tasty. The chicken bbq bacon pizza was especially good. The gentleman at the counter was nice and efficient at checkout.“
