There is something inspiring and hopeful about old buildings that are revitalized with a bit of modern flair, but the historic bones are kept in place. Market Street Boba & Beans did a stellar feat at this by keeping two wood arched framed windows at the font of the shop and placed seating on a slight platform in front of the windows. The gold ceiling and moulding perfectly accented the bold black coffee bar and light colored walls. Lucky for me I was able to soak up some afternoon sunshine at one of the window seats making it perfect for daydreaming and people watching.

Initially Market Street Boba & Beans was on my radar because I was missing my youngest adult son (it’s weird typing that) who is a huge fan of boba. I am not a fan of boba and never order it in my drinks, but on this day I did. I ordered Thai tea slush with boba along with my usual cortado; both drinks were delicious. I would definitely return to this shop.

“This is more so a rating on a staff member than the establishment (though the times I’ve been here, it is well kept, bright, with lots of natural lighting. There are a variety of seating, and some patio as well. The staff have always been friendly and attentive and the work area are kept clean and appealing). I happened to go through the drive-thru today and was greeted by Dennis. While I was driving through, I was on the speaker phone with a friend. When I got to the window Dennis proceeded to ask if i needed napkins and a drink topper and all the time was very pleasant. As this may seem menial, these days, and at a drive-thru, it was an incredible breath of fresh air of the great customer service Dennis provided. Just the simple inquiries made a great start to my day. Even my friend heard the entire conversation and they said that they felt great, and they had nothing to do with the whole transaction. I’m sure Starbucks has other wonderful employees working at the store, but Dennis met me today and I wanted to give a shout out to him.“

“One of the most consistent Dunkin’s I’ve ever been to! Every time I’ve gone the staff has been very friendly, the service was quick and my food was delicious! I love Dunkin, but not every location is as consistent as I’ve found this one to be.“

“Stopped in 15 minutes before closing on my husband’s birthday so I could get him something delicious. They never made me feel rushed and were absolutely lovely. I picked a key lime cheesecake slice, a berry tart, and a chocolate crème brûlée. My husband loved them all. Our favorite, though, was the cheesecake. SO delicious. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Stopped in after a trip to Maryland from DC and waited around 40 minutes for a table for two around noon - so not terrible for such a busy time. The service was friendly, if not appearing slightly overwhelmed with the amount of people in the building. The menu is pretty basic diner food. We were hoping for some Cajun food based on the name NOLA, but that seems to be just a name and not a sign of the cuisine. The biscuits and gravy were decent but nothing to write home about and the French toast was also decent but unremarkable. For the price and wait it didn’t really meet our expectations and isn’t a place I would come back to. That said, it is serviceable, and by all means satisfactory, if you go into it with proper expectations.“

“I love Starbucks but it is getting extremely expensive and sometimes not so good. It depends on who is making it. I switched location because my one I had been going to for about 17 years is getting new people in, that after spending almost $7 for a drink, was not good.“

“I don’t frequent this location, but I did today about noon and there was a line of people and numerous online orders coming through. The only issue was that there was 1 young man doing it ALL. Trying to keep up with the orders, trying to get customers out satisfied, just trying his best but noticeably overwhelmed. I’d have to say management really missed the mark with staffing, but kudos to that gentleman holding it down.“
