“We ordered the fixed menu, which we thought was a great way to experience the best of the menu without having to think about what best to order. The light appetizers were definitely the highlight, along with the desserts. I particularly liked their seafood entree.“

“delicious. service is otherworldly, unlike any place else really. only knock is limited menu, which on the other hand makes ordering really easy. elegant, simple, clean, and, most importantly, the pho broth is the best“

“First off, the food here is amazing. Fair prices and great portion sizes. Very casual dining. You come in sit down with the menu and order at the front and they bring the food to you. I had the wintermelon milk tea and that was amazing too. Servers could be a smidgen friendlier/welcoming. But im here for the food and the food was amazing. Stop by here and you wont regret it.“

“This is a true neighborhood spot. It's situated on a corner lot all by itself but could easily be missed. Instantly welcomed in and directed to take a seat of our choice. They're hiring kitchen staff but I think they'd benefit from extra wait staff. That aside I love the taste of their pho broth. They are super generous with their meats, noodles, onions, and sprouts (I prefer mine steamed). Both our orders had a generous amount of parsley sprinkled on top. Different from previous pho spits but wecomed and enjoyed. The menu is pleasantly simple. I couldn't finish my small pho bowl which says just how generous their portions are. They offer more condiments than any other pho restaurant I've ever experienced, including liquid seasoning. I can't wait to get another craving so I can go back.“

“Great service! Food came out piping hot in less than 10 minutes. I had veggie spring rolls and my son had the shrimp pho. Both were delicious although I personally could’ve used more flavor in the pho. Love the decor and was able to find street parking right out back. Mind you, it was the middle of the day on a Friday. Wasn’t too busy inside but the ambience and music was nice.“

“I love Phonatics. Something about the texture and flavor of the broth makes it my favorite, and I love sitting at the window and watching 14th St. There is even a bald eagle that flies around Columbia Heights that I occasionally spot from the window.“

“I got their noodles combo with the lemongrass chicken and summer rolls with grilled pork. The noodles were great, especially with the what I presume to be a vinegar garlic dressing, but the chicken could’ve definitely been seasoned better as it was pretty bland and cooked a little more crispy as the outside texture was nonexistent. The summer rolls were great, especially with the peanut sauce. I will definitely be ordering from here again.“

“Delicious authentic Vietnamese food! I've been here three times now, and each time I loved what I ordered. The first time I had the rice plate with grilled lemongrass chicken (com ga nuong), the second time I had the pho tai chin (eye round steak and well done brisket), and the third time I had the vermicelli bowl with grilled lemongrass chicken (bun ga nuong). The lemongrass chicken here is so good. The food reminds me of the rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and pho that I had when I visited Saigon last year. The staff is all super friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with them, practicing my Vietnamese. I will always try to stop by here again when I'm in the area. I highly recommend Pho 72!“

“this was the BEST pho I’ve ever had!! I got their Banh Mirria Sandwich, and it was the most delicious thing i ate all week. The bread was soft and fresh, the beef and cheese were scrumptious. Highly recommend! I’ll be following them around the US for the rest of my life“

“Nina and Mike have built an incredibly special place in DC. The pho is delicious, highly recommend the spicy lemongrass pho. I typically go for a 13 full spice, but sometimes I change it up. My husband is a big fan of the banh mi, which comes with sweet potato tempura which is sooo goood! I can go on forever, I've happily ate everything on the menu. The staff are all lovely and friendly — together with the owners they a great big family filling bellies and hearts.“

“I actually used Banana Blossom Bistro for catering a lunch event for about 40 people, and it was stellar. The service, the food, the presentation. Everyone at my event was talking about the food for hours afterwards. We got an assortment of banh mi and the cabbage salad. The pork banh mi was INCREDIBLE. Annie was kind and communicative throughout the whole process. I can't recommend them enough!“

“Great service and great food. Place always is clean. Good portions of food.“
“I ordered Mr Yangs Vegan on uber eats and it got prepped and delivered to me fast, but the flavor of the items wasn't that great and seemed to what anyone could make at home. I ordered the Shrimp and fries, Beef and broccoli, Crab Rangoons and the Garlic knots and out of those, the garlic knots tasted the best.“

Atmosphere: 3.5 out of 5
Price/Value: 4.5 out of 5
Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.25 out of 5
Recommendations: Spring Rolls, Pho Dac Biet (rare steak, brisket, and meatballs)
A very decent pho shop with large bowls of pho. Location is kind of sketchy, and I’m not a fan of the atmosphere inside - too small and too dark. However, the quality of food makes up for it. Will probably come back again if I’m feeling pho!“
“This is not an dine-in restaurant currently, but I was looking for takeout anyway. The pho is excellent; large portions of chicken and beef in the respective soups, plenty of bean sprouts, jalapenos, and other additives, and decent amount of noodles. I also ordered a combination rice dish that came with small shrimp and I think chicken (dark meat so hard to tell), and it was very good, especially after I covered it with the sauce they gave me and then shook it to mix everything together. Total for 3 bowls of pho and the rice dish was somewhere around $50 and well worth the price.“

“This place is my favorite spot to eat Pho. I get the large bowl with brisket, meatball and shrimp. Extra onions, sriracha, jalapeños, hosin and steamed bean sprouts. Also the spring rolls and coffee boba tea😋😋“
