“Went there this past weekend and tried them for the first time!!! Was greeted soon as I walked in. A tough bag lady that was waiting for her order said I had to try the seafood Mac and cheese and she wasn’t wrong. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The good brother running the store also let me try a few other sides. All were amazing so I had to choose but I wanted to try all of them. I got the vegan drumettes, with the vegan ribs, seafood Mac and cheese and the collard greens. All tasted AMAZING!!!! I also ordered the mint tea and the ginger tea. Amazing. This was the Newark, De location on Main Street. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for hospitality and the great food.“

“I will start with this, I love Rose Ave.

I came in today at 10am and was deciding on a drink I wasn’t sure I would like because it might be too sweet. The cashier was genuinely kind and reassuring, and told me that if I didn’t like it, I could always change it. That made me feel comfortable trying something new.

Unfortunately, the drink did end up being too sweet for me, so I went back to the barista to ask if I could switch it to something else. The response I got was honestly kind of a bummer. She sighed loudly, exchanged dirty looks with another barista. She also tried to convince me the other drink would be even sweeter, which wasn’t even true. It made me feel embarrassed for asking, especially after being told it would be okay to change it.

She wouldn’t even look at me when I went back to pick it up and tell her thank you….

I still love this place and will continue to come back, but this experience was a big reminder that customer service matters just as much.“

“No other bakery like Seylou. We travel in to the city every weekend to eat here. The staff is so kind and feels like an extension of our family. They’ve taken my child behind the scenes and shown him how grains are killed and bread is baked. I could not ask for a better community and diet staple.“

The cookies are always so delicious, it is so hard to not order all at the same time.
I often take the classic two-chip chocolate cookies, but I’ve also tried the oatmeal raisin, the chocolate walnut, and the caramel coconut chocolate ones.

They’re all absolutely delicious, and depending on my mood I’ll get different ones.

They have seasonal cookies too, lately it is the carrot cookie. Can’t wait to test it! I’ve also tried the gluten free chocolate walnut cookie, and it is also worth the hype.

The staff is pretty quick, it’s not particularly a seating cafe but it’s a nice little snack at the end of the day :)“

“I recently discovered nomtastickim on Instagram and her Asian restaurant reviews. I don't like American food, but I've liked everything I've eaten after seeing her Asian restaurant reviews.
I picked up three items this morning at Morning My Day. The choices were plentiful and tempting. A coconut braid-not too sweet, just perfect for early morning with coffee or tea, a curry pork sung bread that was absolutely hands down delish-heated it in the oven for 5 minutes and ate it with hot sauce, and a purple yam flower bun-delicious but know that the bread consistency might not be what you're used to? It's a very moist dense dough. The lady had a genuinely welcoming smile. The shop was easy to find. I found parking quickly. There is one table, maybe two. It's more of a carry-out place. I will be back.“

“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

The harissa sourdough with black sesame crust was one of the best sourdoughs I’ve had in the US. Same for the almond croissant - insanely crunchy, buttery, not too sweet, with an almost custard like almond paste (devoured before we took a photo).“

“I ordered this cake for my wife’s 35th birthday and it absolutely exceeded every expectation! 🎂✨ The craftsmanship is incredible every detail is flawless, from the elegant monogram design inspired by Louis Vuitton to the adorable mini handbag and bow on top. It looked exactly like the photo, which is rare these days, and honestly looked even more stunning in person.

“Amazing bakery. All the cookies I had were super high quality even after I ate them a day later in the microwave. These cookies are very tall, with a warm soft center and crunchy exterior. I got the regular chocolate chip, which has a lot of chocolate chips. I also got the rocky road and Caramel coconut chocolate chip cookie which were both also great. High price but even higher quality and value. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area.“
