“Went there this past weekend and tried them for the first time!!! Was greeted soon as I walked in. A tough bag lady that was waiting for her order said I had to try the seafood Mac and cheese and she wasn’t wrong. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The good brother running the store also let me try a few other sides. All were amazing so I had to choose but I wanted to try all of them. I got the vegan drumettes, with the vegan ribs, seafood Mac and cheese and the collard greens. All tasted AMAZING!!!! I also ordered the mint tea and the ginger tea. Amazing. This was the Newark, De location on Main Street. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for hospitality and the great food.“

My oatmeal raisin cookie had the perfect reason to cookie ratio, I can tell they spent time in the lab on that one. If you're walking M street after a good meal this is a place that I'd recommend stopping into for a nice dessert.“

“We’ve always loved Baked & Wired’s goods, and we knew they would make the perfect cake for our wedding day. Of course, they delivered. Baked & Wired was very easy to work with and the cake was just right! Our guests loved it, and we can’t wait to eat the last slice on our one year anniversary!“

“There was a short wait of ~10 minutes, but that is an easy trade-off and no surprise for the quality of our experience. We arrived right at the breakfast/lunch transition during the week and had the best bialy with salmon and herb cream cheese along with some sweet baked goods, morning bun and ginger molasses cookies. We dined in with some coffees and the staff brought out cold waters without any prompting. Clean seating, bathrooms and friendly faces completed the positive atmosphere. Come for the food, stay for the service and rest assured, the line is worth the wait.“

“Stopped by after seeing high reviews. The atmosphere of the place is really nice. There’s quiet spaces to study. There’s cute little gifts you can purchase. However, the pistachio chocolate croissant I tried wasn’t good. I don’t like the taste of pistachio paste. Also it wasn’t fresh.“

“Come to this place. It’s first off delicious and smells like Copal (incense). Secondly the quality/quantity of food to price ratio is amazing, and mostly importantly it’s clearly locally owned.

I really like the lamb tiba and fish goulash. One dish is enough to feed 1.5 average sized people so bringing more than one person and sharing is the best idea. A good place for families/groups of friends.

In addition, they have this really delicious coffee in a tiny espresso cup that tastes bold and perfect as it comes.

“Charming bakery with not-too-sweet-desserts. Delicious tiramisu - this cake was gone minutes after blowing out the candles!

The owners had great communication for placing and picking up a full cake order. A special thank you for taking on my special request to decorate the cake with Russian writing! It came out perfectly beautiful and made my mom very happy :)“

“It was my first time going to this place , the staff can try to be more welcoming and pleaseant and help they clients to order , I had to take my mask off to speak and let them know what i wanted and as i was ordering I felt like i was being rushed to order , the food was tasting but tge owner needs to change the way the food is charged , I was charge for each separate item this is not a place where you order yourself a complete meal for a full charge , the food was delicious but I would not go back and another turn off in the bakery area they had flies around the sweet bread .“

“Bread Alley is a handy bakery for picking up fresh bread and a pastry or two. I went in during the morning and tried a savory pastry along with one of their breads. The pastry had a flaky exterior and a good amount of filling, while the bread had a crisp crust and soft center. The selection was varied enough to find something for breakfast or to take home.“

“The pastry selection at Paris Baguette made it easy to put together a little breakfast spread. We tried the almond croissant, ham and cheese pastry, and a slice of strawberry cake. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers with a sweet almond filling, while the ham and cheese pastry was savory and filling. The strawberry cake was light with just the right amount of sweetness. Everything looked fresh, and the variety made it easy to find something for everyone.“

“I can't believe that I have lived here for nearly 20 years, walked past this place many times, and just discovered it several weeks ago. WOW! The pastries and, cakes, muffins and croissants are excellent. Their homemade jams are wonderful. Their breads, quite yummy! I love their iced coffee , which has s a very subtle taste of cocoa. And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are. “I thought the pastries I ordered on my two trips here were great! We have been to bakeries all over Europe and up and down the eastern coast of America… They are kind of my thing. We love pastry shops all over the world. Though I don’t profess to know as much about French pastries as the other reviewer who had a negative experience , the classic pastries that we purchased were absolutely amazing. Honestly, better than most of the croissants I had in Paris 🤷‍♀ Very light , very crisp - we had nothing that came out doughy or chewy at all. The cappuccino with oat milk was made perfectly both times I went. I think they must have taken their previous feedback from that one reviewer to heart and improved, which shows growth and maturity.“

“One of the best things about Takoma Park. A real neighborhood bakery in a way you seldom see anymore. Everything is delicious and very reasonably priced for what you get. A larger coffee size wouldn't hurt and I miss the Scout sandwich, but aside from that, I wouldn't change a thing. Best bread I've ever had.“
