“We were in the mood for some dessert and came across Grandma's Ice Cream and Waffles. I had the vegan chocolate milk shake and my friend had the vegan waffle ice cream...all topped with vegan cream. No question a 10 out of 10. So many vegan options: breakfast, lunch/dinner and desserts. Now one of my go to restaurants. Big Bruno“

“In terms of food quality, this place is great. But the two times we’ve been there, it’s been within the last hour of closing and the smell is this place is TERRIBLE. Like truly awful. Smells like a mix of cleaning products and a portapotty. I’m not sure if they’re having plumbing issues or if it’s part of the end-of-day cleaning process, but hopefully they can address it. Yogurt and toppings are great though!“

“This is my first time trying this cookies and I have to say it tasted amazing. But it was on the pricey side and it is definitely overly priced for the size of the cookie. It also had very limited options. There was only four options to pick from.“

“Wow !!!!! This store is very clean and the staff members are off the charts ! One young man really stood out to me and he wore a backwards hat and a chain. His service was fenomenal. He was very kind and helpful. It was my first time coming to a Ben and Jerry’s and he helped me find the perfect flavor for me. You all are doing amazing !“

My family and I stopped in here a couple of weeks ago and we are all completely hooked! This ice cream is absolutely nostalgic, texture of which resembles the hand churn ice cream from your childhood. The flavors and toppings are simply amazing. I love that the cream is of just the right sweetness. There is subtlety and delicacy in the flavor that would otherwise be very difficult to balance. Staff is so friendly. This is our new favorite dessert place! Can’t wait to go back again soon!“

“After dinner I was craving some delicious ice cream & my date surprised me by taking me to the cutest ice cream shop ever. I am a big fan of gelato and when I tell you this is TOP SHELF w/ a side of phenomenal customer service I mean it. The staff was super nice, they allowed me to taste different flavors before I made my decision. They also have the cutest little “I melt for you” sign to take IG worthy pictures. Will most definitely be back for more! Gracias! 😊“

1. Original yogurt flavor is the best! So refreshing and flavorful! Love the tartness and flavor! Make sure to add mochi and coconut jelly!

“This review is for the location next to 7/11 10592B metropolitan ave, kensington md 20895. Best friendly and quick service, the place was so clean , i could had stay to eat there w my friend but we had to run back to work, the place was sparkling clean.“
“The ice cream was great. The service was not as good. The young staff seemed overwhelmed and uneasy answering even simple questions. On the upside,I was with my daughter and the staff person was very patient and generous giving her samples she should come to a decision on her cone - which she loved. And the sugar cones are delicious as always!“

“We come to Carmens regularly...and there is a reason for that...its fabulous! We love the gelati (ice with custard for those non Jersey types). The line moves fairly quickly and it's not overly expensive for a summer time treat. We typically get smalls and for the 4 of us, its less than $25. There are several locations. The Rockville location can be fairly busy, but the Olney location is generally much quieter, so if you are between the stores, this one may be a better option. Enjoy!“
