“Visiting the area for the zoo ! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and the comforting aroma of fresh spices. I had the Thai salmon over veggies (spicy) with rice — perfectly cooked, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The crab wagons were crispy and addictive, the shrimp tempura light and golden, and the Neptune Feast, with its lightly sauced veggies and crab meat, shrimp, and scallops was absolute perfection. Every bite was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. Service was quick and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. “What a great place! We were passing through and decided to swing in here. The parking lot was packed when we arrived & for good reason. The people were friendly and the food was delicious. Uncle Dirty even made sure to point out our Penn State shirts and gifted us a bottle of barbecue sauce! Would highly recommend!“

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.“

“My wife and I went to the Carriage House Inn to celebrate her birthday yesterday. It was our first time there. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. The bartender Mike was wonderful! We even met one of the owners. Our dinner was delicious, the scallops and filet were perfect. I had the Emitsburg it was a great choice. Dessert was cream brulee. Best we have had in years. Cat our waitress was lovely, attentive and explained exactly what the Emitsburg was since I had never had it before. We left full from our dinner out and full of joy since we have a new place to eat out special or just to drop in for a burger. Btw they even sang Happy Birthday to my wife.“

“Just ordered a late breakfast for carry out and it was my first time ever eating from El Rancho. My food was ready when they said and it was and still hot when I got it home and very delicious. I LOVE that they serve breakfast all day and my steak was perfect! I’d recommend this place to anyone!“

“So many tasty food options beyond the typical amusement park fried fare that we much preferred the comfort and ease of indoor buffet to the outside BBQ or the higher priced restaurants you see at most ski resorts. As crazy as it can be for a cafeteria or marketplace, the cooking staff actually seemed to care and take time and care in preparing the meals (e.g., quesadilla, grilled cheese, potato)! The only problem? Price... but of course, we are at a ski resort and it could be worse.“

“It’s been awhile since we were at this Applebees, but we will be back sooner! Had a great waiter Michael, very friendly, polite & he made sure our order was prepared the way we ordered it. Ordered burger well done & it came out with much to pink for me. He took it back & then told me they would prepare a new burger for me, instead of recooking it. Meal was hot & fresh & kept checking with us to see if we needed anything. Keep up the great work Michael - it is appreciated!!“

“The food is great and so is the service. It has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. You have to try the Cole Slaw. It is really very good and they make it there. I highly recommend it. Plenty to choose from with good prices and some of the best service you will find anywhere, hands down! Your nuts if you don't try it out!“

“Another great experience at The Ott House on 5/25/25!......food was awesome!.....Oyster sammich with 4 HUGE oysters.....New England clam Chowder.....cheeseburger plate. Our server, Lexi, was on top of everything. Obviously was not her first rodeo.😋 Keep up the good work!“

“Ann was our waitress, she brought us our drinks, took our order and never saw her again
(someone else brought us our food). Not one time did she ask if we needed anything or refill our drinks. When she did give us our check which we had to ask for, she said she would be right back, 10 minutes later she finally came back after my husband waved at her. Resturant was mildly busy but had plenty of waitresses.
Besides the service everything else was great.“

“My golf group (15 men) was at Carroll Valley Ski Liberty 9/14-9/26. On Sunday & Sunday we all ate dinner at Eagle and the Owl restaurant. I had Salmon entree on Sunday and Steak the next night. Both meals were very good and all the group members voiced similar views.

She was one of the best I have experienced over the past years of coming here. She really cares about your satisfaction and handled any and all requests, and made my group’s end of day meal very enjoyable. Hope management will pass on our feedback.“
