“What a wonderful place- totally unplanned and they accommodated three adults, two under 10, and a 100lb Newfoundland dog. Dog got treats and water- kids were offered paper, colored pencils, and crayons. Food was an amazing, staff- incredible. What an unexpected great experience.“

I called chef Stacy and the kitchen fired off more food for me on the spot and Chef Stacey delivered it to my office herself within 30 minute. The burgers were perfectly seasoned and cooked, the hot dogs nice and plump, the hand made chicken nuggies were the best ever, the salad was fresh and the price was very fair. “I made the reservation with open table to Firebirds. Very easy to do. Firebirds confirmed reservation and actually called to confirm number. Upon arriving we were seated and our waitress Sophia was very kind and attentive. Our food came out correct and very good. We were celebrating a birthday and we were in an area of restaurant that we were able to take our time and enjoy our meal and visit with our family. Very good meal, every one enjoyed!“

“I used Zipani Cafe to cater a small brunch I had at a local hotel, and my experience with them was excellent from start to finish. I worked with Renee to pick a menu and she was so helpful in giving me advice on what to choose and how much to order. She was prompt in answering emails and the whole process was so easy. She and the owner of the cafe delivered the food right on time to the hotel, and the bagels were so fresh they were still warm. They set up the food and drinks on the tables that the hotel provided. The bagels were amazing, as were the pastries and muffins. The coffee was hot and fresh. I highly recommend Zipani Cafe if you need catering. I have never been to the actual cafe, but the next time I'm in Frederick I will definitely be visiting to get their bagels. They are as good as ones you can get in New York City.“

I had the Thai salmon over veggies (spicy) with rice — perfectly cooked, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The crab wagons were crispy and addictive, the shrimp tempura light and golden, and the Neptune Feast, with its lightly sauced veggies and crab meat, shrimp, and scallops was absolute perfection. “Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.“

“We have gone a few times and always the food was amazing. My son always ask to go here. We went yesterday and the food was amazing as always except for one of the desserts that was very watery. The only thing we didn’t like was the service this time. The lady seems upset and didn’t seem to want to serve us. I even asked for which pie flavor was the best and her response was I don’t eat pie. Very sad this happened because its an amazing place. They just loss a customer.“

Service was slow to order a beer and desert was almost cancelled because of time and the glazing did not arrive with one of the deserts and getting a side cup never arrived. The waitress was new and very helpful and will get better with experience. The only disappointment was their Military Discount? They only allow 10% for "active" Military making one feel that veterans just don't qualify? And the 10% you receive is only on the members main meal. So for a $60.61 meal the discount was $1.49? I give the discount I receive back to the wait staff and left a $15.00 tip.“

Omelette was very good, potatoes very good and waffle and eggs also very good (amazing how many places can screw up a waffle and eggs). Even though we got there late wait staff was very friendly and made sure everything was good with us. Looking forward to our next visit. If we lived in the area would certainly be a regular!! “An amazing private club they have just about anything you want to do from karaoke to pool to darts even gambling machines. Food is amazing and the prices are good. Bartenders are great. Jess is amazing and on top of everything. Put my hands together for Paul for keeping such an amazing place. They have pool leagues on Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays Thursdays and Friday nights so come join us on the APA. There's only one downfall and that's the parking. During the weekday evenings it's very hard to find a parking place close to the establishment because of the new fitness club. But other than that it's a great place to go with a great atmosphere come join us.“

“Love the food and drinks and the entertainment. HOWEVER- we were there for Cliff Cody and it was a very hot day. Sat under the sail shade and still it was terribly hot. The management could really boost its comfort level for customers by simply installing either a misting fan system or a few fans on stands around the patio. It was so hot we could hardly concentrate on the entertainment and even though we had planned on staying longer and eating and drinking more, we had to leave long before we had planned, simply because of the heat.“
