“This was not a planned trip. 495 was backed up, so I went looking for an Hmart. Inside is this little gem, Momo's Bakery. I wish I would have done 2 things different. 1) Taken pictures. 2) Bought more!!

Oh my goodness gracious! I got the custard, strawberry cream and regular cream (vanilla). Should have bought more of everything. This place is not close to where I live, but if I am back in that area, I will stop again and definitely buy more.

“It's been a while since I've been in the United States and I finally ate at McDonald's. This is a small stall in a shopping mall and it looks pretty clean. I ordered French fries, chicken nuggets and a McChicken burger. The French fries are as delicious as ever, and the chicken nuggets are okay. The McChicken burger is not as delicious as the ones in Asia, but McDonald's is really cheap. You can buy it occasionally to satisfy your cravings. .“

My favorites were the mixed spread and dolma, as well as the sumac lemonade. Our server, Abdullah, was excellent! The whole dining experience was great from start to finish. Seems like the dish would have been better and more composed with warm crab. The salad on top didn't taste like much and didn't add anything other than texture to the dish. talked to the owner and they dial in the coffee every morning (aka make sure it's not bitter as all hell!) which takes 20-30 minutes every day?! i'm not a coffee drinker but when i saw all the syrups were housemade and heard him talk and recommend things to people in front of me i knew i had to see what makes their coffee so special and it IS special. the nuttiness and depth of the coffee here is sort of insane. it has the complexity of a dark chocolate where the fruitiness of the coffee begins to shine!

they even have a little shelf of trinkets with things people have brought them like my heart!!!

they let me customize a soda with tamarind and yuzu and that shit rockedddd. also heard they'll be doing seasonal specials soon (fig leaf syrup for fall?!?!). also mocha made w oat milk is so rare to find!

genuinely wished i lived in dc so i could come work here and vibe. u can also make music requests and the music taste is excellent.

“This is a great cocktail bar that also happens to have pretty good food! The only thing holding this review from being 5 stars is that the owner needs to assign more staff to the Saturday evening shift. There was 25-30 customers between 6:30 and 8pm on a Saturday, but only TWO employees working outside the kitchen. No host, no busser, no server. Just ONE waiter and ONE bartender during prime time dinner hours. The bartender was serving food instead of bartending and the waiter was frantically trying to take orders from 10+ tables. No one was bussing (dirty tables were left unattended until new customers arrived) and you had to find the waiter or bartender in order to get a seat. I hope the owner or manager sees this because I felt so bad for the two staff trying to run the front house of this restaurant on a Saturday night. They were doing their best and deserve more help so they can provide better service to customers.“

I had sent an email through their contact form which Laurie answered and gave me enough reason to bring my bike to Proteus. I brought my bike in this past Saturday. The first person that greeted me was Paul. He checked over my bike and let me know that my bike was really in great shape and made a few minor adjustments that he didn’t charge me for. He replaced my seat and clipless pedals with flat pedals. Literally everyone in that shop made me feel comfortable and welcome. Laurie, Jeff, Duncan, Andy, Paul, yall are amazing and made me feel at home. I live in DC, but Proteus is my go to bike shop now!“
