“Timber Kitchen & Bar is easily one of the best spots in Bangor. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, perfect for a night out or a casual meal. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and quick without making you feel rushed. The food is so good, everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully made. Their cocktails are delicious, and the menu has something for everyone. I’ve never had a bad dish here. Whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends, going on a date, or celebrating something special, Timber never disappoints. Highly recommend!”

“The food here NEVER disappoints, we’ve been a handful of times since moving to Bangor, but the bartender working tonight was so loud and obnoxious! She was yelling over the music (which wasn’t enough to warrant yelling) to chitchat with people dining at the bar. We could barely carry a conversation across the room, she was so disruptive. This is a small place, noise carries.

High marks because our actual server and food were great, but I’m pretty hesitant to come back simply due to the noise level.”

“We had a rehearsal dinner catered by Moe’s a little over a week ago on Saturday night of Memorial Day Weekend. The event was in Bar Harbor. The food was excellent and plentiful. We had ribs, mac and cheese, cornbread, chicken, cold slaw , dessert and more. The two servers were the BEST. Mackie and Cody were great! Extremely personable and friendly to everyone. I would order from Moe’s again wthout a doubt.”

“At Uno's in Bangor, ME yesterday (04/15/25)....My husband doesn't like the chunky sauce and likes the sauce on the bottom....my exact order was marina sauce (not chunky) and sauce on the bottom, no sauce on the top like a regular pizza ....my order WAS repeated back to me correctly. Great, see you in 25 minutes. How'd they do?? Sauce all over the top....it was marina but I specifically asked for the sauce to be on the bottom. Even the tag in the pizza box was correct. When I called them to complain as this is the SECOND time this has happened (first time we didn't call) the manager (who also made this pizza) made all kinds of excuses, this is how we do it, we don't make them with no sauce on the top, try calling in your order next time vs doing it online (this was a call in order not online), maybe explain it better next time, maybe tell them you want it made in the reverse order.... In the end, we still have this pizza, not guaranteed a refund and they've lost us as a customer!! $51 plus a $5 tip for this pizza & a gluten free. I just checked my bank account and I'm not seeing a charge yet so maybe she did refund after we hung up but not sure yet. Very poor customer service, especially by the manager!!”

“My first experience at Utopia was amazing! It was NYE and they were booked solid with reservations. We got there early and they were very kind and let us use a table, which I was not expecting. “We have been going to Coffee Express for years and when they got went up for sale we were worried we would lose our favorite place. However, when the building sold the new owners hands down have kept us loyal customers along with a safe place for our fur babies. They love your staff as much as we do. Jake has been one of one our favorites and the girl that made the pumpkin cold foam drink for the fall season is awesome. We love you guys. P.S. Ivee loves Eric! 🫣”

It was definitely correct! The nice woman (who I believe is the owner) takes your order and also cooks your food. Great personal service. We go there at least once a week now. Worth a stop for sure.”

“Wicked hot day, after shopping at 3 different places, we were tired and only slightly hungry. Sweet Frog was perfect for the 5 of us. Cool and light, the frozen yogurt with a couple of cherries and blueberries. Everyone got what they wanted and the light yogurt settled just right in the tummy!!”

I was always going there in the late 90's and I swear I have not found a burger nearly as good as they made, haven't been there since I got pinched in 98 for robbing the Bangor Savings Bank. I really enjoyed that place, the atmosphere was so "cool." But the burgers, trust me world, the most absolute best I have ever had, give them a try, you won't be disappointed, I promise you that!”

“This place is really a hidden gem, I have been in the food industry 18 years and I am kinda fussy when it comes to food. Well I am here to tell you the fried fish here has to be the best around. Not to mention the pizza is fantastic and a favorite of mine the poutine. Another popular item by the locals is “Lisa’s famous fried clams” those are also vary tasty. The staff is always friendly and the bar is always stocked. I definitely highly recommend.”

“Went to pick up food after they said it would be about 45 min no big deal got there and they said it was gonna be another hour after the 45 mins allready passed waiting in my vehicle for 45 min and went in and asked how close and the lady said yours is about to go in and I said it has been 2 and half hours I just wanted to know cause I had groceries in the car and I live 45 mins away. So she proceeded to tell me in her exact words “it’s not our fault the damn owner won’t shut us down in the middle of a snowstorm as well as it is just me as I am the store manager and one other person” well the other person heard her yelling at me and came out and said what’s going on ? And I said I wondering where our food is it’s been over two hours. He said look dude it is just us two and if you don’t like it leave and I was like I have waited foe over two hours and my food is made right there about to go in the over I’m not leaving !!! He now that I know is just the delivery driver told the manager to cancel my “******** order and kick him out and call the cops. And I said call the cops for what this is insane. And that’s what the manager did cancel my order and told me to leave. All because I was frustrated that it had been almost 2 and half hours and just wanted to know what was going on, but because they were short staffed they blamed it on me for asking. I called corporate as well as the franchise owner and no call back after 8 calls I will never in my life eat at another dominos after that.”

“The Main Tavern is an iconic pub in downtown Bangor. I particularly like the chicken wings with a glass of white wine. The service is fast and the ambiance is terrific. There is plenty of parking in back of the pub so you do not have to search for a parking space. There is a parking lot entrance on Main Street right beside the lit Hopeful Sign. This pub is the oldest family run business in Bangor. The Main Tavern maybe the oldest continuously run pub in the State of Maine. The patrons and owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. This is a "must do" stop on your way to Bar Harbor and to the coast. I am not much of a drinker but I like the people and the atmosphere. I definitely will be back soon. Thanks Debbie and Peter for always making us feel welcome. We appreciate you. “Although we had a reservation, it took three repetitions of our name for the hostess to find us. Not a positive start. Our server quickly made up for that (almost). She was competent, got our orders quickly and delivered them promptly. The food was also served timely and was good and hot when it arrived. My personal pizza was sort of dry, maybe over-cooked a bit. My daughter mentioned hers was as well. The others seemed satisfied that their food was okay, and it disappeared pretty quickly. The entire time, our server kept glasses filled and checked back frequently. The restaurant is not cozy. It's a big open place. Not too many tables were filled, so no interrupting nearby conversations. We will most likely go back. It is usually good food, but with Mother's Day, the kitchen may have had more to do so couldn't watch some of the food as well.”
