Briann got us started with beverages. Kabir reserved our food order and off we went to the great outdoor dining area.

“Surf was recommended as a place to try while we were in Portsmouth. It turned out to be a great choice. We arrived for an early dinner (5 pm) and were able to get a window table with a beautiful view of the harbor. My wife and I shared a house salad with sesame vinaigrette dressing, a bowl of clam chowder, and the roasted haddock with lobster mashed potatoes. Every dish exceeded our expectations. The roasted haddock really stood out- it was cooked perfectly with a butter/cornichon pan sauce and a surprising amount of lobster in the mashed potatoes. Our server did an excellent job. This restaurant is highly recommended. They do not take reservations.“

“Consistently the best. Inside seating at picnic type tables can get crowded in the summertime, but is a welcome spot in the chilly and changeable weather in the spring. Outside order window makes it convenient if you want to sit down outside and enjoy the ambiance of Perkins Cove.“

“This was our first time here in 8 years since it changed from Maxwell’s to Pepper’s. Maxwell’s was a place we visited frequently when in Ogunquit, and we even had my 50th birthday there. We were very apprehensive about going to Pepper’s, and we did not know what to expect! Wow and cool were the first 2 words I thought of when we entered! The place we came to know and love changed, but it was a great change with an awesome bar! Then, we had some drinks, an appetizer, and then our food came. All of it was great, and all the servers and bartenders are wonderful! We definitely recommend the Firecracker Shrimp and Calamari for appetizers, and the whole belly clams and teriyaki tuna for main courses! Everything was fresh and delicious! We are looking forward to our next trip to Ogunquit, and Pepper’s will definitely be on our dining list!“

“oh wow... what a find! We were looking for a seafood restaurant when passing thru the area and the name caught our attention. We had an amazing dinner! We both chose the seafood fettuccine, which was heavenly - incredible pasta and sauce topped with succulent seafood. Desserts were lavender creme brulee and white chocolate cake...Holy cow! Dinner and service were both top-notch.. and we can't wait to return!“

“Chauncey Creek is always excellent. Now that I live outside the US, I make sure to schedule my visits during the open season. The food (steamers and lobsters) was perfectly prepared and delicious. Even the sides (coleslaw, corn on the cob and onion rings) were amazing. The setting on Chauncey Creek, with a view toward Portsmouth Harbor really adds to to the ambience. And the stars are all super welcoming, efficient and friendly. This is our go-to destination for exceptional seafood in a classic, rustic setting.“

“I have been eating there for years. I went the other night because I was craving scallops. I got my usual scallops and tried to substitute o-rings for fries. The girl told me it wasn't allowed. No substitutions. I was willing to pay for the upgrade. No go. I live in the area and there are a lot of other options which I'll be trying.“

“The food was delicious the staff was kind and accommodating although it is labeled as handicapped accessible and that is a bit of a stretch, the supposed ramp out front is more of a sidewalk hill it’s very steep and took 2 of us to get my sons wheelchair up over the curbing and inside. Then they sat us outside on the patio which we were ok with except for the fact to get there we walked down the road to the end of the property to go through the fencing they had to remove the boards of the fencing to access and took 3 of us to push and pull at the same time to get into. It was extremely tight maneuvering to get settled comfortably at the table. (My sons an adult 34 yr old man) we did have a nice dinner once we got settled I just wish they’d had smoother handicap access if the wheelchair person was alone they wouldn’t be able to get in“

“Lazy Jack's is a charming and cozy restaurant that I would definitely return to. It's important to set your expectations accordingly, as they provide only paper plates, plastic cups, and plastic silverware. If you’re okay with that, I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Portsmouth. The ambiance is very pleasant, situated on the water with a lovely view of boats passing by. “This place is an absolute gem tucked away in York Village. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, and the staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I got the salmon bacon salad and the chicken and gravy and were blown away by both of them. The ingredients are incredible and fresh, meaning that not only does the food taste good, it makes you feel good! They also are extremely accommodating of dietary restrictions and care a lot about the health and safety of their customers! Their homemade ice cream sandwich for dessert was the cherry on top. Will absolutely be coming back and can’t recommend this place enough.“

Premium feel, great value, mini fridge, premium coffee maker, water pot, compost and recycling, new linen, brand new towels and blankets. Receptionist was polite, staff were cordial and warming. “Love this place, great Thai food with extremely friendly people working here. Big fan of their duck and beef noodle soups, they also have a special one going so check for that on FB page. Usually get drunken noodles also if even to eat next day. The appetizer platter is great as well. Also the Para garden is awesome if you like peanut sauce. Curries are very good as well. Haven't disliked anything actually. Thai ice teas great too!“

“First visit to this restaurant during previous visits the restaurant was always full (from a parking lot view).This time. Mid week in late October we decided to give it a try.
Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is definitely cozy and warm. The service was good and the food did not disappoint. They pride themselves in using local products and you can taste the difference.“
