“Wonderful old-school, Old-Maine place - "Lobsters in the Rough" like we used to have. Ambience - totally relaxed, right on the water. Food - Menu has good variety, the lobsters come in daily, cooked just right. The view across the river to Portsmouth is like no other, plus the river traffic and bridge openings, lobster boats, big ships, tugs, you name it. River breezes tend to keep things a little cooler. I'll be back.“

“Close your eyes and imagine a Maine Lobster Shack. Well, this is the place. There is very little parking plus some on street parking. You walk down a lot of steps (this place is NOT HC accessible) then you are at the lobster shack like you would imaging in Maine. There are two buildings painted in red that can be kind of confusing. Go to the shack on the left, pick your lobster from the tank, then pay at the other shed. Then choose a picnic bench by the water. A nice young lady will then bring you your delicious lobster and enjoy! It really is so Maine. I can't wait to go back!“

“Came in in a wintry Friday night, with wait about 30 minutes. We had the Portuguese stew, clam chowder, lobster Kristina. The food was tasty but not exceptional as far as seafood, though NE clam chowder was better than most I’ve had but this is New England so it should be! The ambiance and old town setting was remarkable although missed views of the harbor/water at night. The waitress was great, super friendly but not ever present - just right. Prices were a touch high but this is NH. Overall a lovely experience and recommend“

“Arriving we were met with friendly smiling hosts. We were offered inside or out but decided we didn’t need to wait for out when we could sit in the lounge which was basically open air (the wall opens onto the deck). Beautiful view of the river and tugs. Our waitress Mikayla (sp?) was super sweet and attentive. We never waited for a drink refill or to order more food. She was knowledgeable about the menu both food and drink. The food was amazing. Highly recommend the fish and chips and we ate our weight in oysters. Ten out of ten recommend ✌🏻❤️“

“oh wow... what a find! We were looking for a seafood restaurant when passing thru the area and the name caught our attention. We had an amazing dinner! We both chose the seafood fettuccine, which was heavenly - incredible pasta and sauce topped with succulent seafood. Desserts were lavender creme brulee and white chocolate cake...Holy cow! Dinner and service were both top-notch.. and we can't wait to return!“

“We looked at a lot of different restaurant options for dinner. I’m so glad we decided on Old Ferry Landing!!!! The food was fantastic!!! Drinks were summery and unique 🧉🍹 The lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had!!!! And there was a great amount of lobster meat in it. I tried a bite of my boyfriend’s clam chowder as well which was also delicious but the bisque was 🤤😍 We will definitely be back!!!! Our waitress was very attentive and so sweet!!! It was so nice to dine at a place that’s been around for 50 years. I hope Old Ferry Landing is around for 50 more!!! 🦞“

“Just a quick note from someone who never writes reviews. Sitting at The Beach Plum with my three kiddos and so impressed and grateful for the wonderful service we’ve received here. We had a tiny issue with one meal which was immediately acknowledged and fixed tenfold. Two members of the team checked on us several times after to make sure we were doing okay and then sent us home with an extra meal for later on the house. My kids learned a great lesson on wonderful and kind customer service and The Beach Plum will continue to be a favorite spot for us! Thank you!!“

“The cleanest hotel I have ever had!! perfect view, balcony and all. Premium feel, great value, mini fridge, premium coffee maker, water pot, compost and recycling, new linen, brand new towels and blankets. Receptionist was polite, staff were cordial and warming. We had car trouble, and the manager was willing to notify police, asking them not to tow our vehicle in case we could not get it towed to a mechanic until the next day. That is hospitality! We will be back!“

“Very belated review - I was in Maine with friends for a wedding in Oct of 2024. None of us are from coastal areas, so we were excited to try some seafood that would be fresh and this little place was one of our stops!

I don't remember what everyone else ordered, nor can I speak for them - but I got their coconut shrimp and was AMAZED! They were by far, the most delicious shrimp I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection, breaded just right, and melted in my mouth. If you have the chance to try them - please do! I live across the country and still think about them and wish I could get more.“
