“This place is a MUST! Over the week we have been in Bar Harbor we have ate at A LOT of places, Tap & Barrel is hands the best meal I’ve had here by a long shot. Marina was super knowledgeable and gave 15/10 service! You will not regret stopping here and grabbing a bite to eat or even just some drinks!“

“Tucked away just off the main road is the most incredible Mexican takeout I have ever had!! If you're on Route 1 (Gouldsboro area) definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed.“
“We were here on vacation from Indiana and loved the atmosphere! Happy hour oysters and drinks were awesome (the gin blueberry special drink is great). Staff was very nice, Skylar and Amy (Aimee) were very friendly and knowledgeable.“

“We had the Pot Roast breakfast meal today and it was amazing - so tender, flavorful and a unique combination of components for a memorable and hardy breakfast...lunch did not happen! Thanks so much for that, along with great service, and staying open longer than the tourists come. See you soon!“

“It was our first day in Bar Harbor and we chose Galyn’s for dinner. It was delicious. We sat on their front porch overlooking the harbor. The food was great and our waitress was so nice; very pleasant. We had the stuffed crab mushrooms, haddock sandwiches and blueberry crisp-a la mode for dessert. Yummy.“

“10/10 - service, food and beverages - amazing! Stopped in during a visit to bar harbor this past weekend and were well taken care of by the staff who provided great food and beverage recommendations, also attentive with the service! Be sure to try the blue corn chips and if you like spice - try the hot salsa!“

“We went to the Pickled Wrinkle for the first time last night. The service was outstanding. The food was amazing. Cool local restaurant in an epic area. Can’t say enough good things about our experience! We live just down the road and can’t wait to go back!“

“July 2026. We stopped in for two cocktails and lunch. Cocktails were very good and not short on alcohol. Sat outside along sidewalk, and the view was great. Service was professional, right down to uniformed wait staff, commensurate with a five star joint. We shared the corned beef Ruben which was excellent. Shaved thin, fat attached, with an excellent horseradish mustard dressing. Excellent spiced, but not spicy, fries.“

“Cute spot in town with very reasonable prices and portion sizes for the area. The blackened fried haddock sandwich was phenomenal and so filling! The side salad was quite overdressed, so I would ask for dressing on the side next time. We also had the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were ok, and my friend had the wings which were decent as well. The wings are fried and seasoned but not sauced. If you’re wanting saucy wings you can get Frank’s on the side. The server was so sweet and attentive and we really enjoyed the vibe of the place overall. I will be back if I’m in the area!“

“Overall very solid. Came here on the recommendation of a local for the lobster stew/bisque. Admittedly not certain of the difference but here it seems to bend towards stew. It was very good but I tend to like mine creamier. The pork belly sliders were good not great. The service was friendly and attentive. Drinks were good. Value was fair, a little on the expensive side but it’s Bar Harbor in summer.“

“Definitely on the more expensive side for the area but the food was delicious. Lunch for four on a weekday and it was incredibly quiet—probably no more than five groups were there the whole time. We ordered a set of garlic knots, two pastas, a seafood scampi, and a simply massive lobster roll. It was out in a timely manner and the food was piping hot. My scampi had full lobster claw meat and several huge shrimp. The service was great, although note that this was a quiet lunch, not a Friday night dinner.“

“We ate at Pats last night and had such a great evening. We had Kernel as our service and he was wonderful, even gave us some great family advice. The pizza was great and the garlic knots were even better! It was the perfect place to let loose and enjoy with the kids! Thanks Pats and super thanks Kernel!“

“Kinda pricey but nothing surprising for Bar Harbor. Service was unfortunately a bit mediocre. It was hard for me to get any server's attention. There was no one behind the bar when I went up to order, and it took me a while to find a server when I wanted to add something to my order. Still had a good time, but I certainly wasn't blown away.“
