“Such a cool, historic spot in downtown Detroit! The architecture is amazing, and the food matches the vibe. We tried the chicken and waffles, Grand Pub burger, and the corned beef sandwich. Everything was so good and cooked perfectly. Will absolutely be back!“

“This is a nice place. I didn't order much food only spinach dip and bang bang shrimp. Those were delicious! I didn't care for the spinach dip. My drink was strong and tasty. A strawberry long Island ice tea. And yes I've had weak ones.“

“We held a 50th birthday party for our daughter in the private room last Saturday evening. The service and the food was extraordinary. We had 50 attendees that included old and not so old. The banquet items were outstanding and the chef did a marvelous job of preparation and presentation. Passed appetizers were a hit with everyone. (I particularly liked the crab cakes) Sheila, Yen, Rex, and Kat provided the beverage service and passed the appetizers and drink orders with smiles and efficiency. While we didn't see much of the kitchen staff, Gil, Emeka, Chaona, and Aaron provided culinary treats that had all the attendees marveling at the variety and taste. And most helpful were Joanna and Paul, the proprietors. Thank you Common Pub for a most memorable evening and event!“
“Fantastic beer coming out of the east side of the state! Watch out west side breweries. Great beer selection wirh brews that a consistent and varied. The IPAs are tasty and hoppy while the porters are robust and warming in the cooler months. Big, big fan of Elephant Juice and Sweater Weather - this combination covers my whole year. The brewery is a nice space, funky and welcoming. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, can't go wrong here.“
“Friendly environment, good crowd and most of all ice cold beer. Thanks for having the fight.“

“Great service. Great food. We had the sausage/cheese platter, and their pretzels. Pretty tolerant of two Kentucky boys who hit the beer pretty hard the two nights we dropped in. The place had a good crowd both nights. Nice little pub. If I'm ever up that way again, it'll be one of my first stops.“

“What a place! Came here on a Monday (when they'd opened specifically for an LFC match) and was blown away by the hospitality - Irish coffees and HT pizza anyone? - and the kindness shown to me by Jet (hope I've spelled tha right) who was running the place and assorted legends partaking in the match / beer / whisky. They even gave me a Detroit LFC supporters scarf which I'll be sure to take to Anfield when I next go. Super fun and lovely people - thank you!“

“Clean, welcoming and cold beer. You could call it a hole in the wall, but it's more than that when you step inside. Your welcomed by everyone in the bar and you'll definitely feel at home after just a few minutes...few places like this place.“

“We started off with the chicken wings they wer good. The chilli and lime shrimp was good. It does have some spice. Portion could be bigger. Could have a couple more shrimp or a little more rice. The burger was good. Squash was good plamento cheese does have some spice but I do like spice. Over all the flavor of everything was good.“

“This spot is AWESOME! Stopped in for breakfast and it was delicious. Our waitress went above and beyond. She even helped us get a spot out of white pants AND gave us a sweater to wrap around her waist to hide the spot if it didn’t come out. Just the nicest people!!“

“Dominque was great. She was making the experience very joyful because she is a kind soul. Always knowing what I needed or wanted before I even knew! She had great recommendations and made us feel very comfortable. And Tony was just as wonderful as well!“

“The place itself can be very mild or very wild, it just depends on the night and how it goes, that being said, dont be the guy who gets too hyper and is spilling people's drinks everywhere by acting crazy.
Drinks are minimum of $10 unless you get a beer which is not much less
Music is good but only on the second and sometimes 3rd floor, but thats just personal preference.
I wish they had better central A/C Because it gets way too hot“

“If you're looking for a great dive bar experience in Detroit, The Detroiter is the place to go and the bartender (Alvin) is a big reason why. He's friendly, welcoming, and knows the city inside and out. Whether you're a local or visiting for the first time, he's always happy to recommend the best places to check out, from must-see attractions to hidden gems you might otherwise miss.
The drinks are consistently great, the atmosphere is laid back, and the service makes you feel right at home. It's the kind of place where you stop in for one drink and end up staying because of the great conversation and genuine hospitality. If you're in Detroit, don't miss The Detroiter!“
