The environment is laid back, easy & chill. And the view is spectacular on Michigan Ave. Grabbing a seat at the bar—no problem! You’ll be dazzled by the large selection of craft cocktails—that’s a view in it self! It tends to get crowded quick, so calling ahead or beating the crown is suggested but it’s sooo worth it. The food is amazing--the chicken sandwich is the best you'll ever have in your lifetime. Don't leave without trying the tea. What a presentation! “A group of us made the quick walk over to Townhouse from the convention center. We were given the option to sit right away or wait a few minutes for a table to be cleared in the atrium. So glad we chose to wait. The atrium is beautiful! Our server, Diego, was fantastic and all his recommendations were hits at the table! He also was diligent about checking with the kitchen to ensure those in our parties with allergies/sensitivities were good with their food choices.“

I wish I could remember our servers name, but she was absolutely stellar! She was super friendly, funny and quick despite having a large section on a busy night. Got the shrimp tacos (AMAZING and filling - has a perfect amount of “kick”) and my husband got the hot chicken sandwich (the one small bite I was allowed was phenomenal) overall 10/10 experience!“

“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! “I had an incredible dining experience at Highlands Detroit, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. The restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Detroit skyline, which made the evening even more memorable. I ordered a steak along with a seasonal side, and everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were outstanding, the presentation was elegant, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out.

The service was just as impressive. The staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making sure every detail of the meal was taken care of without feeling rushed.

My tip is to make a reservation in advance and request a window table if possible. Arriving a little before sunset is well worth it so you can enjoy both the daytime views and the city lights after dark.

“New menu was amazing. We had the potatoes, the scallops, burrata, and mushroom with shiitake dish. Burrata was hands down my favorite, thing. Perfect combination!! Highly recommend everything I got and the service was perfect, I mean like I finished my water and by the time my glass hit the table it was refilled. This was actually my second time, I’ve been before for a friends birthday and we had a different menu…..the pomegranate ribs were mouthwatering delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere inside, I personally love plants and that’s the first thing you notice when you walk in the door. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!“

A lot of restaurants downtown were either closed or had long waits, so I decided to give Vicente’s a try and I’m glad I did.
