“My husband and I saw a review of Sicily's, and wanted to try it. It did not disappoint! We got the deep dish, and an order of meatballs, for take-out. It was an hour drive to get home. I had a bite of it while it was cold, and it was super good! I put the rest of the piece in the air fryer, and it was amazing. The sauce is fresh tasting, and the crust was crispy on the bottom, and chewy in the middle. The cheese on the edge was slightly brown, and crisp, just the way I like it. This was absolutely the BEST pizza I've ever had, and I've had a lot in my almost 65 years! Meatballs? Another best ever! Tender and so much flavor, with a good amount of marinara, so that every last meatball has as much as you could want. It was DEFINITELY worth the trip, and well worth the money! I would be in so much trouble if I lived closer, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! And to top it off, the Chef/Manager was SO nice and friendly! We had a very nice chat with him about the sourdough, and the restaurant, and how much he loves what he does. And you can tell! I highly recommend trying this place, they are about 1 block off of the freeway, and easy to get to.“

“Tonight I attended a wedding at C & G and could not be more impressed, and also pissed at myself for not patronizing this welcoming restaurant sooner. I’m lactose intolerant and allergic to chicken. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. “My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.“

What made the experience even better was that the worker suggested the substitution in a non-pushy, helpful manner which aided the problem-solving portion of my ordering. “Checked out Eastern Market Brewing Company tonight, and I get why people talk about this place. It’s right in the heart of Eastern Market and has a great lineup of beers — enough options for everyone, whether you’re into IPAs or just want something easy to drink .

I grabbed a flight so I could pretend I’m a beer expert. I’m not, but the dark beer was smoother than I expected and the lager was the kind of crisp you want after a long week. The space itself feels laid back — good seating, and you can still catch whatever game is on without feeling like you’re in a packed sports bar.

Service was friendly, crowd was chill, and it’s the kind of spot where you could make this your go-to without even trying. Detroit beer, no pressure, good energy.

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“
