I've worked in restaurants for about 10 years now and I know things can get frustrating during dinner rushes. But being the owner of the restaurant and treating your employees so poorly while you have customers trying to eat isn't ideal. I watched this guy yell at all his cooks and servers. Also was rude to a server about a chair when they didn't know said chair wasn't allowed in the outside seating area. I really hope this manager takes the extra steps to pull people aside and be discreet when addressing something instead of causing a scene like we saw tonight. Other then that, we enjoyed this restaurant and the food!“

“This is my daughter's and my favorite restaurant when we meet up in Lansing. We've never experienced anything less than delicious food. The staff is courteous and it's a busy but fun atmosphere. Highly recommend! 5/5 stars!“

“Took my wife here on a lunch date. The food was in my opinion delicious. Was only $20 for both of us. I thought it was priced very reasonable I would have paid more actually. Service was great. Not sure why this place wasn't packed on a Saturday. I made sure my tip reflected the food and service.“

Although this Big Boy has done well at maintaining the classic diner atmosphere. There's plenty of room in between the new clean tables and chairs, the floor was clean, and service was great.
Food came out somewhat quick, it looked great, I got Cinnamon French Toast with sausage links and it was really decent, everything was fully cooked.
I was checked on multiple times throughout my meal.
Overall the eating area is much smaller than a typical Big Boy, and there is no salad bar or buffet, but they do have color televisions and a drive thru, so there's that.“

“I had the best meal at Buddies today! We were dining with 9 people and our server was on top of everything! Never forgot a single request, was quick with clearing our table, bringing more drinks and remembering extras. I got a chicken taco salad and said “this is the best taco salad I have ever eaten” maybe I was starving - or maybe it really was the best taco salad I have ever eaten - you be the judge! They also have a kid/senior menu (how smart to offer this to seniors too) and all the meals come with vanilla ice cream - but get this, you can upgrade it to moose tracks for a dollar - I AM OUTTTT.

Arcade machines and pinball throughout the multi-level venue. We tried the Vegan Green Curry Ramen and fried veggies. Exceeded expectations and a worthwhile destination if you looking for a good meal. Great atmosphere to hang out, play pool, have a drink, play pinball or classic arcade machines.“

“Visited last nite for the first time. Met friends who came over from Laingsburg and we came from Lansing. My hubby loves gizzards. They were the first thing he saw on the menu. Thats all he needed to see. They were excellent. I had the southwest eggrolls. Loved em. We will be a more regular customer. Its a short drive and worth every mile. “A great place to go for a drink and some fabulous food. Visiting family in Mason and decided to take the whole crew. Great variety of drinks with some locally produced options as well. Everyone devoured their food - appetizers of Mozzarella Cheese stick and delicious Steak bites!!! Definitely recommend. Early dinners of Chef Salad (huge and loaded with ham &turkey), great variety of grinders, special of day soup - Pepperjack crab and half sandwich - excellent, Burger was ordered medium rare and was perfectly cooked with side of sweet potato fries (yum) and the kids loved their Mac & cheese, corn dogs and fries.
Can sit outside on the patio if noise is a problem (what bar/dining establishment isn't loud at times) BUT food, service and friendly atmosphere more than makes up for that!
