DQ serves up the typical soft-serve ice cream, thick blended shakes, and ice cream with more cookies in it than the cookie aisle at Meijer. You'll find this outpost well-staffed by happy teenagers harried somewhat by the pace and popularity of their franchise. I've heard it not-jokingly said DQ is the most profitable business in the city, and that may be borne out seeing what it was valued at on Zillow.That said, spare yourself the agony and order ahead or go in person after walking up from one of the municipal lots on 12 Mile. The traffic backups on weekends or Friday night going eastbound on 12 Mile are *horrific*, and there's always one entitled yahoo who blocks both lanes of traffic trying to get through. Going into the shop is mildly more controlled. Traffic being snarled and teenagers on bikes completely oblivious to the risk, or bad drivers shoving their ways in, just make for a definite headache.That said, you'll get your order usually correct and made with skill and enthusiasm by the hard-working staff. They manage ENORMOUS volumes with a lot of dignity, probably collapsing into the freezer in exhaustion when the last swirl cone leaves at the end of the day.Sadly this is NOT a brazier and it's not open during low-volume winter months.“

The shake is delicious, as always, way better then any other place, but the customer service is unmatched. So happy I went back!! If you know any hard workers send them there, because they are hiring and need more great ppl working there like the manager!!Just an FYI, the prices have definitely gone up. I usually pay about $6.88 for a small dulce de leche shake from here. Today it cost $8.96 so this is the last time I'll buy a milkshake from them. Shake shake it is for me.“

“I usually get a medium chocolate ice cream on a cone and that is plenty. Their team works fast and gets through lines so you're not waiting long. If there is no line, your order may be done before you've paid. I'm never satisfied with the sweet treats here.“

“I have eaten at Aahar Restaurant and Kwality ice cream several times since they have opened and I’ve decided to write a review as I really like the food there. The community of Troy and Rochester hills was missing a good Authentic Indian Restaurant and I’m so glad to write this review as we finally have one right here in our neck of the woods. Both the food and the service is amazing here. I have tried them all at Aahar—take outs, A la carte, weekend buffets and their weekday thali. The food is very delicious and authentic, and tastes just like home made food. Their evening snacks and desserts are delectable. Both the Vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are astounding. They care both about the quality of the food and customer satisfaction. The pricing is decent and quantities are fulfilling. Most importantly, the food doesn’t make you feel sluggish which is a reflection of the quality of ingredients that are being used. I will definitely be a regular customer here.

“I was really Bumbed out when I went in on Sunday@,Aug 18th on National Ice Cream Pie Day and they had NO ice cream Pies ready and said it would take 15 min to make and then it has to Freeze. When i explained to Julianna (the Manager) that I needed a pie for my "Celebrate Everyday with Amazing Kay" Podcast and I could not wait hours...she agreed to make me a pie right then but said it wouldn't be frozen.

The owner was super nice and patient as I took FOREVER to decide what I wanted! The ice-cream was really good with fresh strawberries.
