“Upon entering the establishment I was greeted by the young lady?. There was a regular customer whom conversed with me about his favorite. The cookies are a nice size and delicious. The decor is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend and we must support our own people and Community ,keep our money in the neighborhood . The prices are good. Good Cookie be prosperous and thank you.“
“Service is always fantastic. The owner is a sweetheart who takes pride in the quality of products and the overall establishment. Great coffee and drinks. Wide variety of pastries and goodies. Overall very chill atmosphere and great community spot.“
“I cannot believe it took me so long to discover this not-so-hidden jewel, which is only minutes away from my home. My husband and I ditched our normal Saturday brunch to drop in on Detroit Sip. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Detroit Sip's vibe is like a warm, neighborly hug. The decor is whimsical and inviting. My caramel latte and cheese Danish were very goodMy husband also enjoyed his dark roast and muffin. We'll be back, in fact I tried to return the following Tuesday morning. Guess I should have paid attention to the hours listed.“
“This is definitely an establishment you don't want to miss out on visiting. Their service is always impeccable and friendly and very welcoming. Their pastries are amazing, their coffee and the ambiance is beautiful. It gives you all the warm and cozy feels of visiting your favorite grandma. ✨ I would highly recommend visiting this establishment it's great for business, meeting up with friends, and they also allow you to rent out the space for private events!“
“The first callout I have to make is I absolutely LOVE the diversity of choices in this menu. They have so much more unique options than your standard coffee shop and all of them are so different. Their menu represents so many countries and regions, including Moroccan, Hong Kong, Brazilian, Spanish, Viennese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Sudanese, etc. This is a place that you can just keep coming back to and try completely different flavors and styles of coffee and tea with every visit and I really appreciate that. They also have small snack options, with my favorite being the Nutella taiayaki. This was a pleasant surprise for me since I'm generally not the biggest fan of classic red bean taiyaki. I ended up ordering the Brazilian style latte and my girlfriend got the London fog. We both loved our drinks and would definitely return to try others. As for the space, it's certainly not what I expected but I really liked the concept. Meillie Coffee is just one of a few vendors who all share a really large space (with TONS of seating). They also have sandwiches and ice cream available at the other vendors, so you can probably come here in the morning and end up spending enough time working until you want lunch from the other vendor as well.“
“everything about The Fern is perfection - the owner is friendly and helpful, she's always supportive of everyone and genuinely builds connections.the teas are DELICIOUS - i have never had a bad one. and the coffee? it's WONDERFUL. the dark chocolate hazelnut latte is my absolute favorite.“
“I had been going to Birmingham Roast for years before Royal Oak Roast opened, and it is just as amazing as the original. Drinks are incredible (though the “Joy” drinks are pretty sweet, I always order half sweet), the breakfast burrito is a must try, as is the açaí bowl. They constantly have new “seasonal” menu items which is great for regulars to get something new to try. This will forever be my favorite coffee shop in the metro Detroit area!!“
“This is our second order from them. I've been meal prepping for years, but that takes time. Plus I get sick of the same thing for 5 days. I've tried almost all the mail subscription meals and I honestly like these the best. The protein content meets my nutritional goals and the meals are actually really tasty. It's kind of hard to believe a carbonara lasagna or steak and poutine fit my goals but they somehow do. My favorite part is that I don't need a subscription. I can order whenever life gets busy. Plus, if you don't order you can always get the frozen options.“
“This is my favourite spot for anything cheese and desserts. I met the owner during one of my visits. She talks and walks this lifestyle and is incredibly passionate in her craft which speaks to the amazing quality and creativity of her products and the restaurant itself!!“
“Simple, but fun. Light atmosphere. Not your traditional “Troy” vibe. Love it! Sorry it took me so long to come.I’m stuck on the salmon croissant, and I have yet to have even an even average cup of coffee. If you’re into Matcha, you will thank me later!“
“This place is amazing. Great coffee. Great food. Great bakery items. Most coffee shops have those things though. What truly set this place apart was the incredible service I (and others) received while in store. Angelina helped me out and provided some of the best service I've ever gotten in my life. The other employee who helped the people in front of me was extremely helpful figuring out what drinks would be best for a couple who was in for their first time and weren't sure what to get. All around a great experience.“
“All I can say is WOW!! What an absolute gem in downtown Royal Oak. The service was exceptional and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Amber, who is an absolute sweetheart. The cinnamon bun smoothie, and the soup that I ordered were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be a repeating customer after this amazing first visit.“
“Five15 is the best drag bar/restaurant in metro Detroit. Ask for Cookie or Brian to be your server, they are exceptional. If you are a fan of the TV show RuPaul's Drag Race, this is the place to go in metro Detroit. They book many of the drag queen contestants to perform in their Brunch shows.Parking: Parking in Royal Oak is free on Sundays and holidays. On all other days you have to pay from 11am-midnight. I'd recommend the Parking garages, as they let you park for the first two hours for free before having to pay.“
“Placed an order online and the website was having an issue which I did not realize until I showed up to pick up my lunch. They were super friendly and (apologetic - which was not necessary) and made my food super fast. Loved the customer service in making it right and being so so friendly. Food is really good too, but the service will make me come back again and again!“
“Great sandwiches, fresh salad, sad GFS ranch. That’s the only negative, though. Everything was delivered fresh and on time through EZ Cater. I love that they use Boar’s Head meats and cheeses and their prices are very fair. If they upgrade their dressings, I’ll give them 5 stars! Very friendly, great for both small and large groups. Will order again.“
“The Chocolate Gallery Cafe has been in my list of restaurants to try for a long time and had the opportunity with relatives visiting. Everyone in our party commented on how excellent their meal was. I had the kielbasa and cheddar omelette and it was bigger than the picture suggests. It was fantastic as were the home fries. In addition to their regular menu, they have a large variety of specials. Capping off the wonderful meal, our server was unbelievably friendly and constantly available. I would highly recommend.“
“We tried this bakery/cafe and the food was wonderful. I had a combo with chicken salad and slightly spicy tomato basil soup on the best grain bread and a delightful cinnamon oatmeal cookie. I could eat this every day and not get tired of it. I'll be in there every time I'm in the area to try different things, but I'm sure most of the time it will be chicken salad and tomato basil. Yum yum and yum!“
“i love coffee so I’m pretty picky with where I go for coffee! I had the kuppa joy and latte (both with oat milk) and they were absolutely perfect! Highly recommend this over any Starbucks. Staff was friendly, environment was chill. Can’t wait to come back!“
“Loved everything about this tearoom. I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy high tea in the English countryside and at tearooms as storied as the Empress in Victoria, and this was as lovely an experience as I’ve had anywhere. The pride of ownership is abundantly clear, and the service was stellar. Down to the individual place settings, every detail of tea was well attended to. The food was delicious and the portions easily four times that of other tearooms I’ve been to… and the quality did not suffer as a result of quantity.I’ll certainly recommend this place to others and plan to return the next time I’m in the Detroit area. Thank you for a wonderful time!“
“We have been ordering Chinese cakes from this bakery ever since we found out about this gem. This bakery does a wonderful job and uses fresh fruit on all their cakes. They are very generous with their fruits and the cakes are the perfect amount of sweetness. The price is also fair. I highly recommend this bakery for those who are looking for a trusted store to fulfill their cake orders.“
“Great place to start your day with a cup of a delicious coffee! Latte with an extra shot of espresso was delicious! Service is excellent, fast and friendly! location is quite spacious and usually not too crowded inside. Drive through was recently opened.“
“My 3 friends and I came in on a busy taco Tuesday night and all of our food was so delicious and came out so fast!! This is definitely a place we’ll be coming back to for sure, especially for it being our first time eating here. Shout out to the owner and staff they’re amazing and I’d rate the food and service a defiant 1000/10.“
“Wow haven't been here in a long time ! Very busy on early Sunday afternoon. Didn't wait long. Shared a Mexican and Greek omelette. Both were quite good. Loaded with all the ingredients. Hub of activity, with waitresses, bus people, etc flying by. Per getting more normal, when you go to pay bill - the smallest sign tells you 4 percent extra for a credit card payment.“
“My cousin is a regular here and this was my first time here. This is a fantastic little shop. Their menu is extensive but filled with great things. They also operate as a snack and liquor shop with specialty items. The food I had was well made and the service is friendly. You can really see that the locals love this place and come here often. It's a place that is definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.“
“Great people, staff, and overall experience. Food is great and consistent. Coffee is great. Queer atmosphere that keeps me coming back.Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendlyParking: There is parking behind the buildingWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and parking, although space is small and limited.“
“Came here for brunch with a group of friends and we had a great time. I ordered the blueberry Ricotta pancakes with lemon curd, potatoes, jalapeno polenta, and Earl Grey tea. The pancakes were so delicious, you didn't even need syrup. The potatoes were cooked well, but could have used more seasoning. The polenta was creamy and flavorful. My tea was enjoyable and tasted like high quality Earl Grey. The only negative is the customer service could have been better. The waiters weren't very attentive or personable. We found ourselves having to flag them down or get up and find a staff person if we wanted something. Could have just been an off day though. Totally coming back. This is an awesome place for brunch.“
“Umai cafe is the perfect spot for lunch after a winter hike. The cafe is clean & cozy and the staff were very kind. The food was good and the chocolate avocado smoothie was decadent. The miso soup and potato salad taste fresh. The cafe has a projector to play video clips and gentle music to create a pleasant atmosphere. The cafe is tucked into the corner of a strip mall, and is situated next to a fitness studio that unfortunately has no soundproofing so for a portion of our visit the loud noise had a negative impact on the experience.I look forward to visiting again and love that there is a local spot for avocado smoothies and fresh onigiri.“
“Le Crepe is always amazing! The staff are attentive and the crepes are fresh every time. They’re stuffed with tasty goodness and will have you wanting more; I haven’t ever had a crepe that I didn’t like from here. It’s far from where I live, but it’s worth the drive to support a small business!“
“Went here with my bro first time and it was great experience chill spot. The drink tasted like chocolate heaven. I went with my husband there the 2nd time it had egg smell and overally crowded they changed everything inside. Still good place to go if you don't mind crowd & waiting for a while.“
“My friend and I stopped in for a relaxing coffee moment while another friend shopped next door at Aritzia. The latte and almond croissant were top notch - as was the people watching! The aesthetic of the cafe is relaxed and on trend. I would recommend this cute cafe for a pick me up while shopping at Somerset!“
“Love seeing a Caribou back in our neighborhood. The coffee is and will always be the best I've ever tasted from a corporate chain. The service at this location is fantastic, all the baristas are super helpful and super friendly, and every drink I've had has been super tasty. Definitely recommend!!Dietary restrictions: Got all the milks available!“
“I had the pleasure of discovering this charming café today: it was truly delightful! From the moment that I walked in, Madeline's kind hospitality made me feel right at home. Not only did she kindly offer to warm up my croissant, but she also went the extra mile to check that it was heated to the right temperature—perfection! Speaking of perfection, the pistachio croissant was simply divine. Paired with a heavenly chai latte that boasted just the right amount of spice, it was a match made in culinary heaven. Plus, the seamless access to reliable Wi-Fi made it the ideal spot for catching up on work or simply enjoying a moment of relaxation. With ample seating and the perfect ambiance, the café struck the perfect balance of cozy, yet vibrant. Parking was easy and convenient. Needless to say, I'm already planning my next visit to experience this slice of café paradise again.Dietary restrictions: There were alternative milks for all diets.“
“Awesome service. The best food I’ve had in along time! Everything was freshly made and the cook hand picked the vegetables from his garden. I haven’t had an omelette that tasted so good from a restaurant other than this!I would 1000% recommend Drakes Cafe (near hall and mound area) to anyone looking for an excellent and homemade breakfast at Drakes Cafe!!Vegetarian options: Veto friendlyKid-friendliness: The waitresses are so good with Benny and take care of him first if he’s fussy :)Wheelchair accessibility: Danny makes accommodations for anyone in his restaurant.“
“Stopped by today for a quick sit down with a latte. I ordered a lavender oatmilk latte and a slice of pound cake warmed up. The latte was good, very flavorful and sweet. A bit foamy though. The pound cake was truthfully very bland, it was pretty dry and flavorless. The icing was even pretty hard to taste. The atmosphere is nice, plenty of greenery and unique nic-nacs. However, this cafe is advertised as a gallery as well. There were no paintings or photos or anything up which was disappointing. The service was great! The barista Kattia was super friendly and bubbly. She offered to warm up the pound cake, very sweet. I more than likely would only stop by again if I’m on this side of town specifically, but I probably wouldn’t make a trip for it.Parking: Parking right out front!“
“I haven’t been to this bakery in years, and I noticed that it seems to have adopted a more corporate style compared to its previous, more personal atmosphere. It’s still nice, but I don’t feel the same sense of attachment to this place as I did before. So sad. Also, quite pricey, a smoked salmon sandwich cost $17.“
“Bismillah Restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience with its rich blend of flavors. Friendly staff create a welcoming atmosphere. Standouts include the aromatic biryani and flavorful kebabs. Overall, a satisfying dining destination for those seeking authentic Bangladeshi cuisine.“
“Every location is fantastic, but shout out to the busy yet patient employees at the Ferndale location today who pulled a combined 40 oz of espresso for me and the woman in front of me who are making tiramisu for Christmas. The coffee is always fantastic, and it's a great place to chill and do some work, too, especially the West Village and Jefferson Greenway locations (I assume the Midtown spot, too, but I haven't been in yet).“
“A dreamy escape for cold winter weekend days! I feel so psyched to have FINALLY sauntered into this little slice of heaven that has been on my collections list forever. I'm so excited about it that I'm having a time finding the right words to properly describe it. First, let me say that another patron sort of admonished me for taking pictures to share here. Apparently, she doesn't want newbies to come ruin her secret hideaway. Well, sorry, I must Yelp about this magical book-filled vintage-themed coffee house. Admittedly, I sort of understand why she wouldn't want lots of people piling in on a given Saturday or Sunday. The shop is very low-key, quiet, and highly vibrational. Loud unintentional folk would definitely ruin the vibe. But other like-minded souls would adore the place and hold its sacredness. Walking in, you're definitely not expecting what you'll find. I felt like little fairies took my hand and led me to a magical eutopia hidden in the woods. The lighting and decorations gave me Harry Potter vibes. There were butterflies, bikes, and other whimsical things flying through the air. No, literally, chairs and other decorations hanging from the ceiling! It's a book lover's paradise. There are tons of titles stacked and shelved all over. There are lots of trinkets and tchotchkes for sale. You can find unique gift items here or find something special for yourself. While touring the place, I looked around at the seating, there's a counter seating area and a few tables. However, I saw my sweet spot as soon as I walked in...a comfy colorful sofa in front of a faux fireplace with books and pillows surrounding it. There are lots of treats for purchase. I chose pound cake. It was so light and moist, I gobbled it down with an almond milk caramel latte. HEAVEN! I took a slice of lemon pound cake to-go. I can't wait to go back and visit. Next weekend looks good.“

“Left the Sabres vs. Red Wings game. Searched Google for Black owned restaurants nearby. BOOM! This was the first one with good ratings for me to say, "I could do with some breakfast right about now."ALWAYS order the Waffles 'n Flight. You will not regret it.Vegetarian options: Just ask.Dietary restrictions: You must TELL THEM.Parking: Along the side.Kid-friendliness: You da parent. Control yo chillun! I ain't yo Daddy.“
“Great food, friendly staff. Always busy. Good food is worth the wait. Cook goes above and beyond to make sure you get your dish the way you want. If they make a mistake, they fix it. Really enjoy their hamburgers!Styrofoam melts when very hot food is on it and it affects the taste of food. Can you please put tinfoil or parchment paper under it? (Example: biscuits and gravy, ff with chili and cheese)Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly dishes.Parking: Parking lot always has available spots.“
“Seated quickly in a very crowded dinning area w/smallish tables. Order was promptly taken. All food was ok, though not hot. I had the Monte Cristo French toast... as I stated it was ok (I have had better & worse). I was disappointed... I expected better. Keep at it. Thank you.“
“I love Biggby and love supporting local companies. This location has very friendly staff and high quality drinks. That being said, prices have gone up, and I was shocked to spend $8 on a large frozen drink ($7 on a medium hot drink). I know that inflation is a thing, but I, sadly, can’t justify it.“
“First time here and they have earned a lifetime customer. The atmosphere is a nice, warm environment. I will bring my friends next time as they offer free games to play. The macchiato was one of the best I have had. I can't wait to try more drinks the next time I stop by!“
“Came in on a whim after seeing Madelyn on the instagram page wearing the lions jersey. After many great recommendations Amber made me a dirty chai, it was delightful. I hope I get to see more of these two in the future, goodbye Dunkin and hello hot spot!“
“Fries are very important to me and these fries absolutely slapped. The bistro sauce they came with was great too. Sandwich equally amazing with great bread. I love when I truly feel that the amount of food I get is worth the money. Can't wait to go back!“
“From the moment I entered, the warm and inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me, setting the tone for what would be a memorable experience. The decor exudes rustic elegance, with carefully selected Italian artifacts adorning the walls and cozy seating arrangements that transport patrons to a quaint Italian piazza. The coffee here is nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a connoisseur of classic espresso or prefer a velvety cappuccino, the offerings here are a genuine representation of traditional coffee excellence. The beans are expertly roasted to perfection, resulting in a rich, robust flavor that lingers on the palate. One of the standout features of this establishment is the personalized service. The staff here exudes genuine warmth and hospitality, making you feel like an honored guest in their home. I stop by here every time I'm in town!“
“New and family came and the food was awesome they had the nicest people and the man who took your order I just wanna say bro you have amazing time there man your so nice and everytime I looked at you you had a smile on your face so go there because you won't regret ❤️“
“Great coffee place! Probably the best one in the city of Clawson and nearby areas. Taste of lattes is always on top, service is friendly and fast! and the ambiance is great! Highly recommend trying the hot lattes with an extra shot of espresso, as they usually have a free extra shot on Friday, that is a great way to get the day going!“
