“Great spot. Got home after a long weekend, flew into DTW and we’re headed up 275/96 and always struggle to find a good spot so searched this one up in advance. About 30 min from DTW, pizza was amazing, we had the margherita, stuffed cheese bread, and aroncini. Everything was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Great east coast style thin crust, tangy sauce, wish this place was closer to home so we could go more often!“

“Super loud and echoey, I couldn't even hear the people at my table, but I could hear the guy across the restaurant talking about his wife's bedazzled thong.
The food was ok, I'm not sure why everything was so sweet - I got the Mac and cheese and the bacon was sweet, the BBQ sauce on the meat was sweet, and the coleslaw was sweet. The noodles in the Mac and cheese were overcooked, and there was very little cheese to be found under the top layer.

“I rarely write reviews but I want this restaurant to never go away. Go there, spend your money, you won't be upset. Comfortable restaurant, fantastic staff, and amazing food! We ordered appetizers, lunch, and take out for dinner. We got the Reuben Spring Rolls, Pretzel Sticks, Monte Cristo and the Bourbon Burger with Sweet Potato Fries, all delicious! The Mushroom Soup and Beef Stew are the best I've ever had!“

“I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

The food was good and presented nicely. Their fall bruchetta tasted a little like a dessert, mixing sweet with savory. The charcuterie board had a good variety of cheese & meat, but not a good selection of bread/crackers...just long, thin almost bland crisps that looked nice but didn't compliment the selection. The cocktail I selected was slightly spicy - a good tequila blend!
Our server was polite & friendly, but didn't even give us an opportunity to split checks. She dropped the bill and ran!“

“We had Mother’s Day brunch here a the food was amazing. Everything was great. Potatoes seasoned right, filet was cook medium, with an exquisite gravy. Chicken and vegetables were also good. The waitress and staff was attentive and served us some very delightful strawberry mimosas. Over the experience was very good!“

“We went for a ladies breakfast and they accommodated our table of 11 without issue. I had the red olive omelette with gluten-free toast and it was great! Apparently they have a lot of gluten-free options: pancakes, waffles, toast, pita bread. Other ladies had lunch salads and other breakfast entrees and everything looked delicious! Prices are very reasonable, portions are generous, and service was outstanding! Many of the ladies had special requests on their orders and everyone was accommodated! I will be back with my family!“

Went to stingers for a drink since it’s been a while since we’ve been here. I sat down and I had my beer right in front of me before I even ordered! The girls working are always so friendly and enjoy our time there!!

Needed a new place to hang out and we decided to try this place out. It looked a little intimidating but It certainly didn’t disappoint, a girl in a biker bar it was amazing! The girls were so nice and welcoming! Will definitely coming back here for some drinks and foods!!“

“Just came to say I enjoy the time I spend at the Wintergarden. The Wednesday wings are great and I get them almost EVERY Wednesday, the Sunday half off pizza is also a great deal and quite tasty. The service is usually good, but it depends on who is working. I am usually there during happy hour so my review is based on that. I have three bartenders I particulary like to see, Brei, who unfortunately for me, has branched out to better herself and is not there so often anymore, Alison, who knows my wing order by heart, and Sam who kicks butt and takes great care of me.“

“Not the review you think it’s going to be!My girlfriend and I had dinner there this past Saturday. 7 o’clock reservation and we checked in on time, however by the time 8 o’clock rolled around, we still had not been seated and had saw others come in and be seated while we waited. I checked in with the hostess to see how much longer we would be waiting and explain that we have been waiting an hour past our reservation time. She looked at my name and said that I got lost in the queue. She added my name to the queue immediately, but there had already been five other people waiting in front of us. Nonetheless, they set us within 15 minutes, and I did ask to speak to the manager, Bryce. I explained what happened and that the hostess was even a little snippy with me. Not only did he address the situation with the hostess, but he comped our meal sent us free appetizers and while we were waiting, we had been talking to a couple of women that have also been waiting for a table and they happen to be sat near us And he noticed we have been talking so he even sent them free appetizers. They also gave us a complementary dessert of their delicious carrot cake! The food was great, our server was great, and Bryce went above and beyond to make sure his customers were satisfied with their experience there. We will be returning because of Bryce being so kind and accommodating, and of course, as always, the food is amazing. Great job, Bryce! You are an amazing manager, and we felt more than taken care of for the incident. Lovely evening!“

Every single especially ally the waiter! we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and professional — they made sure our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfectly, and that we had everything we needed without even having to ask.

The manager also stopped by our table to check in and personally make sure we were enjoying our meal, which really made us feel valued and appreciated. It’s rare to see a team work so well together to create a seamless dining experience, and they truly nailed it.
