“Ferlito's is my absolute favorite Italian Restaurant. Great service, Great food, Great atmosphere. On this visit, I had Lasagna (best I've ever had). My wife and son shared the Chicken Piccata (who are we kidding, he ate the entire dish). The quality and flavor of the food was excellent as usual. Andrew, our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance is that of a small, romantic Italian Bistro. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough.“

“We had dinner and it was delicious. Every single dish had its own character and unique P+P touch. We had Steak Tartare (mayonnaise based which was different but good), Filet Mignon, Asparagus, Mushrooms, Lobster Risotto, I forget the name of the salad - and the cocktails were *perfect* and presented beautifully. The service was incredible, staff friendly and welcoming, overall atmosphere outside (where we sat) was perfect and spacious. Honestly for my Wife and I to start our evening for an anniversary date night at P+P - I couldn’t be happier. You will spend money. It’s worth it. They did go the extra mile for us, had a Happy Anniversary card waiting, brought out a desert for us with an edible chocolate piece that said “Happy Anniversary” - and it was fun. “We came at 11pm on a busy Saturday night and we were seated almost immediately. It was a little loud but to be expected on late night weekend. For drinks I ordered the Friend of A Friend, 10/10 for sure. We ordered the garlic knots and got the grandma, pesto, and meatzza pizzas. The Pesto was definitely the star of the evening. “I visited Nooch for lunch with my family for brunch this afternoon. The service was excellent (Our waitress, Cass, gave recommendations and checked in with us regularly throughout the visit) and the food was really good. No one in our family is vegan, but we went in with open minds and good appetites and were not disappointed. We'll definitely be visiting again soon.“

“I've always been a fan of Carrots n' Dates, especially when I'm on a health food kick. Recently, the owners have done an overhaul of the restaurant and I am LOVING the staff. They're always attentive, helpful, and seem eager to learn the business. The food is always fresh and delicious. By far one of my favourite lunch picks while I'm busy working on my school work. Can't recommend visiting enough, whether it's your first visit or if you're ready to give it another chance with the new staff. 10/10.“

The owner did reach out to me to apologize and offer cleaning/replacements for my clothing. They also spoke with the staff to make a training and learning lesson for them which I appreciate. I’m changing my rating of the experience based on Owen’s response, as most owners do not attempt to rectify a bad situation.

I have never had an experience as bad as the one I just had at Firebird Tavern. Needless to say I will never return or recommend this place to anyone. The visit started well and our server was very pleasant and attentive. Halfway through our visit, a full tray of drinks and shots was spilled on me to the point that a mop was needed and a wet floor signed was placed behind me. Not only that, but my white shirt is stained and not reparable. I was soaked. The server eventually did apologize to me and told me that she was personally comping ONE of my drinks. First of all, I would NEVER expect the server to comp any drinks. Second of all, I was never approached by the manager to access the damage or talk about comps, WHICH I would assume from the establishment itself. When we were brought our bill, I asked the server, ‘what is the establishment taking care of for my damages’. The manager eventually came to talk to me and did not seem aware of the situation, even after many servers explained what happened and I showed him my clothing that was still wet and stained. He simply replied that the server was comping one drink and he would see what he could do. The server came back with the same bill, no initiative from the bar or manager and I paid for the bill as it was. How is this acceptable from a bar that my table paid several rounds of drinks and food for the night? I have never experienced this lack of care in my life and cannot express my disappointment and frustration with the management and overall experience of Firebird. What an embarrassment to our city. As a resident of the downtown area, I would never expect such a terrible experience.“

“We live in the neighborhood and have enjoyed stopping in for dinner and beers semi-frequently. The menu was just updated and has some tasty new additions like the Detroit Brat with some updates to old favorites. The service we received from Laura and Zach was phenomenal. Highly recommend stopping in to catch a game, or after a night exploring the riverwalk.“

“The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues. (I'm done counting, it takes too much effort)
The building used to be a church. I personally love that repurposing. (Once saw a church knocked down to put in a Walmart! ) The layout works great: big U-shaped bar surrounded by 4-seat high-top tables. The all-important stainless steel vessels taking the place of the pulpit & choir. 6 big screens are spread around for the sports oriented. There is a room of the back of the main one with big leather-clad easy chairs & an actual fireplace. So cozy.
The free parking is in the back but you have to enter from the Biergarten which is entered from the corner. So, if you or a compadre are using a wheelchair, get dropped off at the corner.
The beer list is pretty broad, 2 pages, the food menu is of decent size.
Got a Lip Lock Cherry stout followed by a Peach Blonde. The stout was less sweet than expected (based on nothing) but nicely balanced. The peach version of the Dirty Blonde was tasty and refreshing.
Ate an Atwater Brat in-between. The brat was OK. The pretzel bun was good, the toppings (cheese, jalapeños, bacon bits) were good, too. The brat itself was the weak spot, tasted too much like a big hotdog.“

“Food was delicious we just had appetizers and the smash burger tacos and chicken bites were so yummy, but the best part was the bartender and the service! Shawn was our bartender and I have not had such a friendly, helpful, nice, bartender/server since before covid. Thats what customer service should be like again! Seems to really enjoy his job and the people he serves!
We really enjoyed our time here before the game! We are leaving with a great experience and our day is genuinely better walking out of here! Highly recommend!“
