“My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.“

“Checked out Eastern Market Brewing Company tonight, and I get why people talk about this place. It’s right in the heart of Eastern Market and has a great lineup of beers — enough options for everyone, whether you’re into IPAs or just want something easy to drink .

I grabbed a flight so I could pretend I’m a beer expert. I’m not, but the dark beer was smoother than I expected and the lager was the kind of crisp you want after a long week. The space itself feels laid back — good seating, and you can still catch whatever game is on without feeling like you’re in a packed sports bar.

Service was friendly, crowd was chill, and it’s the kind of spot where you could make this your go-to without even trying. Detroit beer, no pressure, good energy.

I’ll definitely be back — and I’m officially adding breweries to the list of places I “review” now.“

“We came to Detriot to see the NCAA D1 National wrestling tournament. We stopped in and had a great time. The beer, food, and environment were wonderful and we give them 5 stars. Look forward to coming back. Mechanicsburg PA folks“

“Incredible place to have some beers and good food. Parking on Kercheval is paid, but don’t put coins in the meter, you have to use a website/app to pay for parking. If you park on a side street it’s free. The building is large and tons of space for big groups either outdoor or indoor. TV’s to watch sports. Haven’t had a bad beer here yet. One of the best parts we stumbled on was the Happy Hour from 3:13-6:16 M-F which gets you $3.13 beer and $6.16 food. You would think it is a small portion since it’s on happy hour but you would be wrong. This will be a place we return to often.“

“If you want the worlds best coffee this is where you should go. (No seriously) Anthology Coffee is a really great place. Its has a chill vibe, covered in plants, outdoor seating, its really cool. The Coffee is amazing. They roast it right there in the cafe and get it from small farmers all over the world who don't use any pesticides or GMO's. The pastries are great and they are all gluten free and they usually have something savory on weekends (It goes fast, so be there early). The baristas are really great and its kid friendly. Anthology Coffee is wheel chair accessible, there is a lot across the street with free parking, its great for groups, really anyone. Its located on 1948 Division St in Eastern Market which is really great cause you can head over to the market after or go for a nice walk on the Diquindre Cut. My sister lives in Detroit and every time I visit we always go to Anthology Coffee, I really love going there. Anthology Coffee is an amazing place, the people there actually care about the quality of coffee and where it comes from, they don't exploit their employees or customers, and really make a difference. The Anthology Coffee family is even better than coffee itself. I would definitely recommend checking it out.“

“I got the small spaghetti & meatballs as well as the spaghetti sandwich Eminem's way. Food was DELICIOUS!! Absolutely worth the price! The small came with 3 big meatballs & loaded with grated cheese. It really was ahige portion for a small. The sandwich was also soooooo good even as leftovers!!!! The bad.... I waited like 15+ mins in the rain to order. I walked inside half way through the wait to look for someone, never found anyone. Went back outside & waited with 4 more people & no one ever came so after 15+ mins, I went upstairs to the store & asked for help. The girl working found the cook (who also takes the orders) & just happened to be on lunch. I wouldn't have minded waiting if there would've been a little 30 min break sign up or something. I was expecting to grab a decent sandwich but the food was great and the service was even better. The place has a nice little nostalgic ambiance, we got our food pretty fast, and Barb was so sweet. I didnt get the chefs name, but not only did he bring out a side of corned beef for my friend to try, he saw me airing up my tires and came outside to make sure everything was ok. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by!“

When our car battery died nearby, one of their staff members, Ed the dishwasher, went out of his way to help us by giving us a jump. That kind of kindness is rare and unforgettable. He didn’t have to step in, but he did, and it speaks volumes about the kind of people who work here. Ed is a true gem, an everyday hero who absolutely deserves recognition (and honestly, a raise!).

The brewery itself was excellent, but what really stuck with us was the generosity and humanity we experienced here. Thank you, Atwater, for having such wonderful people on your team. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Wonderful Coffee! The hand made syrups were probably the best I ever had. I tried two lattes, one with vanilla lavender and the other with honey cinnamon and they were great! I recommend both of them with oatmilk. The owner was super friendly with my party and I and we had a very nice conversation with her while she made our lattes. Down Under is only FOUR minutes away from the TCF, walking. There is NO reason to ever get Starbucks again while I am in Detroit for Youmacon. A definite must for all the con goers to give them a try!“
