“We live in Ohio and never get fresh fish. My wife and I decided to split the fish n chips and a cheeseburger meal. Both were outstanding! I like to save what tastes best for last and I couldn't decide. The burger meal comes with kettle chips and I thought about substituting them for fries, but the fish came with fries so we kept the chips and were very glad we did. If you make say what was the best thing I ate, it would be the fresh white fish. Delicious!!!! My wife and I don't eat out very often and this was the best meal we've had in years.“

“Delicious and great service! Our new favorite spot for lunch or dinner on Mackinac! We had the chicken fingers (they're supposed famous for their chicken fingers and now we know why!) and the white fish and chips. Both were outstanding - flavorful and fall apart tender! Their fries were exceptionally delicious - salty and with a light subtle seasoning we loved! The service was phenomenal - helpful and friendly. Lovely place right on the water!“

“Had both the chili with corn bread and the burger with pork belly bacon, egg, cheese on a brioche. Everything great - good service and knowledgeable staff. Craft beers and live music was a bonus along with the outdoor patio. Highly recommend - great getaway from the chaos of the island.“

“We have made Kingston Kitchen an annual dinner location while visiting Mackinac Island. The jerk chicken fettuccine alfredo is a must!! My husband had the bbq fried chicken and is still talking about how great it was! Great food plus a friendly atmosphere with a great waitstaff. Highly recommended.“

“We very much enjoyed our time at The Grand Hotel. The front porch was amazing for afternoon drinks and relaxing. Shout out to James Tan, our absolute favorite server! We stayed at The Grand with friends for a week! We enjoyed meals at the Jockey Club and loved The Woods!! The staff was mostly attentive, I think the concierge team could do a bit better at being nice. The only complaint I have is dinner in the main dining room. We wanted the experience and got all dolled up one night. Drinks on the porch were great! Dinner was terrible and the service was terrible. I understand it’s a commitment and that’s part of the experience, but our waiter never came around and asked how our meals were after serving us and waited too long between courses. I could see him having a good time laughing and flirting with a coworker when he should have been attending to his patrons. I would recommend The Grand! We absolutely had an amazing week. I would never have dinner in the main dining room again. There are too many great restaurants on the island. You don’t need to settle for bad food and service.“

“More like a local pub than a tourist spot. Service was quick. We needed a quick light lunch an ordered the Mexican Sampler platter. Split with the wife and it was all we needed to keep us going. It spicy but and the fresh salsa had just the right kick. If I come to the island again this will be a nice break from the crazy main st.“
