We would be close by in Detroit, and being vintage car enthusiasts, knew we had to take a side trip to Monroe! When we arrived the staff made sure we were seated in a car booth. “The Open Faced Prime Rib sandwich, was the best I have had since Red Wells closed their doors. The meat is so flavorful. My waitress Karley who was the sweetest thing, told me they slow roast the meat then slice it. We had the Hocus Pocus Marg flight. Sooo cute and so yummy. The place is gorgeous.“

“My husband and I stopped in for an earlier dinner. I had the ribeye steak. A little hiccup with the kitchen (requested medium rare, got well done). But without me asking, the General Manager, Laura, took care of it. Dinner was really good. Our waitress was Jennifer. She's the best. Consistent, friendly, and she is a really good server. “Have been going to the grill for quite sometime now. I have had many different items on their menu and the majority of food is good. Go there on Tuesday nights for Karaoke and would like to make a suggestion. I love that it starts at 7pm however it is a bar and grill most bars in Michigan close at 2am. Would like to see owner extend the hours of karaoke because on busy nights such as last night 2-21-23 some people hardly get to sing. Took over 2hrs to get through the first rotation. Some singers only get 1 song in. Also consider doing it on a Friday or Saturday night. I understand that businesses are struggling but this place usually has a good turnout. If your busy make the judgement to stay open til bar time if your slow then close. I just would like to see some changes. Other than that I would give this business a 4 star rating.“

“I'm in the search of the best Reuben. So far Joy's has an edge other places I've eaten at since visiting Monroe. The meat thickness was good, the sauerkraut has good placement being in the middle and I love it when the sauce is on the side so you can add as little or as much as you want. All in all I would say they have the best so far.“
