“I had a class over the weekend down the street and knew I'd need a little extra kick to get me through the morning. When I came in and complained to the barista about my lack of sleep and the over-filling of the coffee at another Starbucks, she was extremely empathetic and supportive. Plus, I wavered on whether I wanted medium or dark roast, and she suggested a mix without missing a beat! I loved that she listened to me, and then helped me solve the problem without acting as if I was being annoying for being indecisive (problem when one lacks sleep - especially me.) It was a very enjoyable experience and if I lived in the area, I'd certainly return here for my coffee needs.“

“My favorite branch for coffee, they make great coffee.I visit this place frequently every day, and it is close to my home. The staff is very nice, and the café is crowded at some points of the day.Free parking is available, and designated parking for people with disabilities.“

“Whoever is responsible for hiring at this location is on point, this is not only the best staffed Biggby but quite possibly the best staffed coffee shop in the world in general! Super friendly and exceptionally helpful with ordering and explaining items. Always smiles on the faces of these wonderfully helpful people. I would come here all the time but the overall vibe of the place (staff excluded) leaves a bit to be desired.Indoor color scheme is jarring, outside looks like it could use a face lift, but the drive through is pretty great and, again, the staff keep it moving quickly while still assuring quality of product delivered to drivers. I love their little tip jar themes, even if I wasn't a tipper and/or didn't love the staff here, I would still put a little sumpin sumpin in there for creativity alone.Sadly, through no fault of staff, this place gets 1 star for atmosphere and a deduction from an otherwise overall 5 star rating because although I can imagine worse places, this could be so much more inviting and comfortable. Why maintain a dining area that no one wants to sit in? I need to be in town from out of state for an extended period for personal and family reasons and find myself in need of a place to work remotely for the time. Instead of coming here for it's much more convenient location, friendly staff, and great menu, I instead go all the way to Panera almost daily and have joined their drink membership program ONLY because they don't have music blasting out of a music system that is in serious need of an upgrade. Seriously, this is the only reason! Seems like an easy enough fix. Someone please get this awesome staff (and me!) a decent speaker/sound system installed it sounds like listening to old cassettes from the inside of a my high school boyfriend's hand-me-down Chevy from 1980, there's only so much I can take of it :( Will amend rating when I see some much needed upgrade action, don't be slumlords!“

“Love this sweet book store. Great selection of books for readers of all ages and genres. Staff will help you find what you’re looking for, and if they don’t have it, they will order it for you, or you can easily order online from their website and go pick it up when it arrives. Cafe has a variety of beverages ranging from coffees to flights of wine to cocktails to unwind. There are also snacks, baked goods and heavier fare if you are more than a little hungry. They have events during the week, they change it up quite a bit. Plenty of seating to catch up with a friend, do a little studying, or just buy a book and get lost in it. A lovely addition to the area, really glad it’s here.“

“I had read about this place when looking for places not far from MSU and thought it sounded interesting. I've never tried Turkish food and it was amazing. I met up with my daughter and 2 of her friends and all of us liked all of our lunches. I also got a piece of Baklava to go and it was amazing. The Turkish tea was amazing also. “I was helped by a blonde cashier, who was super friendly, and greeted me with an enthusiastic. Happy Monday! The service was wonderful. I ordered a mango smoothie, there was a miscommunication about having the cream on top, and they were so helpful in getting me a new one. It may have been my fault because my hearing is not the best. Regardless, they were very friendly and accommodating. My mother who used to have her own bakery, and is now retired, is quite a baked goods snob. In a good way. She loved the three different desserts I had her try. She usually doesn't like anyone's baked goods, but her own, but I could tell she absolutely loved the crêpe cake, the strawberry shortcake cup, and the dark chocolate cheesecake.The baked goods were so good, I went back later this evening, to get a mango slush, made with real fruit, and two other baked goods.“

If you have a developed palette for good coffee, this is the best place to go in Lansing! Also best black brewed coffee! And, it’s not just the best because we’re in Lansing. “I’ve been a long time regular at downtown and have nothing but high praises for it. The baristas consistently improve my mood with their friendly demeanor and witty jokes! Liv, Zac, Jac, & the rest of the baristas always treat me like one of their own and always make me feel welcome. I look forward to getting food and coffee from here almost every very day I can afford to. The shop’s atmosphere matches the aesthetic of downtown to a t and I’m happy that this is the premier craft coffee spot in the area. Despite the greater Lansing area being hostile to LGBT people, it’s nice to have a little sanctuary where we all feel safe. I love the cortados and dirty chais that I get. Academic studies claim that 3rd spaces are dying and strange matter is a large exception to that notion. From a study spot that isn’t my apartment to a place to meet friends and family, strange matter consistently fills a need in my life for a reliable 3rd space. I’ve worked in coffee in the past and the staff’s passion for what they do clearly shows. Best damn coffee shop in all of Lansing.“

“I love this coffee shop! I was bummed when the Biggby in this location closed because I love the atmosphere. However I’m not a fan of Biggby- so when the Hob Nob opened, I was so excited. “Groovy Donuts is amazing! These are simply the best donuts in the Williamston and/or East Lansing area. Specialty donuts of many shapes and flavors are available here. “Stopped by on a Saturday morning for the first time. The restaurant was busy but not full yet. The menu is the perfect size for the staff to be able to produce an amazing product. As the food comes out, you will notice that every plate is photo worthy. I was thrilled that my Bongo omelet looked as great as it tasted. The table behind me had ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and I will be back soon to order it for myself. I also need to try the corned beef after noticing it go by. “Love this place :)I live nearby, and come in when I need to get work done. It could be considered loud, but the smells of coffee, the music, and the consistent bustle of people around you is the perfect recipe for people who like working in public spaces. One wall is all windows and I love the natural light that floods the whole shop.In the years I’ve been coming here, I’ve never met an unpleasant employee. Quite the opposite ! In fact, not long ago I ordered my usual iced Earl Grey latte, but it was a little weak, so I asked the workers if they had steeped the tea enough. It turned out that their coffee machine’s hot water was not heating up enough, so they quickly brought out their kettle to make my tea instead. Since then, I’ve had a perfect latte every time ! It was that extra effort that makes this place so special, especially since coffee shop baristas aren’t always well acquainted with the science of making tea. Love them. “Let me preface this with the fact that I travel all over the state of Michigan for my job. I swing into coffee shops all the time when I’m on the road and give employees of coffee shops and cafes the opportunity to make whatever they want and have creative freedom. I’ve swing into this location a couple of different times but the last two times I’ve been here have prompted me to make a review. The barista Josh know how to make a coffee. It was a mocha cold brew with white chocolate and mint. It was so good I thought about it periodically throughout the week until I was back into Lansing for the day. The customer service of this store is amazing too, Sophia is who I talked two the last two times I visited. this is a store with two highly rated employees. These two definitely deserve recognition for the quality of work they carry out.“

“I went here for the first time today and was blown away. To start, the staff was so friendly (shoutout Lesley and Chloe). Since it was my first time, they gave me suggestions based of my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and my taste of coffee (sweeter). I got the Greek wrap without the chicken and added avocado based on Lesley's recommendation. It tasted great. Chloe suggested the Smores latte and it was exactly what I wanted. I sat in the Cafe for some time on my laptop (they offer wifi :)) and Chloe and Lesley were so friendly. They also had multiple regulars come in during this time and they remembered their orders; they clearly had built relationships with these customers.“

“I grew up in Lansing I live in Florida now every time I come home to visit I gotta get me some Sparty’s Coney Island. What’s my favorite well the chili cheese burger and chili cheese fries would be my favorite. The olive burger is fire as well I mean you really can’t go wrong I mean Really everything they make is fantastic you can go to any other Coney Island in the country and it doesn’t get better than Spartys trust me.“
