I have introduced many of my friends to this place and they continue to go back. This is hands down one of my top 3 favorite places in Michigan. I highly recommend it!“

“Tried this place for the first time today! Rider was my server and he was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable funny and sweet. Genuinely had such a good time just being in his presence and he was very attentive! Tried the flaming fig, although without the jam. Didn't personally find it too spicy without the jam, although my friend found it slightly spicy with the jam. Either way it was the most delicious grilled cheese ever. Great wine selection, and don't be afraid to try the espresso drink made with blood orange soda, it was very good! On the store side of things, there was a great selection of product and the service was great. Will definitely tell as many people as possible about this place and will come again!“

“Finally got to check out Ladder 4 last night and it definitely was worth the hype! Food, wine, service, all incredible. Robert, our server, made amazing recommendations for food, and paired them beautifully with wine. All our food was outstanding but the Trout was transcendent. Definitely a meal and hospitality experience I will think about for months and years to come. Looking forward to the opportunity to return.“

“Update: New owners, but the same wonderful hospitality. It was a pleasure to meet Sam and Taylor at the latest Pick Up Party; they have great plans for MBTB! MBTB always makes us feel welcome. We're Sipper Club members and it's worth joining - special pricing, special events and early notification of our favorite wines from wineries throughout Michigan. Snacks are available to purchase, but we sometimes take our own meat, cheese and fruit tray with us to enjoy there with our wine. It's a great place to meet up with friends too.“

“Had a great dinner here! Only thing that was a bit odd was our waiter explaining the history of the restaurant with a 5 minute story. It felt like it went in forever and was just a bit uncomfortable. Other than that food was great! I recommend the tar tar!“

“Motor City Wine Bar offers a wide selection of wines, and hosts live music, particularly jazz, and food pop-ups. There's a chill, cozy vibe at this bar especially on the patio during the summer, and reasonable prices. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. They offer a curated wine list and limited small bites, such as cheese plates, rather than a full dining menu. I visited on jazz night and the band was spectacular! They don't accept reservations so walk on in and enjoy live music and bar bites. It's a hot spot and extremely comfortable and lively setting to enjoy live music.

“Wow. What an absolutely fantastic final dinner of 2023! After we managed to find a late dinner reservation for New Year's Eve, it was a relief to discover that our excitement about the tasting menu was well-placed. I would definitely recommend the drink pairings as well! The amuse-bouche featuring oysters from the West and East coasts was a delightful way to splash into the meal. The wasabi and the mangosteen featured in each of the oysters, respectively, complimented the beautiful brine of the oysters in such a wonderfully playful way. This first tasting urged us to pause the menu progression and order an extra dozen oysters to explore the other possibilities. Tasting from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island, they were beautifully prepared and of excellent quality. The first course of lobster salad felt like a summer in Maine. Not that I've ever been to Maine, but the imaginary scene flashed across my vision as I took that first refreshing bite. The grapefruit emulsion worked almost majestically with the light, refreshing flavor of the lobster salad. The tapioca chip was perfect for the crunch to fully bring the different elements of the dish together. A fascinating intersection of refreshment and comfort. The second course was the potato pavé. I'll be thinking of this potato often for the foreseeable future. It was one of those dishes that makes your eyes pop open a bit when you bite it as you realize how good it is. A beautifully layered and seared rectangle of flaky delicious potato resting with a lovely salsa brava speckled with trout roe, topped with tarragon, cured trout, and black truffle flakes. I don't even know what else to say. It was stunning. Sea urchin buttered ramen, the third course, will always be what I wish my at-home thrown-together ramen could be. It was rich, it was luscious, it was comforting. Growing up in southeast Texas, crawfish boils were always some of the most exciting times of the year. The crawfish tails in the ramen brought me back to those summer days eating crawfish with a cold beer. The duck breast for the fourth course was exceptionally cooked. It was juicy and flavorful and made a perfect bite with a bit of cauliflower, raisins, apricot, agrodolce, and foie-sauce. Each bite was such a symphony of flavor that kept me coming back. Last but absolutely not least was the gâteau ardéchois: the chestnut cream cake. Accompanied by cranberry coulis and crispy meringue bites, this dessert was a sweet but still mellow finish. While the coffee mascarpone ice cream was a robust and complementary flavor, we both agreed the vanilla coconut ice cream was the star between the two. Thank you again to the stellar crew at Mink! “I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.“

“On Friday, February 6, we went to Capitol Grille. It has been our “Go to” restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries for many years, except the disappointment of our absence during the repairs caused by the fire. The food is excellent, the service superb. This time, however, we went to celebrate a very special event. We had no intention of disclosing the purpose, except to tell them it was a very special event. The hostess that seated us, got my wife to disclose the event. Before we knew it, the Manager, Eric, came to our table, expressing congratulations, etc. Several others, some we knew, and others we did not, also came to our table to express their congratulations. Eric then returned a second time, with more kind words. What we learned during this visit, Capitol Grille is not only about great food, and great service, it is about the people, very special people who made this visit extraordinary. Mike R.“

“I went to Seasons 52 for a work lunch. Out waitress was really nice. I ordered a salmon salad and it was absolutely delicious. Fish was fresh and seasoned well. The salad was lite and refreshing. I would go back there to order that again. They also have a lunch menu where you can get a flatbread and either a soup or salad. Some of my coworkers ordered a flatbread and side salad, they had a lot of food. Everyone stayed their food was good. My salad was $23 and I didn’t have much left over but it was really good. Seasons 52 offer other dishes that also sounds really good.“

“Yes, but - the order and pay by phone ruins the overall experience of Mudgies. Can’t ask an app about the menu. Spent 10 minutes looking on the interface to order an ice tea. Figured it was my lack of finding the menu. Had to flag someone down to learn they were out of ice tea. All those things a server would tell you. But alas you don’t get. So good food, crappy experience! Lower your expectations, taking on the McDonald’s approach, sad really. Oh and if you want an item on the side they charge extra for that?! And with this order system no one asked me how my lunch was- or if I needed anything. So my sandwich was cold and sat awhile before it was quickly dropped at my table. I am so bummed - loved this place. The good news is there are now a ton of amazing options for lunch in Corktown. I recommend tipping much less because you are really on your own.“

“Five stars easily. The Detroit Club is more than just a restaurant or hotel, it’s an experience from the moment you walk through the doors. The energy is warm, elevated, and welcoming, and the entire space is absolutely beautiful. The aesthetics, ambiance, and attention to detail make it feel timeless and intentional.
I was dining alone, and one of the chefs, Chef Tony Rave, personally came out to check on me, which honestly made the experience feel even more special. That level of hospitality and care stands out. The food was incredible, flavorful, fresh, and beautifully done.

“We celebrated our Annniversary. The hostess and waitress acknowledged it. We had bbq shrimp and ceasar salad to start. I had twin 4oz filet with shrimp and my husband had 11oz filet. Side dishes were cream spinach( large enough portion) and sweet potatoe casserole in a tiny ramiken. This used to be an extra large portion. We were given Cheesecake to take home along with our leftovers. We were dressed in nice casual clothes. Many guests were wearing Michigan tshirts, Basketball tanks with shorts and other unappealing clothing for a lovely expensive dining establishment. The sign at the front that states business casual is ignored. This was are only dissapointment.“

“What a great dining experience here at Belle Limone! The experience kicked off with the staff kindly suggesting where my fiancée and I should park for the best prices as we were out of town.
