“Spiedo is putting out the most exciting, innovative, and (most importantly) delicious food in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant for a casual dinner (or a great lunch). I cannot express enough how thoughtful their food is.

Spiedo does rotating menus of wraps, rice bowls, and sides. The wraps and rice bowls are amazing (the spicy pork, walleye, chicken, kielbasa, and spicy tofu are all really, really great. The falafel’s the only one I’d forgo for the others).

As good as the main dishes are, the sides are even better. The farmer’s cheese is amazing. They had a lemon chicken rice soup for a while that was one of the best soups I’ve ever had. Other ones I’ve loved from past and current menu rotations are the roasted cabbage, griddled potatoes, eggplant, phkali (carrot puree) dip, smashed cucumber, and heirloom tomato. It’s hard to go wrong with the sides - I suggest you prioritize them when deciding what to order. The creativity is just phenomenal - dishes are packed with fresh herbs, lots of texture, and flavor combinations that work very well.

The chocolate tahini milkshake is amazing as well.

“First time ever Eating pita king, the experience was amazing. I had one of them roll up cashew snacks for the first time very very delicious also I purchased two chicken Shawarma with just garlic and pickles Portion size was bigger than normal, but not complaining great season to food. Clean,service was fast, Reasonable pricing, The Gorgeous woman behind the counter was very polite and nice They also had lentil soup I really wanted to try it, but I have not and I will be going back to do so. Thank you so much For the great experience, loved the food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“The man working the counter was very friendly, explained the whole selection to me. They had several kinds of baklava and I’ll have to say the two kinds that I tried were practically inhaled, very delicious! They even had some chopped pistachio to put on top after ordering. My dad makes some very good baklava but this might even be better. I also got some danishes welhich were good and they were pulling something out of the oven that resembled a purse made of sesame seed bread. I had to have one of those and probably ate half of it on the way home. I’d like to throw some honey and butter on it and make a mess of myself. I’ll be back next time and maybe again tomorrow.“

“Great fresh fast food, not super fast but typically 15 mins. They give you a lot of food! I love the 5pc lamb chops with rice and a salad. It’s enough to eat for 2 days. It also comes with a ton of bread and garlic spread. The staff is always friendly and the food is ready when I arrive. I do give grace when running behind because it’s worth the wait. Price is reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting.“

Lunch special w chicken tawook & chicken shawarma sandwich. Bowl of lentil and chicken lemon rice soup were additionally delicious and exceeded our expectations. Dilal- the woman at the front w big blue eyes was soo kind, the food is what is bringing us back and the customer service is what is going to keep us there! “I did a meal train order for a friend. I called with so many questions, but they were patient with me and answered all of my questions. I placed a same day Catering order. Not only did they say "yes" to the order but they also cooked everything just before pick up for maximum freshness and so it was hot. They helped me bring to the car and they checked for every item before I left. That food was SO SO GOOD!! My friend and her family asked for the location so they can order again. Thank you all so much for the amazing service and amazing food!

“One of my favorite places to get carry out in Ann Arbor!! I am addicted to their Syrian Burritos and to their tabboleh baladi. But then again I love the okra, the cauliflower salad, the beet salad, the falafel sandwich… everything I’ve tried. And their desserts are amazing!! The owner really cares about her customers and the quality of the food she serves. In these pandemic days she is providing wonderful service as a one woman enterprise. Highly recommend if you enjoy delicious food!!“

“The falafel is absolutely amazing! I have traveled a great distance to get a decent falafel and I no longer have to travel to Dearborn Heights Michigan to get my falafel. I can come right here to Baba Dari! Also, the container that they use to put our food in is made out of compostable material and the lid is made out of plants not petroleum plastics! I am in love with Baba Dari, Mediterranean Grill and I can’t wait to try everything on the menu!?♥️✌?“

“Alright, this place has good service (nothing special on the service end), prices I thought were pricy UNTIL I got the amount of food I did. DAMN did I get food, I forgot to take a picture. I got a gyro bowl, I could eat it in 3 meals maybe. A normal person probably 2 meals. The food is very very good, super fresh, flavorful, VERY GOOD.

Now, the only downside, is the tables were dirty and the floor was dirty. The kitchen looked very clean and it smelled very clean just the floors and tables. They also didn’t have good water. We asked for a cup of water and it had fruit punch mixed in it.

But overall I would go back for sure! Maybe just carry out instead!“
