“Had lunch and our table tried multiple food options. One of the crowd favorites was chips and queso (with salsa). One of the best queso’s and salsas I’ve had. I had the walleye tacos (both blackened and breaded - prefer blackened).“

“I went twice during the insane "ICE" terror. First, to support a business then second because the food was excellent. The owner and workers there were so nice and pleasant despite the horror they were living through. I so much hate these gestapo raids on our immigrant communities. The Trump administration and all ice "employees" should be so ashamed of these tactics. They have hurt a lot of families and working people. “Family was attending a get together at Minneapolis Axe Throwing and afterwards decided to grab a bite. Decided to stop by Sonora Mexican Kitchen just happenstance. WOW. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer. It was a long drive for us, but I’m going to have to make this trip again. Well done Sonora Mexican Kitchen and Bar! “I wish it was a star point system to review. I usually love britos burrito. The location on Nicollet is really convenient for me. I would probably give it three stars. I always ask for one scoop of rice and they always give me extra. I ask for a little bit of corn and they put a heaping scoop on the one thing that really frustrates me is that when I ask for extra cheese, they put a pinch on and if I ask for more, they get angry and tell me that I’m going to have to pay for it. The service leaves a lot to be desired, but the pricing is good, which is why it is three stars and not five.“

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. But it’s actually an adorable set up inside the BP and not weird at all :) I give this place 5/5 stars! 🌯🌮💕“

“I enjoyed Masa & Agave, located downstairs in the Hotel Ivy, where I almost lived in a condo above the hotel. It’s in an area of downtown that can get desolate after the workday, which is why I chose not to live there. However, after an event at Orchestra Hall, Masa & Agave was perfect. Gorgeously appointed, Masa comes across as classy, with prices to match. This is not your rowdy taco joint. Service was good, if a bit casual for such an elegant place. My short rib tacos were delicious, juicy, and flavorful. I enjoyed them. Cocktails were okay, but they lacked any originality. That was what I felt overall at Masa. The restaurant lacked an identity and came across as very corporate. If I were within a block and a half, I would return to Masa & Agave, but it wouldn’t be a destination restaurant for me.“
