“This is my first stop every year at the State Fair. The Black Currant Tea is the best! Next to the Scones! This year they offer a SconeNut which is a cross between a scone and a donut!

BUT Wait! There's More! The best thing was the service that I received from Eden and CJ! These two youngsters knocked it out of the park. To see people wanting to work long hours and deliver with true smiles and authenticity made my first stop extra special! THANKS, kids, for what you do. "I'll Be Back". (Say it like Arnold) 8-)“

“Stopped in for a late lunch on the patio. Was interested in a bitters & soda and the server recommended mixing the rhubarb and cardamom, which was delicious and refreshing. Followed that with the Chix Correa sandwich and a side salad. Wow! Really creative flavors and well-executed. Could tell everything was made from scratch and with high quality ingredients and care. Also the decor was fun and hip, the music top-notch, and the staff kind. I look forward to coming back soon!“

“On a bike ride off the Minnehaha Parkway, we happened upon Heathers on a warm end-of-summer day. We walked in and ordered a nice beer on tap and relished in their fresh-cut romantic flowers in vases on their outdoor patio tabletops.

The dilly ranch, savory and tantalizing, made the Blackened Salmon Dilly Ranch Salad, a delicate and sumptuous salad of gem lettuce, crunchy radish, fresh avocado and cucumber, sunflower seeds, and pickled onions.

The saucy sumptuous teriyaki made the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl, a piquant mouthfeel, a delight of bright green edamame, brilliant pink pickle onions, avocado, rice and fresh broccoli. Delicious!“

“Found this little gem this morning with a friend and I think it’s my new go-to coffee shop with other moms when we have to bring our kiddos! As a mom of a toddler, it can be really hard to expect my son to stay sitting while I try to enjoy a coffee with a friend but this place has incredible coffee and food, incredible customer service, and an amazing play area to let the kiddos roam while you enjoy time with a friend!! Absolutely will be returning!“

“Only been here twice so far. Absolutely loved the biscuit egg, sausage sandwich. Absolutely loved the breakfast burrito. Great flavor in both. Great conversation with the owner. The burrito looked small but picking it up, it was heavy!! Great flavor, I'm thinking the beans were well seasoned. Didn't get the chorizo spicy flavor, but that's ok. I could see the meat in the wrap. They know how to make a killer biscuit. It was light, fluffy, and very flavorful. I hear their Cuban is supposed to be good, probably what I will try next.“

“What a positively lovely space and place to get a delicious coffee 😊 Biking over on a sunny Sunday morning in November, my first visit here left a dazzling impression. The baristas were very warmly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was buzzing! Laughter, conversation. It was on the louder side on a Sunday morning so keep that in mind if you’re looking for someplace more subdued. There was a bit of a line but it moved quick. I got a light roast, black, and it was super savory if you can call it that—very drinkable, smooth, round with a ever-so-slight lean into the sourness of acidity, which I like. I wonder if it was their own brand of bean, which they carry. Overall, energizing vibes with the warm-colored walls, dark green mosaic tile, and vibrant Uptown clientele. I can’t wait to be back to try more of the menu and absorb the vibes here, whether it’s while working, meeting a friend, or just hanging out. I’m so glad to have them here in Uptown. “Awesome little place in Uptown we just discovered. Be sure to grab a fresh ginger shot. Lots of cool specialty drinks to try. I tried the Biscoff Latte (iced). Definitely a caffeinated dessert which I recommend. Next time I'll try the regular drip. If you are riding up the greenway, definitely stop in!“

Although George Floyd square and the surrounding community have been impacted in so many ways, they have shown resilence and what it means to stand together.
