To me, grocery store bakery items are the fancy choice. Then, one fateful day I walked into "Hold the Wheat" and like a unrefined street urchin I asked for an "apple fritter." Spencer looked at the shelf and handed me what I thought was their version of an apple fritter.One bite into it I knew I had discovered something special. Flakey pastry, with a gooey, sweet center. Every time I chewed there was more crunch on my palate. I had to stop what I was doing and concentrate on what was happening in my mouth. I finally figured out it was the course grained sugar that was giving it the crunch.I told myself I would write a witty review for them but I procrastinated until I forgot about it. A couple weeks later, I drove by the shop and noticed it's name. "Hold the Wheat?" Hold on, it's also gluten free!? Mind. Blown. It never even occurred to me that what I was eating didn't contain gluten.My wife has a gluten intolerance and I knew I had to let her try it. Well, here I am. My only complaint is that it gets super busy and has limited seating. I came to sit and visit with a friend and we waited for seating and it was fairly loud. Once it calmed down, it was the perfect environment to visit. I also found the staff very kind and calm despite it being so busy! I would visit again any time!Parking: There is a hill on the side of the coffee shop where it seems the majority of people parked. The neighborhood also has a lot of space to park. Parking on Penn is limited due to a large 30 min parking area, but I found this to be the best parking.“

“I ordered cookies for pick up today-Valentines Day!! I arrived at 10:30am to pick up my cookies and there were already 17 people in the store! The greeter was friendly and said there would be a short wait for orders! No problem! Then I realize that there was only one employee baking the cookies and only one employee preparing the orders! Why, why, why would they not have more help on what is probably Crumbl’s busiest days of the year!! I will say the young lady ( wish I had gotten her name) was doing a great job getting the orders out as quickly as she could and was very friendly and professional upon delivery which was commendable since I’m sure she was overwhelmed!! She definitely deserves a bonus from Crumbl for her service today! By the way, the cookies were as beautiful and delicious as ever ( also a compliment to her)!!“

The service was amazing from taking our order over the phone to rushing to get our food to us, as hot as possible. The fufu is fantastic, the chicken and fish were incredibly flavorful and juicy. Both the rice and beans were so flavorful and the portions were giant.
