“We stopped in by accident on a Friday night. The food is incredible. The cook really understands herbs and spices and is making everything from scratch. Not being familiar with Ethiopian food, we randomly ordered samosas, lamb tips, beets and lentils. Each dish was a mouthful of delight. The beets were my favorite and my friend who does not like beets loved this. Not at all convenient to my house, I will gladly drive for this food and sweet little restaurant.“

If they keep their qualities or make it even better, im willing to bet this place will last longer than any other places. They have very delicious soups we tried the duck soup and the mushroom soup, both were delightfully tasty. They have the most divine lamb chops! All the food we had was flavorful and cooked to perfection. They make an amazing homemade ginger ale that has that perfect bite of ginger to it. The restaurant is small but cozy and there are wonderful views from the windows. Our waiter Bryant did an amazing job explaining the menu options and telling us about the off menu specials. They have a Sunday Date Night menu as well and I assure you that you won't be disappointed by anything you order. Highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a place to have a romantic dinner!“

“My wife and I have been coming here 20 plus years and this was our 12 years for our annual Family Christmas party. Great place to eat and visit with family and friends. Best steak and sea food anywhere. Had our annual family Christmas party in there last night and we all had such a great time. Our waitress Aja is the best. She looks after your every need and is the friendliest waitress we have ever had dining out. This is the second year in a row we have had her. Aja helped make it a perfect night as did the staff. I special ordered king crab legs for my sons to go with their steak and they were perfect. Looking forward to additional visit at Porterhouse and hope to have Aja as a waitress again.“

“I ordered the beef ribs and pork ribs with their 5 cheese baked Mac and cheese and it was absolutely delicious!!! The pork ribs were a bit salty but if you eat it with the BBQ sauce they provide it's amazing I got them with the side Mac and the Mac was soooo good! You can tell there are 5 different cheeses and it wasn't dry! The pork ribs came with about 4 ribs and a few ends. The beef ribs are pretty big and came with 2 and an extra end. Next time I order I will definitely be getting just the beef ribs in my opinion they were better they had a bit of spice to them and weren't too salty! Baked Mac and cheese 9/10 just wish it came with a little more. Pork ribs 6/10 they were too salty but decent. Beef ribs 9/10 perfectly seasoned just wanted a little more moisture.“

“It has been years since my wife and I have dined in at DC2. The hype after its first opening seems to have died down. Usually when asked about DC2's food, folks seem to have mixed reviews. So because we were around in the area yesterday, we decided to give it a try to see what has changed.The menu seems about the same, with a few less items. The biggest change is the prices, which definitely is dollars more than it use to. Understanding with economy/inflation, pricing up is eventually going to happen. But is it worth really spending about $5-$10 on dishes where you can go a few blocks over to Hmong Village for cheaper?We ordered the combination pad thai (big noodles), papaya salad (Thai med spicy), and hli xiab (fried pork with tamarind sauce). I was always a big fan of the pad thai sauce from DC2, which seems to be the same as I remember it. However, the noodles are a bit thicker, like chow fun noodles. It was soft, feels homemade, and paired very well with the sauce & meats. The papaya salad was not overly sauced, and tasted very fresh. It had just the right amount of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness for both my wife and I. The hli xiab was a dish we have not tried before, and did very much enjoy. You pick a choice of meat which is stir fried with a sweet tamarind sauce accompanied with bell peppers and onions. There is an option to add spiciness, which we did do. We chose pork which was first fried, then cooked with the sauce and veggies. If you love sweet like in orange chicken, then this is the dish for you!The service was great, much better then I remember it. We were seated immediately, and the waiter was attentive. They also have a call system button now which you can click to ask for something or add things too.Overall, I was very impressed with DC2 and will come again. To go back on my question, I would rather spend few more dollars here then go to Hmong Village.“
