“-Vinai MN- My friend and I wanted to try Chef Yia's restaurant due to being homesick and wanting hmong food. We were met with such great service and sat where we could see the work area. Chef Yia was so kind and started us off with a complimentary appetizer, rice Curry balls. We ordered and the food came so fast. As soon as I took a bite, my eyes started to get teary because it tasted like food from home. I started fanning myself to not cry which Chef Yia saw and asked if the food was too spicy. We then started to explain that we were not from MN and were feeling a bit homesick and how the food reminded us of home. Chef Yia then said, here let's do this. He returned with a pot of beef soup that consisted of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, beef and green onion and white rice and shared that this dish was one of those dishes that we would eat at gathering and events. We we so shocked and so at loss with his kindness and compassion. We both took a bite and immediately lighted up. It tasted like my mom's cooking 💓. As we were nearing the end of our meal, Chef Yia told us not to stuff ourselves too full and surprised us with a complimentary dessert which further awed us. We were so lost at words for Chef Yia's kindness, generosity and comfort. We chose the Lava Cake and it was soooo good! I normally don't like sweets but we devoured this 😋. 1000/10 would recommend.“

I never would have gone into this place but I read it was associated with Petit Leon which I’ve loved, so I gave it a try. No, it is not a Mexican restaurant as I assumed ( Tijuana is in Mexico. Right?) The food has a more Asian origin ( Mapo rigatoni, scallion pancake..) and it’s delicious! The drinks were fresh and flavorful. It’s my new favorite place. “They have great food with tons of vegan options and a wonderful patio! Today I ordered my favorite dish a roti wrap and it accidentally came with chicken instead of the vegan chickpea version. That’s never happened to me there before. They felt really bad about it and made me a new one and comped my meal and that of my friend. That is above and beyond an excellent customer service. “Small spot - have not ate here. However the drinks are some of the best crafter elevated drinks I’ve had beware they’re strong but so addicting and good. The music play list is always jamming and if you go on a Thursday karaoke is like a mini concert . Get your tail over her and fast you won’t regret it“

For the owners— I’d suggest reducing the serving size of the Picada Columbiana, but keep the same price. It is SO much food (and so yummy), but easily could serve 3-4 people. Also, would be fun to do a version with no fries, but with rice and beans! We ordered them on the side, and they were perfect with the meats.“

Somewhat slower service for food as other reviews say, however, the bartenders were handling most of it so that was understandable to us. Looking forward to the new concept coming soon!“

The flavor in these dishes was something I have never experienced at any other restaurant. They genuinely have a menu that caters to everyone’s likes and tastes. Waited 20mins before getting someone to take just our drink order and it was the bartender from inside not even our server that noticed we were still sitting there with nothing. Then barley good service once our waiter did finally come. We all could have had another drink but never could since we werent asked till after we were done with food. Food was actually really good and good portions for the price. But the service ruined it. I can't recommend this place and don't know if we will back. Plenty of other places with good food that actually have good service.“

“My waiter Addison was great and very attentive. However, the short rib sandwich was over cooked and over priced. On line there were a couple of items that I didn't see on the actual menu while at the restaurant. We were given the lunch menu at the front door, this really confused me, later Addison eventually figured it out. The rest of the experience was nice. The comedy acts were funny, except for the second to last guy, that totally bombed, as part of his act was to call all women bitches. He was poorly prepared, and otherwise was not funny at all, and should not be invited back.“
