I can not wait to try something else. Let me mention as well it was within an hour of closing and we were welcomed in as if they just opened. (That is so impressive these days.) Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The price was right, the food was amazing, and the service was so welcoming I felt like I had been going there for years, come to find out they just opened this past May 2022. Panchos really reminded me of a place I went to while in Cabo... Keep up the great work. We will be back sooner than you think cause they are open for breakfast too. If you haven't tried Panchos yet, stop what you are doing and go! Go for Breackfast, lunch or dinner! You will not be disappointed.“

Nachos al pastor is a particularly generous portion (I had already eaten half of it in the photo) and perfect to share. Chips are made fresh in house. “I went twice during the insane "ICE" terror. First, to support a business then second because the food was excellent. The owner and workers there were so nice and pleasant despite the horror they were living through. I so much hate these gestapo raids on our immigrant communities. The Trump administration and all ice "employees" should be so ashamed of these tactics. They have hurt a lot of families and working people. I wish I had more disposal income to support this restaurant and many others. I definitely will be going back.“

“Family was attending a get together at Minneapolis Axe Throwing and afterwards decided to grab a bite. Decided to stop by Sonora Mexican Kitchen just happenstance. WOW. I live for Mexican food and honestly this food was really top of the list. Everyone at the table indicated that the food was the best tasting they have had for a Mexican fare. Not just saying this. I had to think when I’ve had better, and couldn’t really come up with an answer. It was a long drive for us, but I’m going to have to make this trip again. Well done Sonora Mexican Kitchen and Bar! “I wish it was a star point system to review. I usually love britos burrito. The location on Nicollet is really convenient for me. I would probably give it three stars. I always ask for one scoop of rice and they always give me extra. I ask for a little bit of corn and they put a heaping scoop on the one thing that really frustrates me is that when I ask for extra cheese, they put a pinch on and if I ask for more, they get angry and tell me that I’m going to have to pay for it. The service leaves a lot to be desired, but the pricing is good, which is why it is three stars and not five.“

I ordered three surtido/maciza pork tacos with onions, cilantro, and radish. They asked if I wanted a little extra pork fat on top, and the answer is yes—definitely do it! I also grabbed both the mild and hot salsas.

The tacos came out incredibly fast and were generously loaded with perfectly cooked pork. The first bite was rich, juicy, and packed with flavor. A squeeze of fresh lime and a spoonful of salsa balanced the richness beautifully and brought everything together.

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. But it’s actually an adorable set up inside the BP and not weird at all :) I give this place 5/5 stars! 🌯🌮💕“

“Love this place! I always have a shredded beef dish of some sort. I know it's homemade as a couple of times I have found a bay leaf inside my burrito or taco. Good thing I always add a bit of salsa to my stuff and check. I love sitting at the bar and trying the 3 different salsas that are available as a help yourself buffet style along with delicious chips. Love the margaritas but now I am spoiled, I tried one with Milagro silver tequila on the rocks. It is excellent! The Columbia Heights locale is my favorite, and I have tried each of the others! I have yet to try the patio in the summertime, so I can't tell you about it. The stained glass windows are amazing! Busy bustling place! I love it! And the staff is excellent! If I want to change an option on the menu, the staff is very accommodating. I would give this place 5 stars! I always take family and friends to La Casita Mexican Restaurant - Columbia Heights, MN when they come to visit!“

I think about their food all the time but try to only go if someone has never been or someone who knows, knows. When I said Authentic, I meant food as well as genuine costumer service.
