“5 stars for the fact that we came in with a 2.5 star expectation. Nobody knew what they were doing at the front of house and couldn't seat 3 other people or ourselves with zero work load infront of them. We went to the bar for faster service. Laura was very pleasant. A nice gentleman named Dwight was telling his stories and really enticed us in his conversation. Our service was great. Food was subpar. But the experience.. 2 great people met. The bartender and Dwight (the customer). Thank you Applebee's. 2 diamonds in the rough. If Applebee's still exists in 20 years, we'll be back again!“

“I was very apprehensive about trying this place but once I got inside all my worries subsided and I was blown away by the number of drinks they offered and the amount of food they served, the portions are enough for two people to share! The wings are the best I've ever had, the beer is cold and the live music is great. What really makes me happy is the age of the patrons who frequent this establishment, 40-50 years old, not the younger crowd, my wife and I are regulars at the North Oak location“

“Has good food deals Tuesda-Saturday. Parm garlic tots are amazing. Waitress was respectful and helpful. Been here a couple times when they were really busy and couldn't hear the person next to me and had to wait 2.5-3 hours for food. This time was a lot better, no other people ordering. The food is made to order, so it took about a 30 minutes. I had the cod fillets with Parm garlic tots. I had them bring horseradish, lemon caper butter, and tartar sauce and I mix that into the best dipping sauce I've had in a while. I'm a bit of a chef myself. Don't get their wrap unless you want a ham salad, very healthy option. LOTS of pickles.“

“I was lucky enough to host my company Christmas party in the popup holiday bar this year. I CANNOT say enough great things about the venue, food, drinks and staff! Everything was incredible and such a great value! The staff was on point. From the beginning Alexa, the event coordinator, and Adam, the general manager, made the whole process so seamless and amazing. We barely lifted a finger and all of our guests were blown away by how beautiful and fun everything was! We will 100% be having our Christmas party here every year from now on. “🚨GUACAMOLE CHANGE! We’ve been coming to Ponaks for 30 years. The guacamole has aways been one of our favorites. Today we ordered it and immediately noticed something was different. We asked the server and he confirmed that they have changed their recipe, and it’s for the worst. They’ve added “filler” by putting pico and other ingredients into it. It’s not even close to what it was. I hope they don’t start changing their food and Margaritas!!! There is a reason people keep coming back year after year! Please dont mess with perfection Ponaks!“

“Absolutely loved the food and atmosphere here! Went twice during our stay in downtown KC. Food and service were great both times! I cannot rave enough about the N/A options and mocktails. They also have gluten free Mac n cheese pasta which made my day!! Highly recommend the Elote Ribs, Nachos and Current burger!“

“I have been to Catch 22 several times with my friends and my family! It offers delish food, appetizers, drinks and fun live music...One of the best things on the menu are the grilled buffalo chicken tenders!!! The sauce is SO yummy and it's just the right amount of buffalo spice - YUM!!! Their sheet pan nachos are second to none, too, along with their salads with HOMEMADE salad dressing. If you like blue cheese, this is the place to go!!! Tell them I sent you!!! Enjoy!!!“

“The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

“After the World Cup Netherlands 3-1 Tunesia Match we took a Uber back to the Hotel and watched the US - Turkey Match at Brickhouse. Place was packed and fun. Food was fantastic, highly reccomend the cheese curds. Our server was amazing! Seeing Turkey score with seconds to go was the only negative thing that day.“

“I had I think the most delicious chicken and pear salad I’ve ever had in my life here. There was a couple of conferences going on inside the hotel so the restaurant and bar area was crowded and there was only one staff person waiting on everyone. I don’t know what the situation was in the kitchen however, even though I had to wait for a service, I knew they were doing their best and when my salad came, it was so delicious. I also ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it was a very generous pour maybe making up for the lack of help that day. It did help me enjoy my lunch very much. I would go there just to go there even if I wasn’t attending anything at the hotel.“
