“Our waitress was clearly new and inexperienced, so I don't think my experience was typical. She clearly wanted to do a good job and cared, and just needs more training. We had fried mushrooms and a beer. The mushrooms were very good and I'll return just for that. The atmosphere is great, the bar is under ground and some of the walls are rough stone. There are murals and old photographs everywhere, the decor is a blend between historic and kitschy. The caution tape made me think the bar may not be open, this is a Halloween decoration so just go down and try the door.“

“We had a family Christmas dinner for 22 over the holidays at Cafe Verona. The food was excellent, and the service was impeccable. Our incredible server, Andy, was attentive to the needs of the adults, teens, and children at all times! He truly made the special evening a success! Everything was set up early, including items for the children, to keep their attention and maximize the time together as a family. All of the dishes were outstanding, and my personal favorite was the mushroom lover's pasta and the lasagna (for my husband). The appetizers of house made hummus, garlic bread, and calamari were also enjoyed by all! If you have not tried Cafe Verona, give it a whirl. You will not regret the decision. “First time going to this restaurant as every time I’m near the fantastic smell of their food hits me in the face. Very authentic taste, the rice tasted like someone’s abuelita en el ranch made it (it was some of the best mex rice I have yet tried) everything was seasoned so well and their recipe’s call for a very generous portion of the meat that comes on the dish. I’m looking forward to eating here again.

“No wait time on a Sunday around 1:00 pm. The food was delicious and the greeter and wait staff were attentive. There was a mistake of not substituting broccoli for the fries but it was quickly resolved.
The only reason for the 4 stars was the place did not appear open from the outside. There were no cars and the building was dark inside so it was easy to drive off thinking they were closed. Only a small open sign. Luckily I tried the door. It was a Chiefs day with a 3:20 game but it is a sports place with multiple tvs. Perhaps playing up a spot with tvs turned up and cheap appetizers would help business.
I did send back my fork before eating as it was not clean. That is no big problem as the place was clean. Clean bathrooms and bussed tables.“

- Over the the past few months the quality of food coming from this location has dropped significantly. We’ve received a few pizzas with barely any cheese or sauce on them, definitely not what Minskys used to be. Please let the quality and attention to detail come back! “Order at the counter and sit. There is no wait staff. Long wait with people at only a couple of tables, but we did notice they had a lot of carry out orders. Food was good. We had square pizza, dinner salads, Polly Pop glass soda bottles, and the Greek salad.“
