“Such a cool vibe at this well decorated Latin American fare restaurant! Our family went there for brunch so had both the brunch & lunch menus available to us - the empanadas that we treated as starters were phenomenal and so many choices for the mains. Corey was our server and he was phenomenal, embodying the can-do, customer-first spirit.....and super friendly. Cant wait to go back there for a dinner next time!“

“Hidden gem! Despite being hidden in a rather boring strip mall Cowbron truly stands out as a great Mexican restaurant. It's a relatively new spot, and as I mentioned it's pretty unknown, so don't expect to wait long for a table. I personally have eaten here about 5-6 times and have yet to wait for a table on a Thursday or Friday night. Don't be fooled, they are amazing but quite off the map in terms of nearby restaurants, which is how I account for their low wait times. The food is great! The fajitas are large portions, enough for two to split after a couple baskets of chips and queso, and they have THE BEST CARNITAS I have ever had in my entire life. As a former chef I can definitely speak to this as carnitas are a dish that take time and thoughtfulness to be done great, both of which are evident once you've tried the tender meat on offer here. As a regular to Mariachis II and La Catrina I can tell you that this place has earned a spot in my top 3 favorite Mexican joints in the city. Go to Cowbron!“

“Our party of 7 went to the Maplewood location for my belated birthday celebration. The parking lot was so empty we thought they were closed. As we entered, it was evident something was wrong, because the dining room was empty except for 2 customers waiting at the bar. We waited about 10 minutes at the hostess station until an employee brought us some menus and announced that the meals would have to be takeout. We decided to order anyway. The young man who waited on us at the bar was very courteous and welcoming. It was apparent that they need responsible staff in all areas from dishwasher to chefs. I am not faulting the non-existent staff or Red Lobster for thisoccurrence as I don't know all of the facts. I would hate to lose another long establishedrestaurant in this area, that does offer good meals. I had the Salmon Soy dinner withrice, salad, grilled Brussel sprouts and it was delicious!!“

“We have been trying to get in for months, maybe even years. Yesterday my friend got a notice (from being on the waitlist) there was a table and she was able to get one. And we were thrilled. We got there early, and since we have never been the 4 only bar seats actually aren’t for a bar. So we were turned away to just have a drink. But this was completely on us, and it fully say bar is first come first serve and they we’re very nice about it. We just didn’t know how strict that was. So we went next door for a drink and came back promptly for our reservation.Well let me say this place is worth the wait. Easily one of the best restaurant in St Louis. Our server Mike was amazing. He gave great drink recs and sold every dish with his descriptions. Everything was more than perfect. The food, the staff, the ambience. It all makes perfect sense why this place is jammed. I only hope we can get on the list sooner than later, but we will be trying. 10 out of 10!! Keep it up Wright’s Tavern!!Parking: Easy to find free street parking after 5, but could see how busier days may be more limited.“

“This is a GREAT neighborhood restaurant! Great ambiance in the front room! Very good wine list; we thoroughly enjoyed the Manzone Gramolere Barolo. The food was excellent, and the portions quite large on the Chicken Marsala. One of the specials was Divers Scallops on a bed of risotto, and the scallops were perfectly done. Service after the entree could have been more attentive.“

“Will forever love B.O.B. but the amount of tickets they sell really needs to be cut back and this isn't just me but dozens of people who attend concerts there agreeing. You're shoulder to shoulder in there to the point of being very uncomfortable. You should be able to have enough room to at least move through the crowd. Also seems like a fire safety hazard.“

“Our server Josh (yes, coincidence) nailed it. Attentive but not overbearing. The cocktails were a hit too, and I'd recommend the Apple Bottom Jeans and the Violet Mojito.My wife and I stuck to small plates as we weren't in the mood for large plates. The lobster roll was out of this world, and while it looks small, they manage to pack so much delectable lobster into it. The pork belly was also incredible though it was light on the amount of pork belly in it. The spam fried rice was really good. The chili flakes elevate the entire plate, but if you don't like spicy food, I might suggest you get something else. Finally, the cheddar biscuits...they weren't very good. They were a bit tough, not fluffy, and were portioned in a way that made them awkward to eat (too tall). I would not recommend the biscuits. But overall, great experience, 4.5/5.“

“Can be a little loud when they are busy. Food is good and you get lots, won't leave hungry.Parking: Depending on how busy they are, sometimes parking is not great. Restaurant shares parking with a convenience type store/sandwich shop, and I believe a laundromat around the corner.“

“Have been going here for years but last night's service and food was beyond any experience we have ever had. I commented on their Facebook post about a dessert and how awesome it would be to try the next night when we were there. They set one aside and put it with our reservation! That is about the highest level of service I have ever experienced at any restaurant. Jamie is an amazing host and I will make sure to request his section every time we make a reservation. He has been our host the last couple times and just goes above and beyond for all his guests. Cannot say enough great things about every experience we have had here.“

“I had the shrimp boil and the Brussel sprouts and potatoes that were crispy were fantastic. The sausage was a Great blend of flavor and heat. The shrimp were terrific. “This is a VERY nice restaurant in Clayton. I didn't realize it was fine dining and showed up in a hoodie and jeans. At first, I was concerned that I would be turned away or treated differently because of my attire, but that wasn't the case. We ( my son and I) were led to a booth and ordered drinks. My son ordered a burger, which looked delicious. He confirmed that it was. I ordered the lobster bisque, and it was to die for!! Velvety smooth and full of chunks of lobster! Honestly, the BEST lobster bisque I've ever had! For dessert, we had cheesecake, and again, it was divine!The atmosphere is beautiful!! You are immediately filled with a sense of calm. Its the kind of place you would take someone for a very special occasion...like a marriage proposal. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. “This was very first time eating here. The cuisine is excellent! I had the lunch special, Generals chicken for $10.99. Fast, gracious, attentive service once you are seated. However, they never even made eye or greeted me upon arrival, or after sitting down. Make sure you initiate it or you may be "waiting to be seated" for awhile lol.“

Our reservation was for 5:15, and we admittedly were a bit late, but informed our server that we needed to leave by 6:30 to make our show. “Really nice place inside. Don't know what the bar looked like because we didn't go in. I have heard people say that it's pricey and of course it is because this isn't your average Mexican restaurant. The menu is small plate oriented and the menu ismore like a tasting menu. The food is higher end than all the other places and outstanding. I can't comment on their drink menu because I seldom drink when going out. I will say that the pricing seem to be a bit higher than most places which will account for a higher per person ticket if one has two or three drinks. Still, our total was $70 ore tip for 2 people including 2 beers.The wait time between "courses" is a bit long but not enough for me to really complain about. The staff were friendly dmv knowledgeable about the menu. It may not me a place we'll go to monthly but we will definitely be back!“

“While in town I had to visit. We only had time for a quick take out of fried green tomatoes and fries. The food was great! Service was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing! While we were there the gentleman that was singing on stage played a Beatles song and the place wasn't busy as it was late but wow it was alive! The shrimp and grits are the best I have has this side of the Mississippi! It really hits all the cozy, comfort dish points.
