“Very good Taco Tuesday special. Place looked nice, definitely not dirty with newer furnishings. I could imagine that during an evening with music it might get crowded and look dirty. It was not crowded on a Tuesday lunch. I can recommend the taco special and tater tots and look forward to going back to try the Burger special.“

“In town for a tournament for my daughter's hockey team and had a smashburger and a cold beer and let me tell you it was awesome! It is kind of pricey but you are paying for convenience. I don't mind paying extra money for quality food It was great“

“Our experience at Robin exceeded all expectations, from beginning to end. I was cautiously optimistic, particularly after reading an interview with the chef where he spoke about the intensity of the experience after the NYT recognition. It is clear that whatever rhythm may have been interrupted, it was definitely found in spades at our visit last night.

The service was excellent and our server provided some excellent advice on the menu that ended up being spot on. I was struggling to decide between two dishes and he took into account the heaviness/lightness of my other dishes, taste preference and the two preparations. It was much appreciated and well received.

The dirty martini was the best I’ve ever had. I had two and the second was just as good as the first.

We had both snacks and I am still dreaming about the Liver Corn Cookie. The play on sweet, salty, and textures was literal perfection. Everything was amazing, but that cookie was maybe my favorite bite at a restaurant. Ever.

We ordered the carrots, soup, dumplings, trout, mushrooms and pork steak. For dessert, I had the cheese plate and my husband ordered the ginger cake. There wasn’t a single miss. The skin on the trout was incredibly crispy and just divine. The carrots were lovely, the pork steak incredibly tender and the mushrooms were beautifully seasoned.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough and can absolutely see myself at the bar on a random Wednesday, drinking martinis and begging for more of those cookies.“

“I had lunch at Halftime yesterday and the food was wonderful. The special of the day was a Smashburger, homemade chips and a salad. I also shared some southwest chicken rolls as an appetizer. The southwest chicken rolls are always great, but I really loved the Smashburger and homemade chips. The chips had a really tasty seasoning on them. Apparently, this meal was a special only and not on the everyday menu, but it should be. Everything was delicious and our server was great.“

I should mention that I had a double chocolate almond brownie, that was tempting me at the ordering counter. 😜 The young lady at the order counter was very kind and helpful, especially since it was my first time. “20260608 Vacationing in STL and had a dinner with my friends from STL here tonight. Kailey was our waitress and she was excellent. This is my 3rd time visiting STL in the last 3.5 years, and the first time I had an attentive, competent and friendly waitress taking care of me and my friends. The food was good, and the prices are very reasonable considering how inflation has negatively impacted everyone's (businesses and individuals) wallet. The outdoor dogfriendly covered patio with ceiling fans was perfect, protecting us from the summer heat. I would come back for my future gathering with friends. Thank-you, Kailey!!“

“Every month my husband and I meet two other couples for a weekday breakfast. We like to try a different restaurant each time. This month, we went to The Village Cafe of Lake Saint Louis. The food and service were amazing!! The breakfast menu was very extensive including “make your own omelets and skillets”. I love a good steak skillet with mushrooms, onions, American fries and cheddar cheese, and this make your own creation at the Cafe was one of the best I have ever had! My husband had a make your own omelet, customized the way he likes it!! The other couples also liked the meals they ordered, and the portions were quite large, so boxes were needed. Prices are reasonable as well!! I think I found my new favorite breakfast restaurant!! 5 stars!!“

“Wife and I decided to hit the easy button after walking nine holes and grab lunch at Ruthie’s. Had been years since I’d eaten there, and certainly delivered! Sat on the patio overlooking the 9th hole, and bartender came to take our drink and food orders. Had the 2nd Shift Brooligan, which was a great IPA. We split a toasted ravioli app and the Crush Burger. Ravs we’re good, burger was absolute fire. Fries were hot and crispy, the way they should be!

Vegetarian options: They have a Black bean burger for the veggie in your life.“

“I have been here countless times and they've never been open. Today, for a change, they were open and I was waiting here for an hour for a colleague on a delayed flight.

It's a simple bar and they do have a kitchen. We had a round of beers. Expensive beers. I don't quite understand how a tin of local beer is this costly. I could understand it if the place was on the other side of security, but Missouri Vineyards is groundside next to the ticket counters.

Oh, and they only accept credit cards for payment. The bartender who served us was nice. She does accept cash for tips.“

“All the waitstaff, even the hosts and dishwashers, do a great job under pressure, in odd weather conditions where they led us to evacuate, suggesting menu orders, and keeping the place clean, harmonious, and hospitable. The chefs could do a lot better in pricing the menu, adding seasoning and larger portions, as well as not removing the popular dishes from the menu. The interior design is also eerie because the huge butterfly graphics do not suit the vibe but again the service here is unmatched.“

“Sasha’s on DeMun delivers exactly what a neighborhood wine bar should: confident food, a thoughtful beverage list, and an easygoing patio vibe. The standout at my visit was the French dip—served on a crisp, well-toasted baguette with generously seasoned, tender roast beef. The au jus had real depth (beefy, not overly salty) and elevated every bite. Portion size was satisfying without being heavy, and the plating was tidy.

Service was attentive and professional—waters stayed full, pacing was relaxed, and the staff knew the menu. The patio is comfortable for a leisurely lunch, and the marble-topped tables add a touch of polish. If there’s a quibble, it’s that the sandwich could use a small side (greens or fries) to round out the plate, but the quality of the main more than compensates.

Overall, a reliable, classy spot for a casual meal or a glass of wine with elevated café fare. I’d happily return—especially for that French dip.“

“Very nice lunch experience. Half salads were huge for being half a salad. Spouse had the mediterranean salad with balsamic and I had the Charlotte (walnuts, blue cheese with fresh fruit and a delicious raspberry vinaigrette). Absolutely delicious. Reuben sandwich that we split was tasty and substantial. Derek did a great job at lunch. We would return based on his service and our food.“

“Outdoor seating is along Manchester road but had sufficient barriers that you never notice. Server Heather was charming. Food seemed to take a while to arrive and the French fries weren't very hot. My Brettman burger was delicious, would definitely get it again. My husband got a Philly Beef with onion rings and thought they were good also. Servings of fries and onion rings were ample, those are some of my fries on his plate.“
