“What a gem and blessing to the craft beer scene. I looooove Boulevard with all my heart. It’s consistently one of the BEST breweries in the region. In addition to beer, hard seltzers and tea, craft cocktails— their ‘Fling’ selection, which is on point— and non-alcoholic offerings are also available. There are quiet spots and social areas for gathering around the brewery, as well as spaces for private events. I would recommend this spot to novices and enthusiasts alike. The staff here are wonderful, approachable, and the environment is welcoming. The beer hall is a lot of fun; I enjoy it every time I go….. which is often. It never gets boring. There are always fun events and parties going on. It’s exciting and I’m never disappointed. Even on slower days, there are plenty of opportunities for engagement. Grab a beer and take a stroll around the brewery. In terms of art and history, It’s almost like a museum of sorts. Very impressive! The gift shop is always stocked nicely and looks fantastic every time I visit. There’s an awesome assortment of clothing, stickers, accessories, beer (by the case and individually) etc. it’s well kept and looks great. “Room 39 was the perfect spot for my only night in Kansas City. I made the mistake of deciding to go vegetarian, right before I visited a city famous for its bbq meat! So glad I found this gem of a restaurant. I had a perfect table by the window, with the radiator under the table making it cozy and toasty. The cocktails and dishes were fantastic - two Boulevardiers, a Brussels sprout soup, gnocchi with goat cheese, and the flourless chocolate cake with Earl Grey tea. My server Tory was terrific. “Amazing BBQ joint in NKC. The atmosphere is perfectly BBQ, wooden tables, BBQ theme decor, and almost a picnic feel. The tables are set with their 3 sauces (regular, spicy, and their take on a Carolina style), plus smoked ketchup. We tried the two meat platter: sliced sausage, burnt ends, Buffalo slaw, burnt end chili, plus Texas toast; and the brisket sandwich, which is my go to on a first visit. Everything was amazing! The brisket was sliced thin, not too thin, and not fatty at all. The burnt end chili was so full of flavor, and the slaw/beans were great. Hawg Jaw is definitely going in our rotation.“

“Amazing!! A lot of sushi restaurants have gone down hill in the past couple years and while I get why, rising prices making it hard for restaurants to stay afloat, it doesn’t make for good sushi. The quality of the fish is often not great and the amount served compared to the rice makes it seem like a total waste of money. I hadn’t been to Friends in a couple years, moved further a way and kind of forgot about it but this is my second time in the past couple weeks and it’s sooo good.
