“We went to Trattorias yesterday and the waitress and her staff helping her were just incredibly amazing! Leslie our waitress was phenomenal!! She told us about the specials and made them sound delicious and well worth our minimal wait - I would highly recommend you go here for all your special occasions!! “We have traditionally gone to Bartolino’s South County. When they opened the one in West County we were very happy because it’s close to home as well as a very nice place to have dinner or lunch.. We have had dinner there several times And each time the food has been great and the service excellent. Very nice courteous professional people tonight we had Michell as our attendant and she did an excellent job. The atmosphere is very nice yet very comfortable business casual. Prices are not cheap, but considering what you get they’re fair. We will continue to go to Bartolino‘s, and we consider it one of our favorites for a good Italian.“

“I had the best experience ordering 4/1/26.
I ordered a gluten free calzone on DoorDash and added steak to it. They called me and said hey just letting you know the steak marinade has soy and we wanted to make sure that’s okay. I told them it was not and I asked if they had another protein, they did and I added that and all is well“

“We recently moved “locally” and Our trying out new restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised with “A’mis” Took Our four kids there for lunch today. The ENTIRE dining area was full, yet the short staffed staff did not miss a beat. Drinks filled, food brought out, they did forget silverware but They were SO busy and also so on top of it! Truly impressed as a former server and hostess back in the day. My kids finished the cheese sticks in less than 5 minutes. The fettuccini was amazing, and so was the New York style pizza. The house dressing is good as well. On top of that the wait staff was so friendly and kind to Us. You sometimes sadly get dirty looks bringing 4 kids under 13 into a restaurants alone, even if they are well behaved! We will be back!!! Thank-You!“

“Bartolinos South is our favorite nice restaurant. Not only is the food consistently wonderful but they always work to please you. We celebrate all special occasions there. Recently we reserved their front room which holds a max of 16, I believe. They went out of their way to make the setting perfect (even bringing in a small table for our use). Our waiter, Karen, was discreet in providing us perfect service without interrupting our shared conversation/memories as we were toasting a dear friend on her birthday. I can’t say enough about how flawless they made our luncheon. Bartolinos will remain our favorite not only for the quality of the food but for their personal attention.“

“In from out of town and had dinner at bar. 10 regulars filed in and I was suddenly a “regular”. I had delicious wine, Caesar salad and pasta with grilled chicken. I chose safe (again delicious) but the specials of the night included elk sausage and catfish.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pictured below is the Gonzo calzone- Salami, dates, spinach, garlic herb cheese, mozzarella, mascarpone-ricotta blend, and garlic oil with garlic butter on the side. My husband looked at me like I was crazy when I read off dates but the slight sweetness against all of that savory is what made it!! We also tried the Fatty B, Meat me in St Louie, Magic Carpet Ride, and the Gyro. They were all amazing but the Gonzo and the Gyro were my favorites. The Magic Carpet Ride is also a must try if you're into mushrooms.“

“We were in St Peter’s Mo. and were going to go to Olive Garden for my Wife’s birthday, when I told our clerk at the hotel she said she would recommend the Pasta House over the Olive Garden. “I was in the area looking for a nice meal for lunch at work. I stumbled across Sauce on the Side. I ordered one of the choices of Calzone. Later, after I bit into the sandwich for the first time, I knew it was a hit. Everything about it was perfect. I also ordered a salad. OMG... lettuce and meat everywhere throughout the salad. It was fresh and quite tasty. I was so satisfied after eating my lunch that I know I'll be visiting Sauce on the Side again and again.“

“I had the Spinach lunch salad which was very large (my husband didn’t think I would finish it). It was supposed to have feta cheese, bacon and candied pecans on top. I was very surprised at the large amounts of these add-ins. I expected about half the amount they gave me. The spinach was perfectly dressed, not too much and not too little dressing, just a silky coating on the greens. My spinach salad looked even better than the photo posted by Carol Boss.
My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. He ordered a dinner portion, which was very large. He admitted that he should have gotten the lunch portion. We brought home one of the two large meatballs with lots of spaghetti. Fifteen years ago, he worked in Webster Groves and would go to this restaurant for special occasions. I asked him if the spaghetti was as good as he remembered and he said yes.
The music was all old time Italian classics with singers like Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. I knew the words to all of the songs.“

“Got dinner last night with the family, and our waitress Mariah was fantastic! Our 2 little girls just adored her! Of course we got the fried cheese which is always top tier! The pasta was fantastic and my kids both enjoyed their food. It’s always nice to eat somewhere and the staff treat you like family. “I was at Pasta House today with a group. Our server was excellent and greeter was pleasant! My side House Salad was delicious… the way I remember as I haven’t been in a long time and rolls delish as well. However my Chicken Breast was terrible and honestly should be taken off the Menu. I’m actually shocked that they let it go out of the kitchen as were the ladies sitting near me. The chicken breast had obviously been cut in half, so was very thin and dry with burnt pieces on it and was hard to cut and chew. I tried 2 bites and then asked to get another one which my group was about done so I only took one bite and took the rest home. I just tried eating it for dinner and although it was a tiny bit better than the first one, it was still dry and inedible so I made myself a sandwich instead. The side pasta I brought home also wasn’t good. I really do not like to do bad reviews but I spent $15 on this mostly inedible meal and thought others should know Thank you!“

“Pizza is great and they support of course local music. I was in a few nights ago and the owner stops at my table to check on things. He said the pizza looks a little overdone, I can take that off your bill, but actually I like it a littel well done and crispy, so no problem but nice that the owner himself offered to make it right.“

“Outdoor seating is along Manchester road but had sufficient barriers that you never notice. Server Heather was charming. Food seemed to take a while to arrive and the French fries weren't very hot. My Brettman burger was delicious, would definitely get it again. My husband got a Philly Beef with onion rings and thought they were good also. Servings of fries and onion rings were ample, those are some of my fries on his plate.“

I loved being able to do the four course meal with some of the specials. It was wonderful to see the dining room full in this well-established restaurant in the heart of Clayton. I remember being wowwed when I first dined at The Crossing 25 years ago and it is still just as fabulous! We cannot wait to return.“
