“I had three bad experiences at global quesadilla on 141 and Clayton The first time I went in there they told me they don't accept cash. the second time I went in I got a quesadilla, some chips, and queso. the queso tasted awful. it tasted like warmed up canned cheese or something. I'd buy at the gas station but not the hot stuff in the dispenser that tasted better. And to be honest, there's nothing special about the quesadillas for the ingredients that go into it, the amount of time it takes to make and what they're charging for it. I find it ridiculous. if it's not going to taste good it should be cheap. at that point I'd rather make them at home. my third bad experience is a as a doordasher. after confirming the name of my customer, I proceeded to include my business card. global quesadilla doesn't own that food. that food was paid for by my customer. they have no right to tell me I can't put a business card with the food. the employee proceeds to yell at me multiple times to hand the food back to which I responded no twice and started walking out of the store. he proceeded to follow me out of the store continuing to yell at me and I had to tell him multiple times to back up/go inside / leave me alone. and if he touched me there's going to be a problem I shouldn't be in fear for my physical safety going into any establishment. they were also rude and unprofessional the first day I went in trying to pay with cash. how they've handled themselves multiple times is completely unacceptable. there's a reason why I only ate the food once. if I want Mexican food I'll make it myself or go to Taco Bell or a sit-down Mexican restaurant.“

When we walked in Josh was on it, made us feel we were “regulars”, like he new us personally and Stacey, the hostess that seated us, was equally as welcoming and we were seated promptly. I don’t believe we got our kind servers name, but the beautiful young lady was on it as well. The chefs/kitchen were on par as well, hubby had one of the eggs Benedict with a side of biscuit and gravy, I had the Ranchers beef salad, one of the best beef and blue cheese salads I’ve EVER had, and believe me, I’ve had a “few” 😋🤫😊 Hubs also loved the huge coffee mugs his coffee and my Kahluah/hot chocolate(yum on this damp chilly day)were served in…this where my only complaint would be, my mug was chipped along the rim 😅 All that said, it was just a fantastic way to start our Sunday. We got a call today and they had a fire so they couldn’t open but graciously made us a reservation at j Gilbert’s. “This is the ONLY place in STL that actually feels like LA on the inside. The atmosphere is fantastic and brightens your mood. A great place to work remotely if you have the midday blues.

As for the food, the sides are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, however they go cold almost as soon as you receive it. So eating slow and enjoying your meal becomes quite a hassle. The steak is yummy but the cook on it is not consistent. The pinker pieces definitely have more flavor, unfortunately much of the steak I have received over the past couple orders have been over cooked and a bit dry. The miso crunch salad is very similar to the Health Nut Chicken Asian Salad (The famous Kardashian Salad) except for two distinct differences. The “crunch” is non-existent as there are not any won tons or rice strips. The salad could really use some sort of makeshift crouton to achieve this instead of relying on cabbage. The dressing is also more on the bitter side and doesn’t have the bright flare you’d come to expect from an Asian salad, making it fall short. A little sweetness and citrus added to the dressing would fix this. As for the drinks, same problem with sweetness. The lemonade is too sour and without the sweetness in their mango sencha green tea, it’s no different than making a mostly tasteless tea for yourself at home. Would love to see Flower Child tweak their recipes just a bit to add sweetness and brightness and this establishment would be 5/5 stars.“

“While I'll still recommend it...I did go to the Twin Oaks location tonight and they had taken the adult grilled cheese with tomato soup off the menu. 😢😢😢 I just had it there a few weeks ago. They had also taken the zucchini appetizer off the menu. Everything I went there to order is not completely off the menu. And there isn't a suitable substitute. I hope you'll consider bringing those back.“

“Valley Park MO location was very accommodating to a party of almost 30 outside. We were in the covered patio area, perfect for a small youth sports group. Waitresses were organized, food was fast and delicious. Highly recommend.“

Please give Sheri some good juju and hang on the best employee you have! First and last impressions are very important in the business. She made the night of my friends birthday party! “This is a CLASSIC breakfast establishment! If you're familiar with classic breakfast places from the 80s where the portions are huge and prices are still reasonable, this is one of them! Nothing flashy. Fast, reasonably priced, classic dishes. This is what Gen X would consider breakfast comfort food! Pancakes, sausage, bacon, omelets, coffee, etc. And all the little variations on those themes. It is all fast and easy. This is not gourmet food! Go hungry and leave heavy! 😁“

“Its located in the hotel we were staying in( Doubletree ) we got breakfast from here, and were very impressed. They have Turkey for a pork substitute Inwhich that gives them 2 stars of the bat without even tasting a forkful in my book. I want to come back and get a Burger from here, looks good and well put together“

“We have been there MANY times since they moved (and before). They have hired multiple executive chefs. I think they can't decide upon the clientele they want to attract. A couple of visits ago, their classic Wellington (my usual since the 70's and as a kid, before) had been changed so much I have vowed to never order it again. The meat, the sauce, the contents of the sauce, and the shell were ALL no longer classic. We were there again on 19-Sept-25 to hear a friend play guitar... as we always do. The dressing on the Ceaser Salad was on the cusp of uneatable. Fiends at two OTHER tables (there were a bunch of us) also found the salads they got as not acceptable. This is strange since over the years I have eaten perhaps over 50 such salads with nary a complaint. I might also add that removing the two little private rooms has changed our brunch options. We have been regular brunch customers since before the name Herbie's got employed (and then a move). And before the Wellington disaster, we were regular Wedding/Birthday celebration customers. Shame on BOTH accounts.“
